Any given Sunday.

Week 1 games often don’t mean anything.

I see some Major matchup advantages for the eagles so I’m not counting my chickens before they hatch.

I am not sold we can stop the run or cover their TE’s for one.

Also, if Swartz sells out against the short pass game, we will need to hold the ball longer and our Oline is suspect.

Finally, Dallas run defense is pretty weak, we might find ourselves back to last year where we are in lots of 3rd and long due to a nonexistent run game.

I thought I read that Lane Johnson would be slotted in at LT with Peters moving to LG.

Peters is a massive human being. He could likely generate a lot of push from the guard spot but I think AD would kill him with quickness and getting under his pads.
Yeah I haven't been tracking Philly's injury status and whatnot. Makes sense they want Peters out of the LT spot though. Putting him at LG would probably give them a better chance with AD but I think the Rams will flip AD to the RG 3T as well in order to get some of that other overweight OL.

IMO Philly is not the same team up front on offense, that's for sure. I think their line should struggle with our defensive front. But our OL will probably struggle with their front too. Should be a tough and physical game with a lot of ground action and short passing.

I think this game will see Rapp get a ton of snaps in place of the WILB. Rapp can man up quite well vs most TEs and help that run defense.

Peters at LT is a fat slob. The dude will need help vs a solid rusher. I don't know if we can take advantage but we'll see maybe one of our rotated blindside OLBs can eat him up. The other matchup I like is AD vs either of the Eagles OGs. Both are poor and will require consistent double help.

Raegor looks pretty good and gives them potential for explosive returns. Our punt returns I'm not too worried about but the kick returns... I prefer that our rookie kicker puts that ball out of the endzone.

Lastly the Dallas run game was far scarier to me than the Eagles run game because of the back. This looks like a win for us to me but I agree it'll be tough.

Dont disagree with a lot of what you said but Rapp isnt good in coverage and vs their TEs it's still an advantage for them big time. And dont think Doug Peterson wont be scheming to get those TEs against our LBs because he will. Miles Sanders is no joke but of course hes no Zeke. But they have a far better OC and DC than Dallas. We out schemed Dallas on both sides by a lot, that wont be the case in this game.

I think our secondary matches up very well with Raegor and Djax though I think they'll make some plays, an INT or two would be huge in this game. I dont expect much out of our OLBs to be honest, they didnt play well last game and Lane Johnson will be better than whoever he's lined up against. Wentz is a lot better to me than Dak IMO so I expect him to have a bounce back game. On offense we better run the ball and run it well, because Slay will be matched on Woods, and NRC will be matched on Kupp in the slot. That is two very tough corners. Their defense overall is very good and Cox will give our interior OL trouble, count on that.

IMO we must play a lot better than we did vs Dallas to pull this one out, and we're very capable. It would be huge to start 2-0 vs the top 2 NFC east teams. We need to get pressure on Wentz and I think we will, but I think this comes down to us offensively and how many points we can score vs their defense. Schwartz has always given McVay and Goff issues and if the scheme we run is the same "protect the OL" short passing, roll out, 5 yard dink and dunk stuff I just dont think we'll outscore them. I sure hope McVay opens it up this weekend and doubles Cox inside, and we should be okay.

I think Rapp is pretty good in man coverage. He really surprised me there. Where he struggled last season was in zone, and in breaking on the ball when it was in the air. This is why they drafted 2x safeties who had good film of playing over the top.

Philly's TEs aren't all that. I think Higbee is better than both their TEs. And I think Rapp can cover either of them just fine as long as he's manned up.

Isn’t Zach Ertz one of the best TEs in the league? And Dallas Goedert is really good as well.

I wrote that Johnson was going to LT and Peters to RG earlier in the week in the injury thread. That came from sports local sports radio. In Pederson's presser yesterday he said they would keep Peters at LT and Jonson at his RT spot.

Nate Herbig 330Lbs second year free agent is the RG with first start last week. Isaac Seumalo is at LG. Both are going to have trouble with AD.

Originally selected by Philadelphia in the third round (79th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft, Isaac Seumalo signed a three-year extension during the 2019 offseason. A versatile offensive lineman out of Oregon State, Seumalo has made starts at three different spots (LG, RG, and RT) during his first four NFL seasons and also started every game during the 2019 season.

I guess i'm not as concerned about our D this week. Offenses today are too good to lockdown consistently. Good D's get run on, get burned in the secondary etc. Our D will be good enough to win the games IMO. We've got the best game wrecker in the league and an elite corner along with a deep secondary.

My focus all year will be on McV's offense and where it's going. Will he force his stuff every week or adapt weekly? Good show last week taking away Dallas' pass rush, but it's still all window dressing running the same stuff and relying on overpursuit.

I'm not complaining, i'd just like to see our O remain diverse and occasionally use our elite skill position guys to deliberately attack a bad one-on-one matchup. Spreading the ball is great and that's what we do but if we're facing a bad defensive back(for example) , pick on him all day with Kupp until the other team is bleeding out of their eyes.

Anyway, i'm anxious to see what McV brings each week this year after the stale bread we ran out there in '19.

Rams offense easily containable.
With Lane and Sanders back, spirits will soar. over 400 yards passing for Wentz.

Rams put up a 40 burger on this Eagles team.
We score two touchdowns late...after they are resting their starters.

I want to see #FreeGoff this week. He barely took any shots downfield. Hope he gets greenlighted this week.

I also see at least 10 designed roll outs starting with our 2nd drive. Anything to keep Cox and Jackson away from Goff.

I didn't see the game but the football team in Washington had 36 rushes vs the Eagles D last week and mustered 2.2 ypc for 80 total yds. Ouch.
McV is going to have to get creative.
Great point @Mojo Ram , This has to be the battle that the team who ends up with the edge has a huge advantage. I don't like the dropback and throw 50+ times to win formula.

Gonna come down to who controls the LOS. Malik Jackson and Fletcher Cox lining up over Noteboom and Blythe scare the shit out of me.

Agreed. Jackson looked pretty good in game one. OL needs to get 'er done.

So many Eagles fans want to trade Wentz. I'm sorry, but I love their tears.

Just occurred to me .. goff has played the two QBs taken after him that people proclaimed that were better him and beat them one after the other ... safe to say who the best QB from that draft is I reckon
