Let's kick this thread off early. Behold the legend of the "unstoppable" Jimmy Garoppolo and the butt-kissing and slobbering of 49ers fans as well as many others around the league. Now the stench of Brady, Belichick and the Patriots has come to the NFC West.
Try not to projectile vomit uke: while reading these comments. Can't wait to see them all come unglued next Sunday in LA when their hero bites the dust. :yess:

Carlos Hyde: We’ll win the Super Bowl next year

The 49ers won for the fourth time in as many weeks by beating the Jaguars on Sunday and that Jimmy Garoppolo-fueled change of fortunes after a 1-10 start has people thinking big about the future.
Running back Carlos Hyde believes that the team’s run is just getting started. Hyde is set for free agency this offseason and said after Sunday’s game that he wants to stay put so he can be part of what’s going to happen in 2018.
“Minus our record, we’re a really good football team. Next year we’re going to win the Super Bowl,” Hyde said, via Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group.
Differences from year to year can be stark in the NFL, but the 49ers are as good a bet as any to continue getting better. General Manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan made major changes to the roster before trading for Garoppolo and now they’ll have a chance to finish retooling the roster with the quarterback in place.
-------------
People are going to hate and rightfully so. But the Niners lost 5 games by 3 points or less. Flip that and it’s 10-5. Put Jimmy G in the lineup during those days and it could be even better. I’m not going to play the coulda woulda but it’s not as far fetched as it sounds. Idk about the Superbowl but the playoffs next year is definitely doable.
----------
Jimmy is playing lights out, they will add some talent and definetly contest next year for the NFCw!
---------
Jimmy “Franchise” is going to have to school Hyde on the Bill Belichick philosophy.
“When you lose say little. When you win say less.”
---------
Don’t know about winning the SB, but SF will now have a luxury that they didn’t have before. They will be able to concentrate on putting additional talent around an apparent franchise QB, and not have to look for a franchise QB in the draft or FA.
---------
WHat happened to ‘we’re on to Los Angeles’?
---------
Team has a talent. They should because they have draft in the top half most years. But they have lacked a QB.
Garoppalo looks very good for a guy with little experience. He is accurate, has a good arm but most importantly makes good decisions under pressure.
---------
The 49ers will be an even better team next season, when guys on IR are returning to the team. They also draft reasonably high so they are going to add more talent via the draft. They also have a lot of salary cap space, and so they can add free agents to areas of need.

Man, what a leader on the sideline. He's trained and learned well by sitting behind Tom Brady, the commands he gave and the tips he gave to the receivers before the drill. He's the real deal, 49ers got a steal for what they gave up to get him.
---------
Jimmy G is like Tom Brady.
---------
He learned so much, wow..... amazing. He's the perfect mold of a QB. Has the tangibles. Reads the D so well and guides
---------
It's scary what we can do in the draft and free agency here we come let's go 49ers Dilly Dilly
----------
he's going to change the entire NFC
---------
Sounds damn near identical to Brady
---------
This is how Jimmy G is better then Tom Brady. 1. can run out of the pocket 2. Taller then Tom Brady 3. Has more accuracy then Tom brady had in his first 2 seasons 4. He is strong 5. Has better teammates
----------
His release is insane. Lightening quick...can barely track his arm.
---------
He's like a Tom Brady that moves more like Aaron Rodgers with a quick release close to Marino. 49ers gonna be a playoff team next season barring anything stupid.

The unstoppable Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy Garoppolo has been the best player in the NFL over the last month.
It was only a month ago that the 49ers were 1-10 and ranked 31st in everyone’s power rankings. Then they made Garoppolo their starting quarterback, and now they’re on a four-game winning streak. Has any player, ever, been responsible for that kind of turnaround, for a team suddenly turning from bad to good? Not that I’ve ever seen.
The Jaguars have the best defense in the NFL and entered yesterday having won seven of their last eight games, but they were no match for Garoppolo yesterday. He absolutely picked them apart, throwing for two touchdowns and running for another, in a 44-33 win.
Garoppolo was acquired for a second-round draft pick in a surprise deal just before the trade deadline, and that now looks like a bargain for the 49ers. The Patriots may have felt that they had to deal Garoppolo for whatever they can get because he was about to become a free agent and Tom Brady isn’t going anywhere, but there are some general managers kicking themselves right now for not offering a first-round pick for Jimmy G. How much better would the Cardinals look right now with Garoppolo under center?
It’s almost hard to describe now how awful the 49ers were before Garoppolo took over. Most power rankings had them 31st, saved from the very bottom of the league only by the Cleveland Browns. Over the last two seasons, the 49ers are 4-0 with Garoppolo as their starting quarterback and 3-24 with anyone other than Garoppolo as their starting quarterback.
The 49ers have the longest active winning streak in the NFL right now, at four games. I’ve always thought it would be fun if the league had a rule that the team with the longest winning streak when the season ends gets an automatic playoff berth, even with a losing record overall.
That would be the 49ers this year, if they win next week, and the rest of the NFL is lucky that’s not the rule. With Jimmy G leading the charge, the 49ers would be a tough team to beat in the playoffs. Instead, they’ll be a tough team to beat in 2018 and beyond.
---------
Pats are going to really regret trading Garoppolo. Great poise, reminds me of Rodgers & he is going to only get better.
---------
No wonder Bellichick held on to him for so long.
---------
If the Cardinals can find themselves a competent QB and the Seahawks can get their offensive line in order, then the NFC West could turn into a murderers row for the unlucky AFC and NFC divisions who find them on their schedule.
---------
I can’t compare Jimmy “Franchise” and Kyle to Harbaugh and Kap yet, because any true 49er fan knows they did some pretty amazing things here, but I’m telling you; I can finally move on from the Harbaugh/Kap era and into the bright new Kyle/Jimmy era. This is looking like the 2nd coming of Bill Walsh and Montana….mixed with a little Mike Shanahan and Steve Young.
The way they came out and beat the Jags to the punch and went up 16-0 quickly was very Bill Walsh, Mike Shanahan, and Bill Belichick like. Against the #1 defense. It’s amazing to watch Kyle Shanahan tilt the field in the 49ers favor on gameday with ads and Os and Jimmy G making Kyle’s play diagrams dance on the field, Robert Saleh’s defense complimenting the offense, and everybody making plays. This is golden age 49er football.
Steve Young always said for the 49ers to return to greatness they have to find a way to put Bill Walsh(the Bill Walsh Way) back in the building. I think through Kyle he’s back in the building.
----------
Jimmy G has givens loads of credit for his tutelage under Brady and anyone with clear vision already knows the value of Brady in Jimmy’s play.
---------
Niners will have serious run for the SB next year and beyond. Who knows? Maybe JimmyG could be the one to win more SB than Brady. He sure looks like a winner.
It’s exciting what Niners will be once they fill up their rank with some really good players. JimmyG sure is a heck of a better QB than Kap. Imagine the Pats and Niners in the SB. Something to look forward too.

Winner: Jimmy Garoppolo
Garoppolo was already the first QB to start his career with wins in his first five starts since Ben Roethlisberger in 2004. But that streak seemed likely to end Sunday against Jacksonville. The AFC South champion Jaguars—sheesh, that’s fun and weird to say—had the best defense in the NFL in most categories before Sunday: fewest points allowed (209), fewest yards per play allowed (4.6), most sacks (51). They were also second in interceptions (20) and allowed the third-fewest passing touchdowns (14).
Jimmy GQ freakin’ torched them. The 49ers, who averaged just 17 points per game before Garoppolo took over, became the first team to crack 40 against the Jags in a 44-33 win. Garoppolo went 21-for-30 for 242 yards with two touchdowns and an interception while taking just one sack. LOOK AT THIS DUDE:

The question is no longer whether Jimmy Garoppolo is the greatest quarterback in the NFL. Now that he’s started four games for the 49ers and won all four for a team that started the season 0-9, the question is whether Jimmy Garoppolo is the greatest quarterback in NFL history, or perhaps the greatest athlete in any sport’s history, or perhaps just the greatest person ever to live.

It’s Official: Jimmy GQ Isn’t Just Fun to Tweet About—He’s a Franchise Quarterback
San Francisco is now 4-0 since Jimmy Montana took over, and his win over the playoff-bound Jacksonville Jaguars is his most impressive feat yet
By Danny Heifetz

Nobody’s stock is going up faster in San Francisco than Jimmy Garoppolo’s.
Garoppolo, aka Jimmy GQ, aka Jimmy Montana, is officially the Bay’s bae after leading the 49ers to a 44-33 win over the Jaguars and their NFL-best defense on Christmas Eve. Garoppolo, who took over in San Francisco in Week 13 and is now 6-0 as a starter in his career with the Patriots and Niners, led the 49ers to their fourth-straight win after the team had gone 4-27 in their previous 31 games.
Less than two months after the 49ers sent a second-round pick to the Patriots for Tom Brady’s heir, the deal looks like a heist. The trade has sparked fierce debate among Ringer staffers, but the only thing everyone can agree on is that Garoppolo looks like a bona fide rockstar.
Across his first three starts as a 49er, Garoppolo averaged a line of 26 completions on 38 attempts (68.1 percent) and 336 yards. Jimmy GQ certainly looked the part in his three-year stint in New England, where he convinced many Patriots fans he was worth keeping, but his first three starts in San Francisco showed that he walked the walk and, in the most Brady-like fashion, could talk the talk.
As great as Garoppolo looked through three weeks, though, two of those three wins came against the lowly Bears and the Texans. This week’s contest against #Sacksonville represented the starkest challenge yet. The Jaguars entered Week 16 ranked first in sacks; second in fewest total yards; and first in defense and pass DVOA while giving up the fewest points, passing yards, and passing first downs.
They’ve basically been a wood chipper, but designed to shred quarterbacks. Yet Garoppolo promptly completed 21 of 30 attempts for 242 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against them, as San Francisco logged 44 points, tied for the most the Jaguars have allowed this season. Garoppolo is the only quarterback to log a 100+ passer rating against the Jags this year, with no other starting quarterback breaking 87.
Still, the numbers alone don’t do Garoppolo justice.
With Garoppolo, the 49ers look like they’ll be contenders in 2018, and it’s terrifying to think of what Kyle Shanahan will be able to scheme with Garoppolo and whatever weapons the team adds in the draft or free agency.
The 49ers will have to choose whether to sign him to a long-term deal or assign him the franchise tag, but that’s a dilemma the bulk of the league would love to face. The 49ers have a franchise quarterback, and with him they have a new era.

Jimmy Garoppolo is the Crash Bandicoot of the NFL! He's definitely the future of this franchise, and look out for the 2018 49ers too. The Seahawks are going down with hardly any cap space. The Rams on the rise peaking very early, and the 49ers are on the rise with a lot of cap space.

Jimmys a beast. He's the next Rodgers of you ask me. He has that same slick flick release and accuracy and really calm and poise in the pocket. Plus he's now in a system that will fit his talents and play style which will only improve his game even more plus he's got loads of experience with Tom Brady the Goat and he's been in that Winning environment and mindset like brady.
He got loads of practice on preparation for the playoffs AND super bowl with the pats and I'm sure he was involved in the Super Bowl game plan just in case Brady gets hurt. So I mean he's legit.
