It was Dec 24, 1985. Monday Night Football at the Kingdome. Eric Dickerson’s first game of the season.
I was like 17 years old. It was my first pro football game ever. It went like this:

My father bought us round trip Amtrak tickets to watch the Eric Dickerson and Dieter Brock led Rams play the undefeated Seahawks.

Eric Dickerson ran for 150 yards! Game was pretty close until after half time.

Then we blew it open for a 35-17 lead and then a 35-24 win.

I got beer “spilt” on me from Seahawks fans who after we pulled away, later started rooting for us. Lol. Steve Largent moved up on the all time receiver list that night to number 8. I think that was one of the last games in the Kingdome.

We had beaten the Seahawks and the “12th man” and on the train ride home up the Columbia River to The Dalles, all you could hear was people shouting “RAMMERS” woot woot! It is quite the memory. I’ll never forget that evening.

Only been to 3 games - all rather unique.

Earlier this month went to the Seattle game at SOFI with my wife and daughter. My oldest son suprised us when he showed up to the game. That was awesome.

Four years ago, my daughter and I went to the Seattle game at the LA Coliseum. That was nice because the Coliseum is cool, but it was special since it was with my daughter.

Fourteen years ago, CenturyLink took several of us from our office, including my wife and I, to their suite to see Arizona play. Since it also incldued field access - I can say I was on the field with my man crush.... who did not disappoint that day, as Kurt posted his 4th 300+ yard game in a row and a record 395 passing yards! I tried to tone down my cheering from the house seats, as my wife kept jabbing my ribs...

Wasn't cold at all for that game. Now the next day it snowed but for the game is was really nice.
I went to the Baltimore game in 2015 and froze my ass off

On Friday - I saw the expected forecast and said screw it since it is a 90 minute drive

What's the Thordaddy game? Can't believe I don't know!

We had an early poster with the user name ThorDaddy. I don't remember exactly now, whether he was sick with a terminal disease, or what. But members here decided to get together with ThorDaddy at this game and it became a ROD event He was a beloved poster here in the St Louis years....

Oh...thanks! I totally remember ThorDaddy. I didn't connect him to the game's nickname and missed out on all that. Do you recall which game? If not, don't bother taking time to look it up, just if you know off the top of your head.

Opening day 2015 I believe. As @Selassie I and @RamFan503 have said, it was pretty cool.
IIRC both Stu's (great) kids were still in high school, and now they are both out of college.
Feeling old yet buddy? :laugh4:

Just wait...

without a doubt the Thordaddy game will go down as the best ever.

but we really have to make arrangements for another game soon .. one that'll bring in 50 members at least

The NFC Championship game last year against the Whiners! Actually cried tears of joy.
Was there at the Coliseum for the 54-51 Chiefs game and also the Vikings game when Goff had a crazy 456 passing yard game and they won the game.
Also there for the Cowboys playoff game in 2018 and Eric Dickerson walked over & signed my #29 jersey, which was a thrill.

The two that stand out for me are:

The ass whooping we put on the Colts (the Tavon game) where we beat the playoff bound Colts 38-8 in Indy

In STL, beat the Peyton Manning led Broncos 22-7

In the McVay era I've been to two games - at the Lions in 2018 which was a stressful win, and the Steelers game in Pittsburgh in 2019. I'm three hours away from Pittsburgh but that was the longest three hour drive of my life
