Separate the assets into two groups and see if it's easier to choose.

First Group = Players on Roster
Jared Goff
Todd Gurley
Andrew Whitworth

Second Group = Non Roster Personnel
Stan Kronke
Sean McVay
Les Snead
Wade Phillips

I still have to go with McVay, but Snead, Gurley, and Goff, are tied for second.
You made it worse now!

The Rams Organization is the biggest asset. From the owner on down to the equipment guys and everyone in between. All the pieces are in place. Stan has put money into the coaching staff, scouting staff, players and facilities. It's all come together.

Leadership.

Interesting thought, and while I don't think it's tops, it's in the mix. I can see that.

Sort of like saying strategy.

This is such a great discussion, and has so many possibilities now because the Rams don't completely stink from the top down.

It's fun now versus being the complete fucking drudgery of the last nearly 30 years with the one blip when lighting in a bottle was captured before someone threw the bottle down and smashed it.

There are many converging drivers.

OK well before you give all that credit to Kroenke take a look at his other ventures into sports franchises.

Including the Rams OK. He's into profits, nothing else.

This is a business, not a passion.

The Rams have captured great luck. His other teams mostly SUCK. The Rams have a great GM who copped a great QB and helped hire a fantastic HC. None of that was Kroenke.

Look at his other franchises in other sports.

He became complete owner of the Rams in 2010.

What was the record from 2010 to last year?

He has a lot of under .500 seasons on his resume in the almost 30 years he has been part or full owner of the Rams.

He also has that all over his resume as a spots mogul.

He's the weakest link IMO.

BUT..........the Rams have enough in front of him to be good or great for many years.

Yeah, I don't think Kroenke is a sports genius.

The two things that are working for the Rams (now) is that he doesn't want to interfere with player personnel matters, and he is willing to open up his checkbook as advised. He was willing to approve signing Fisher to a huge contract for a HC. When it wasn't working out, he approved firing him with a bunch of money owed.

Really, that is about all you can hope for in an owner.

Much of the time yes, but sometimes owners are more engaged.

The two things working for the Rams are actually three things.

Goff/McVay/Snead.

You can pick the order.

Not a Stan fan?

I don't care about Stan's other sports ventures. Is he motivated by money or the desire to make the Rams a winning organization? I imagine a lot of both. It's more the organization that's in place than Stan running things but he does write the checks and is at the top of the organizational chart. Demoff, Snead and McVay working together have made the Rams a destination organization for many players. Moving to LA had to be a part of the reason. The Rams have a great coaching staff and trainers too. The Rams have become a first class organization which is their biggest asset.

Which is weird because when he took over all the articles were talking about how the Rams were in great hands because all his other teams were constantly in the playoffs. However, since then he had had to turn over ownership/responsibility for those teams to other family members. Then they went downhill.

Meanwhile, he gave Spags a chance and that guy failed miserably. Then he brought in Fisher who, while he couldn't get above .500, made the Rams respectable and brought in a lot of talent (despite how poorly coached the offense may have been).

Now he's brought in a great young coach, the team appears to have turned around, and instead of saying "wow, the teams that were actually under his control usually did pretty well and it looks like we're on that track too" some people want to blame him for his son and the other managers running the other teams into the ground.

Oh well. I'll just revel in the fact that, more or less, the team has seen relatively continuous improvement since he took over.
