I think people are getting overly triggered for some reason. Talking about the Super Bowl halftime show is still about football. When the NFL injects politics into the sport (kneeling being widely accepted" then one should expect to be able to talk about it. Its not like discussing political candidates or whether you're conservative or liberal, we're just talking about what's happening in the game. Maybe some sensitive people should just turn away completely if it hurts their feelings so bad.

People can kneel if they want...... Most people are sitting on their fat asses in the living room when the National Anthem is played on TV before a sporting's event anyhow.... or not even paying attention at all.

I would hope some would just mind their own fucking business.... live and let live.

Yeah, well except for this;

Agreed, but the Halftime show and criticism thereof isnt political at all.
People are getting far too out of hand about this stuff.
Just because somebody wants to call it political, doesnt make it political.

Why? You seem to fucking care about everybody else's business. You are definitely the most controversial poster here lately. This just screams "troll". If it wasn't so much fun fucking with you your comments would be worthless and I love when people expose themselves as morons. But keep digging, you'll find the bottom soon.

I'm trying to think when I inquired and posted about your personal life and or beliefs  ...... Well if I did and it was offensive I'm sorry in advance.

But if this more about my opinions on the draft and why I believe the Rams didn't make it to the Super Bowl, and if that offends you...... well that's just tough shit..... Maybe just look the other way.

I have no confidence that Adams will have the kind of year this year as last. WRs can fall off a cliff in a hurry. He also could get more pulls and tears as older players do.

Mumpfield has potential as a complete WR. Whittington to me is what he is. He doesn't look like a crisp route runner. He just is used as an underneath guy, gimmick guy. He will never be a down the field threat.

A guy like Lemon can solve two needs. A 2nd big play WR and a big play offensive player in general. And he can be a big time return threat for special teams.
Lemon is not the big outside the hash weapon I want the Rams to get in this class, but I have to admit he's a legit impact weapon in the slot. If he's there at 13 then McVay will probably sprint to the podium, because he's polished and smooth and explosive. Also the difference in a guy like Mumps or Whittington to Lemon is a gulf. Neither of them will ever be what Lemon will be in the NFL.

But the problem here is I think Puka's best role is in the slot in this offense. He's got the size and strength you want there, those mini-TE traits that Kupp also showed which allowed him to excel under McVay. Last season his slot usage jumped, now granted I didn't count his slot snaps but he was in there significantly more than in '24. So I think the slot is his future in this offense.

Lemon's big enough to play any of the three wideout spots. But the bigger weapon to complement Nacua in the slot feels like it makes for a stronger offense. Also it favors better maximizing of what Stafford brings. I mean imagine a real rangy X type with great hands late in games with 9 throwing it to them. And what that does to help the redzone as well, which is the key to modern offenses, to finish drives vs settle for field goals.

To me the ideal '26 pass game weapons would look something like this:

Wideout
-Big-Ass-Rookie (Let's say it's Boston, so 6'4")
-Adams (6')

Slot
-Nacua (6'2")

TE
-Ferguson (6'5")

That's a dangerous lineup of big weapons for Stafford. More potency in the redzone. More potency in 4 minute.

Draft alternatives at Big-Ass-Rookie would be Tate (6'3"), Tyson (6'2") early on, or numerous options later of which Lane's my favorite. Also a note re: Tyson is I love his film, but his injury history worries me. It's why I'd favor Boston.

Vet alternative at Big-Ass-Rookie would be Evans (6'5") in FA.

We don't know whether Ferguson is going to emerge in year two. He was very close to making some big plays for us last season, but had some bad luck in those moments when they came. So for me the question is can he position himself to get more of those moments. He'll need to improve, but if not then both Parkinson and Allen and the TE group in general offers big hands that can sit down in zones for Stafford. So I think TE as a room is good as it is for this offseason.

One last area the Rams could juice the pass game is at RB. But I think the only way that happens is if things line up for the Rams where they have to take the RB value in the draft. I don't think they will target the RB room for improvement, as they have enough fish to fry at other positions and their backs are not only good but two deep. What that would look like is Love falling to 13. Or Coleman or Johnson sitting on the board longer than expected, where they say fuck it we need to take this dude.

That show was straight fucking stupid. ED is correct. The NFL is just trying to be cultural edgelords by making a big political statement when most people don't really give a flying fuck about halftime shows anyway.

Halftime shows have been garbage for years. Saying Bad Bunny's show was worse than usual is not political. It's not racist. It's just the NFL being stupid. Fans just as per usual ignore the show and use halftime to do whatever else. Like stuff our faces or chase the wife around the dinner table. "Come 'ere little lady I'm feelin romantic from that twelvepack wooooo!"

I for one found the halftime show to be great like all previous half time shows.

ED is entitled to his own opinion.... But it appears he watched it, so.............

Of course you thought it was great, wouldn't expect anything less from you. Watched the Kid Rock alternate halftime show. Fucking great! I for one am fucking tired of all the JayZ handpicked halftime performers. Its not political, just the same top 40 rehash shit every damn year.

Yeah, Boston probably fits better, but Lemon is a baller and would make an impact. I wouldn't mind either one.

I wouldn't mind Lemon and a guy like Hurst, a 6-3 outside threat. Have a complete WR room, and be able to guard against injuries to Puka or Tae.

You don't have justify to me why you like or dislike something, or whatever content is allowed / shown on your parents TV set..... Whatever floats your beanie.

Yeah there's so many ways they could go with WR. Though personally I would only reserve one of those 4 picks in the top 100 for WR. So I'd either take it at 13 then go heavy defense. Or I'd go defense at the top then get one of the bigger project types in round 3 range.

Round 1 my target is Boston. I think he's gonna run well for his size and it won't be a reach there at 13. But if they go with someone else that's fine. I'd just have reservations with Tyson due to the ACL. Film alone he's my favorite wideout at the top but I don't want a player who already had ACL surgery. I prefer a clean medical sheet at 13.

Round 3 my target is Lane. He's my favorite receiver on that roster. That kid has catches most of the other receivers simply cannot make. I think he's going to mature in the NFL and go on to a massive career. Would love to see Stafford break him in.

A big, fast Wide- out would be nice but not imperative. I would also love an Ike or Torry Holt clone.

This shit has already gotten political. There's already been back-and-forth, and back-and-forth on politics has never been allowed and has driven otherwise good posters away from this site or gotten otherwise good posters banned. You have been here long enough and have seen enough posters leave/get banned because of politics to know that.

I come to this site to express my feelings on football, period. I don't come for petty bullshit political left/right/independent/libertarian/what-fucking-ever-you-might-be bickering on either side, and this has already derailed this thread.

Believe me, I am praying that this post and the prior post of mine on this thread get deleted - because that will mean that the mods are going to do a clean sweep of this thread to get it back on track and stop the fucking political back and forth. I trust them with that. I trust them with enforcing the site rules. You can get away with a lot here. You can derail threads here. But political and religious bullshit arguing are some of the rare things that won't be - and shouldn't be - acceptable.

You can call me sensitive all you want; I really don't give a flying fuck what you think of me. I'm just truly sick of this political shit by everyone who has gotten involved. I get enough of it from my real-life family; I don't want or need it here.

It’s always been about top 40. You’re just getting older and like me not digging what all the kids are digging. U2, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones are no longer current.
News flash: Kid Rock lip synching his 2 hits ain’t current either.

Still you're over-sensationalizing folks talking about the damn halftime show. For Christ's sake lighten up.
