I have worked in entertainment production/labor since I was 17. I am 33 now, so... wow. 16 years. Goes fast.

I mostly work as a free lance arena rigger or as a lighting director, in fact I ran lights for Ben Folds last night, Marshall Tucker band 3 days ago and the day before that it was "Spank Harder" an off-Broadway musical satire of the Fifty Shades of Grey books. Ill be traveling up to St Louis to rig Luke Bryan this weekend (working for our very own Sum1BTRthnU) then I'll come home to do the lighting for The Presidents Of The United States Of America (Millions of peaches, peaches for me...).

I gotta say.... I love my job.

"Fire on the mountain, lightning in the air, gold in them hills and its waiting for me there"

*cue crappy flute solo*

Anyway, I have the misfortune of investigating service complaints against lawyers registered to practice in England and Wales. The lawyers, who have a reputation obviously, are actually the normal ones. A worryingly high proportion of the people doing the complaining are actual nutjobs. And I'm talking proper nutjobs.

What are your top sellers?

Ramen noodles is the top seller. The canteen probably sells 30 or 40 thousand a month. Tortillas and canned goods sold a lot too. Candy bars and chips too. I noticed the women buy more junk food than the men. You walk onto a yard with women and they're all laying on the grass tanning and grazing. You walk on a men's yard and they're all exercising and working out. As you would expect, women tend to gain weight in prison.

You have any hidden menu items? How would one go about getting a rock hammer?

Middle School history teacher. I'm the defensive coordinator, as of last year, for the Freshman football team after a 2 year hiatus. I have coached high school football in some capacity (JV head coach for 2 years) for 10 years . In the winter I'm the JV boys basketball head coach & Freshman boys volleyball head coach in the spring.
Sort of thinking of something like this for a second career.
I love coaching and working with kids. Have coached kids that age. Both fun and challenging.
Good on ya.

Lots of former things.
Former drummer, studio manager, business owner, truck driver.
Now a faceless drone. A low level manager for a massive communications company.
The life of quiet desperation.
Could be much worse.

At first a Landscape Architect with a design/build company for 13 years. Ran myself into the ground and had to give it up. Hooked up with the State of PA and taught underprivileged youths how to do the trades and about life, trying to fill in the gaps of what they didn't get in their upbringing. I thought I was being hired as a construction foremen. I had no idea what was being thrown at me. Before that experience I had a bit of disdain for most of the delinquent types but it was a real eye opener for me. It made me look at them all from a more humanistic standpoint and low and behold I had a talent for it.

I resumed with the landscaping part time while with the state and then the Governor shut the State program down. Had neck surgery (c1-4 fused to my skull) and have been looking for a full time job ever since. Unfortunately I can't pass the physicals for some of the jobs I was considered for. So, I am running my landscaping part time with a few guys doing the heavy stuff and always looking for a full time position that I can handle. My wife wants me to go the disability route but I have been resisting for 3 years now. I really don't want to go down that road.

I've found underprivileged youth to be pretty neat kids with lots of exciting hopes n dreams and important things to say. So sad society dis's them the way it does.

Statistician for a company which tests blood samples for cancer in order to detect it early. Quite boring but it puts food on my table and hopefully helps saves a life or two.

I agree that they are interesting but most of the ones I worked with didnt have hopes and dreams past getting high very day. Some of their background stories were horrific and I could understand how they ended up the way they did. I often figured that I easily could be in their shoes if I was dealing with their issues my entire life. I got to disliking the hardcore crowd the exclaimed that those kids just need to grow up. That was true for a few but most have issues that probably will never be resolved. There definitely seem to be two types of people. The ones that take the things they hate about their lives and vow to change them, and the type that just give into it all and continually ask 'why me'.

My parents way of keeping us out of trouble in the 70s and 80s was to look down on the cigarette smokers and drug users. They instilled the attitude in us and it worked, for the most part. My parents definitely had their limitations but I understand that they did the best they could with what they had to work with.

It's so sad to see how parents can create such enormous challenges for a child, long before the child really even has an opportunity to experience the world for themselves.

I manage a Rent to Own store called Rent One. It is a national chain, not nearly as big as Rent a Center or Aaron's. Basically I get hated on by half the people who know nothing about what I do, and the people who rent from me....I would say 70% of them are dirtbags who blame me for something or other atleast on a monthly basis....fellas, my fuckin job sucks! Lol

I'm a retired chef. Last job was kitchen supervisor for Harrahs. Love the chef part, hated the supervisor part but that is where the money is. Never had the guts to do my own place as the investment of time and money was beyond what I wanted to put out!
