Well, I had this bet with Rich Eisen. "I bet I can make you go insane over the Rams @ Jets."Last year we lost to a winless Jets team. The Cards squeaked out a win against the Jags. The only thing that matters is that every week you have to bring it. I'm impressed how few mental lapses the Rams had against the Bucs but I doubt that narrow focus is sustainable. The refs actually helped us for a change (though is still can't get over AD not drawing holding calls). Our tackling better improve or Murray can run for 150 himself. Will our OLB's contain? Can Gay remain perfect? Will we always recover fumbles and expect the opponents to drop interceptions? Adversity is coming...how will they handle it?
With all that said, I expect a dominant performance this week. This is an opportunity to see if the Rams have true championship mettle. But even the 99 team dropped consecutive games against the Titans and Lions so this one game will not ultimately define them.
I won.
