I am certain this defense is capable of great improvement no question about that. There is so much talent available.

One upgrade improvement Wade might look at is getting Suh moved outside more often. Both his sacks (thus far) have come when Suh was moved from the NT post & placed on the outside right side of the DL. Brockers lines up in Suh NT post.

One positive large improvement in this 2018 D from the 2017 is the center middle run defense. So not all is bad here.

I forgot to mention that about Suh, I've noticed that he's just too much of a handful on the outside - good call

As I continue to :yay:for joy & my brain is :dizzy:from last nights great perfrommance by this Ram offense....

I still a have a  feeling about last nights perfromance by the Rams defense. Disdisapointing is what I have to say here. I was frustrated & baffled by what I was seeing.

I know we had 1 new ex all pro CB, few replacements (Longacre/Wilosn) & 1 damaged all pro CB playing in Wade Defense last night but it seems to me they should be far better than what we saw last night. Guess I am expecting too much?

Tackling was poor. How many hits did we see when we did tackle? Best tackle was the throw down by AD of Kirk. Our Franchized 2018 defensive player deep safety Lamarcus Joyner continues to be late on each & every play or worse nowhere in site for any pass play, not what we saw from him last season.

There is much to be improved here. The last series of the game when the Defense woke up is what we should have seen from the start. This Rams defense is full of talented prime aged seasoned players.

ST's was the weakest I have seen in a long long time...Our punter was average. Our Kicker failed, & without Cooper & Jo Jo our all returns are so plain, dull safety contolled plays. Wow how things have changed from 2017.

I know what you're saying, but I also think that the Vikings WRs are the second best unit in the league, and Cousins was throwing a pretty rock too.

I agree, Ido think the D needs to grow, I'm seeing improvements every week, I think the same was last year, we improved as the year went on

I learned that this 2018 Rams squad might end up being one of the all time memorable NFL teams to ever step on a professional football field.

It's exciting isn't it, these WRs with Gurley and Goff are a thing of beauty to behold and THATS all down to the hunks of beef on the O-line which are playing out of their skins!!

Rams offense matched a quick starting Vikings offense and got the lead. The Rams could have fallen behind like the Vikings did and had to fight an uphill battle. Given time Goff can pick defenses apart.

Could have created turnovers early. Went after the QB when they should have gone after the running back early on. The defense allowed runs outside but stuffed the middle. When they give QBs time they will let up completions and first downs. Stepped up when they had to. Still need more pass rush.

Special Teams need JZ back. Hekker needs to practice.

I would say that was by design my good man. Rams are extremely thin at KR/PR and certainly don't want to lose Kupp to an injury

Ha. Good one.

On an unrelated note. JFM impressed me at the end of the game, not just return the strip sack (I think, I may be remembering incorrectly) but with some other near sacks/QB hits. Again if I'm remembering correctly, he looked good getting some good bend around the LT and making it home a step too late. Those hits add up.

I learned that a receiver can set a pick for another receiver in the end zone to completely get rid of the CB.

What I learned is that Whit is downright disrespectful to other grown men.

Those men got families...to treat them like that...

HAHAHA!!!!

I saw that clip and I couldn’t stop laughing!

It was like a older brother slamming someone into his little brother and the saying, “what? I didn’t touch him!”

Just fantastic stuff!

I already knew that the Rams had extremely talented players on O almost without exception.

What I learned?

I learned how lethal was McVay’s craftily taking advantage of opponents tendencies and weaknesses. What the Rams did to Barr via scheming, for example, was eye opening.

I learned that Jared Goff is now the first quarterback in league history to pass for at least 350 yards and complete at least 75 percent of his passes in three consecutive games

Offense - going to be a different stand out each game.

Defense-needs Barron

Special Teams- Other teams will need to spend valuable practice time making sure the Rams don't block thier kicks. That danger is real.

Shields could have had 2 interceptions in that game. The one where the ball was batted down at the line of scrimmage and the one where Robinson scored. Shields was closing in for the interception and just as he was about to swoop in to catch it he ran into Rudolph, who was standing in the way. Then for some reason he has a flag thrown on him for pass interference. Do these refs have fucking eyes the bozos?
