Yeah....Isn't that special.."We sucked so bad and still almost won.." and "No way Foles lead a comeback"...umm..Foles led a comeback to beat the Seahawks, and no mention about what Gurley did when the stakes were the highest. Gurley and Austin combo is a Rams offense game changer TOGETHER.

I agree 100%
We got flat out played.

No excuses, they brought the pressure and energy and our players could not match it. Instead the Cards could not get in sinc To execute properly.
Simple as that.

The funny thing is that Cardinals didnt come out flat, play sloppy or look unprepared.

Despite what their fans want to believe, we just outplayed them.

A damn good game. Damn good.

I think they played as well as could be expected. Feasting on lesser teams and not getting that the Rams are emerging as a powerhouse cost the fans.

Yea. I'd stay away from the board. Read it after the game and a lot of them were claiming the refs fixed the game for the Rams. Can't blame them as I get pretty ticked at the refs when they make bad calls and we lose...but the refs were equally bad to the Rams today as they were to the Cardinals...even considering that Arizona should have gotten that fumble.
It is just as bad when Ram fans claim the same on this board in my opinion.
It was a good game and both teams showed heart and residency. Rams D set the tone early on.
But, Cunningham clearly fumbled, Cardinals got screwed on that one. But, we certainly have had our share of that. It equals out.

In this game, it did to an extent. In the past, it hasn't. There have been games where griping about the refs was legitimate.

Did bc really fumble? Watching live i thought he started moving backwards before the ball came out but they never showed a replay from the side view again.

I didn't mean equal out in this game....I just mean over the course of a season or against the backdrop of eternity ect.

I was bitching about Cunningham all game....bad kick returns, leaving yards on the field....then, he picked up the blitz and made a good block that allowed Foles to hit Austin for the TD to extend the lead. Great play.
There is more than one way to contribute.

I lost a little respect for both of those guys.
Just gave the Rams ZERO credit.....none.........

Dude, watching him throw his players under the bus like a little toddler tantrum...made me appreciate Fisher and Foles so much more. He just embarrassed himself and his players by not acknowledging that we beat them with talent and effort and they were in it to the end.

Fitz is all class. Love that dude. He should be a coach one day. Sharp and humble and kicks ass.

"from 20 to 20 we moved the football we just bogged down in the redzone." It AMAZES me that teams just can't grasp that it's intentional. I hope to god, all season, teams keep thinking they are good because they get yards and forget there are no points for yards. I LOVE that the Rams D is overlooked in the rankings because they give up yards and not points. LOVE it. Makes everyone underestimate them.

We just played a thoroughly mediocre team at home and lost.

No, you assumed we were mediocre and lost. Keep assuming, we love it!

It's a bitter pill to swallow and now I know how Seattle feels.

Yes you do. Yes you do. Wait till you come here! THAT will be bitter!

Bad thing is all we talked about was dominating the rams. Yea right. The cards are the one getting dominated.

Here's a fan who is realistic and realises they played well, just not well enough to beat the emerging Rams.

Double blow as it gives the Rams new life in the division.

It doesn't GIVE us anything, we TOOK the 2 best teams in the division and you ain't seen nothin' yet!

After last week, I thought we would at least be able to keep down the mediocre QBs of the league, but we got worked today despite being rested.

YES! I LOVE opposing fans that think Foles, who has set NFL records the almost retired Palmer couldn't dream of, is mediocre.

Foles was just on. He threw 2 perfectly thrown TD passes that had excellent coverage. Sometimes it's just not your day. He probably won't throw 2 better passes all year.

I bet he does asshat. I bet that was just a flash of what he can do when slightly protected. He isn't the holder of the best pass to INT ratio in NFL history for nothing.

There's no doubt that Cards are the better team.

No, actually, there IS doubt, just not among uninformed Cards fans. You are aware you lost in your own house, right?

3 times in the redzone on what like 4 yard line average and they couldn't score a TD??

Yes. The best redzone D in the NFL. Did I not mention that before the ban?

No way Foles can lead his team to a comeback win.

The Cards offense was not intimidated, those dudes were pressing hard all through the game and moving up and down the effing field almost at will. Their lack of TDs in the redzone was the story of the game because it bought time for the Rams to get enough offense together.

And this is what we will see all season. Rams are not trying to stop the dink and dunk and short runs between the 20s. They LET the small stuff. Why? I asked the same thing many times in my head. I've has many of my personalities screaming at each other.

I now have a working theory:

When the Rams defend against the long game, they make teams throw and run over and over and over. This multitude of plays creates turnover opportunities. Every play has risk, the more the better, then shut them down in the redzone. TOs and low scoring makes the Rams offense happy.

I haven't lost any respect for Arians or the Cards after watching that game. The opposite actually... They're a very complete team and over the course of 16 games I still think they'll win more games than our Rams because they're more consistent.

Man, you had me going. They are good. I LOVE them and hope they squat and shit on the Niners and Hawks. Win more games? I don't think you see that the Rams were inconsistent without a QB and, this season, without a line, WR1, RB1 and RB2. Gurley and Austin are going to have MONSTER games, IMHO, and the Rams will be in every game. Except Wash. That was the outlier.

Tomorrow is time for the Team to put some Fear into the Rams. So tired of the overblown Rams media hype. Oooo they beat Seattle at St. Louis to start the season therefore they just Must be the superior Team in the NFC West.

This would be so much better if we could match up the before and after comments for maximum beat down.

The Rams are simply a better team in the division, as they showed against Seattle in the season opener. --Gregg Rosenthal"

My new favorite prognosticator.

I like the comment that was made how a good reason the national outlook on our first three opponents, to paraphrase, is that they were somewhat weak, but to counter that myopic view is that we are the reason they're viewed that way!

Until you realise they have 1 win among them, and then reality sets in. They sucked and the Cards didn't make them suck.

The hype of the Rams D-line might just be because of its novelty in today's NFL.

Or because it's so damn badass. One or the other, you choose.

And it's not like it was an embarrassing loss. I think we out gained them by 100 yards. And that's with -3 in TOs.

Again, this is what we will hear all season because they just refuse to grasp we don't care about yards, we care about points and TOs.

The Cardinals gave up a ton of yards to Todd Gurley, but almost all of them came on a handful of carries, when the defensive players lost discipline.

Poor poor Cardinals. They lost discipline against a RB that will destroy you. It's not you, it's me, I just need some space.

In the end, the Cardinals had plays to make, but they didn't make them. They outgained the Rams. They had the ball longer. But they turned the ball over, didn't create turnovers and were 2/11 on third down.

Yes, just as the Rams planned. Is it still a mystery to you?

I agree 100%
We got flat out played.

An informed fan says his piece. Good on you.

The Cards players were force fed a huge meal of some nasty tasting humble pie at home, in front of their fans.
I hope they never ever want to let that happen again.

Another.

eVEN Though the stats won’t bear this out, this line was built for running and we ran the ball better today that at any point this year.

Yes, I believe that could be true. Did they score?

In the second half Nick Foles + Todd Gurley beat Carson Palmer rushing his throws even when pressure wasn’t there because he was simply too unsettled by the end of the game.

"Unsettled" in football speak means complete panic mode hoping he survives the game.

The game plan was on point, unfortunately the players bought into their own hype, in fairness to them though it’s been a loooong time and it was pretty epic pummeling Frisco the way they did. Hopefully this game brought them back to earth.

Let's hop it did and let's hope you change Cardinals hype to Rams underappreciated before it's too late. Or don't.

The refs let them HOLD FREAKIN AARON DONALD SO BLATANTLY I WAS SCREAMING AND MY WIFE THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK. They held him with FULL BEAR HUGS . Wait till you re-watch it in slo-mo tomorrow and count how many times we got a flag? I laughed when they FINALLY threw ONE stinkin flag for holding Quinn. The announcer was a cardinals fan since childhood the way he called the game. Had to turn sound off. WE would of had 3 times the sacks.Iupati SUCS ON ICE . So glad we passed on him for cheap growin youth with longterm playing time. Screw that one quick whistle as we had one on a Gurley run earlier we could'nt challenge either.

I didn't get to see the game, but I heard it. The first half sounded terrible for our offense, almost wanting me to ask the NFL if we can trade our whole offense for fifteen minute rest periods to keep our defense fresh. But then Gurley became a beast.

This is just not accurate. NO ONE said he didn't fumble. Not the Refs, not the Rams, not Cunningham...he had been blown dead for forward progress before the fumble. Blown dead. It screws us when a player makes a second effort and helped us here, but there was NO error, that's what happened.

Cardinals DID get screwed on an out of bounds late hit. That WAS a missed call. So what? We had 2,345 uncalled holds on our D line.

Then you heard wrong. What you heard was Cook dropping the ball and a damn good Cardinals defense.

It saddens me that they will never hear my opines. They ban the fan that won't be bullied and run from here on the first TO for a TD. Sad really. They still believe this was their game to lose. Oh well, we get another educational opportunity with them live and in person. I only wish @Ramhusker would be here to deliver it. I swear to god...they would know his name.

I will buy your game ticket and first 10 beers Husker.

It was a missed call. There was no whistle. Unless you can't hear it on the broadcast which is possible. The refs blew that one.
Fine with me.
Have to give some props to Havenstein for coming up with recovery on Gurleys fumble. Easy to forget that play but that was a big play.
