Before this season, all we saw the last few years was how good Stafford was and how much he has carried the Rams. This year he has the best season of his career and I’ve seen people saying that Drake Maye would win more games on this team. And that he was actually not good in the Super Bowl win vs the Bengals.

It feels like the goalposts have shifted now that he’s comfortably in HOF territory. Idk if it’s because fans prefer an underdog story rather than “he’s finally made it” story. But it just seems like a big shift against him in the last few weeks.

Maybe I need to stay off Reddit and Twitter lol
Anything that is self published like Reddit Twitter YouTube has a chance to be extremely biased and should not be mistaken for journalism.
You may have ran into some old Lions fans that are jealous that they got stuck with Goff while we're polishing our Super Bowl trophy. :)

I do think there are a lot of talking heads out there that probably ripped Stafford or dismissed him as overrated for his years in Detroit. So even after winning a SB, they still don't want to admit that they were wrong about him.

I’ve actually noticed Lions fans still rooting for Stafford. It seems like mostly Patriots fans(god dammit I forgot how insufferable they are), and NFC west opposing fans.

It’s nothing new, really. There has always been a huge contingent of media/fans who don’t respect Stafford. I live relatively close to Detroit and it’s always been this way because of the Lions’ near complete lack of success during the Stafford years.
That's right bitch ass media... He's going for #2.
