I'm more worried about this game than I was the Tampa game. We can't afford to lose to a team in our division and let them go undefeated. They have definitely improved, but so have we. Stafford should be the difference in this game. He's playing at an elite level, and their QB is still young. Also, our opponents have been much tougher so far. We just beat the champs, and two playoff teams from last year. I'm just hoping we didn't blow our load last week.
It's in SoFi...If the Rams can't get it up in that crowd vs the Cards, we might as well hang it up.

Apparently, we are just a second rate offense as compared to the Cardinals, per the Locked on Cardinals Podcast. They also say Murray is better than Stafford and the overall depth of the 53 man roster is deeper than is the Rams roster..... Listen and get pizzed. What's up with your boys, @DVontel ?

I expect a close game. Both teams can score points. The Rams defense makes a few more stops than the Cardinals defense.

Well, If you're asking if I'd rather have the Rams Roster or the Cardinals Roster? Rams all day and it's really not close. Sure AZ has some good to great players, but they also have a lot of below average players as well. Not that the Rams don't have themselves some average players but the number is far less. I also think the Rams just match up very well against the Cards and Hawks, much like the 9ers match up well against us. We'll see tho, it's a new year and anything can happen. I think if we play a sound game any team would have a very hard time beating us right now. I just want to stay healthy, that will be the key to a path to the Super Bowl.
Yeah it's funny how that often works. I remember in the late 80's the NFC East was like that. The Redskins always beat the Eagles, the Eagles always beat the Giants, and the Giants always beat the Redskins, and they all beat up the Cowboys. (Pre Jimmy Johnson & first two yrs JJ)

My guess is they're comparing the skill positions on paper, determining that Hopkins, AJ Green, their other receivers are better than Woods, Kupp, Van Jefferson and DJax. Obviously Hopkins is still one of the best receivers in the league, but that's probably the only edge I would give them within that group. Kupp has been outperforming Hopkins at this time as well.

Then they're getting excited over Murray with a ton of yards and a high completion percentage (both higher than Stafford), but obviously Stafford has done a lot of other things better, more TD's, less INT, higher YPA (barely, but technically), fewer sacks, etc etc. Stafford is the better QB, but I don't think Murray is a slouch so I get why they're excited about him play this year.

Running back room is probably a push. O-Line likely goes to the Rams, same with TE's.

Defence obviously goes to the Rams.

They'll probably be a little disappointed after Sunday. Similar to the Bucs beat writer who went on the RamsUK podcast, the Rams hosts gave their take, talked about how the game could go either way due to the Bucs skill, and the Bucs beat writer basically just said the Rams were outmatched at every group. Didn't turn out too well for them either.

If Goff was good for 30 against the Cardinals, I think Stafford can put up 40.

This feels about right to me. Hopkins is elite, so give that to the Cards but Kupp is not far off and our depth is stronger.

Murray is a good player. I don’t know where I’d rank him, but he’s a good starter. I think we are built to play him well, and history backs that up.

They have a good defense. So do we, obviously.

I am a little surprised Jacksonville took it to them last week. Until the pick-6 they were right there. Not sure what to make of that.

The Vikings really should have beat them. With a shaky performance well into the Jacksonville game... they haven’t exactly been dominating in going 3-0.

But you can see they are a good team.

It’s going to be fun!

3-0 vs 3-0

Rams beat the Bears, Colts and Bucs
Arizona beat Tennessee, Minnesota and Jacksonville

Cardinals have 1,005 passing yards (#3) with 7 TDs and 4 Ints (1 a pick 6)
Rams have 942 passing yards (#5) with 9 TDs and 1 Int

Cardinals have 330 rushing yards (#10) with 5 TDs
Rams have 251 rushing yards (#27) with 2 TDs

Cardinals have allowed 606 passing yards (#8) with 5 TDs (and a pick 6)
Rams have allowed 844 passing yards (#25) with 2 TDs

Cardinals have allowed 422 rushing yards (#29) with 2 TDs
Rams have allowed 278 rushing yards (#11) with 4 TDs

Cardinals offense have scored 96 points
Rams offense has scored 95 points

Cardinals defense have allowed 51 points
Rams defense has allowed 62 points

I can see why Cardinal fans are excited, looking at the numbers and watching them win 3 to start the season. I can see why they expect to come to Sofi and leave with a win. Murray is a talented, exciting player with a lot of weapons. Their defense is playing well. They have a chip on their shoulder losing 8 straight to the Rams. They probably want to beat the Rams more than any other team in the NFL. We'll see what happens

McVay won’t let us lose this game. And as impressive as Murray has been, he’s a bit of a turnover machine with already throwing 4 picks this year. They should also be 2-1 anyway. They need to prove they can compete with us before I get worried.

I have always thought the next two games were really more important than the Bucs game.

B4 they can start talking home field throughout the playoffs they have to win the division first, which is not an easy feat. A healthy Ram's team has the talent to win the west, but they need to start by beating the Cards (while still mostly healthy). A loss is not the end of the world but it will put the Rams behind in the division and then they have Seattle up next week which is never an easy out. These next two weeks may go a long way in determining the Rams final standing within the division.

these next two games are what could be determining factor games... very important...

Last year we lost to a winless Jets team. The Cards squeaked out a win against the Jags. The only thing that matters is that every week you have to bring it. I'm impressed how few mental lapses the Rams had against the Bucs but I doubt that narrow focus is sustainable. The refs actually helped us for a change (though is still can't get over AD not drawing holding calls). Our tackling better improve or Murray can run for 150 himself. Will our OLB's contain? Can Gay remain perfect? Will we always recover fumbles and expect the opponents to drop interceptions? Adversity is coming...how will they handle it?

With all that said, I expect a dominant performance this week. This is an opportunity to see if the Rams have true championship mettle. But even the 99 team dropped consecutive games against the Titans and Lions so this one game will not ultimately define them.
