Playing the Lions in Detroit would be fun with all the stories involved and QBs.
But call me crazy, I’d rather take on the 9ers WC weekend. All the pressure on them, their house, etc. - we lose, whatever nobody at all is expecting a win. Almost a shock we get into playoffs.
But if we did beat them, wow that would on an epic level of pain to them.
That would mean playing the 9ers two weeks in a row. If we lose week 18 but make the playoffs, I don’t think it’s good to play them right away without momentum. Let’s beat the eagles in divisional and then face them again in the NFCC, this time beating them at Levi stadium. Oh, that would be glorious!

I could see a scenario where the Rams go 9-8 and miss the postseason. I think the NFC South winner will be 8-9, so that would eliminate any of those teams. Seattle could go 9-8 or 8-9 but we have the tiebreaker there. Green Bay and Minnesota could both be 9-8. We'd lose out to GB. And even if we end up tied with Minnesota in both record and conference record, they hold the edge in common opponents. Gotta hope Minnesota goes 8-9.

I think Seattle loses the next two. But their final 3 games are winnable. Maybe the Pittsburgh game will be tough. But I would think they beat the Titans and Cardinals. So that Steelers game might be the deciding factor for them making the playoffs or not.

Minnesota's got a couple winnable games coming up. The Raiders and the Bengals without Joe Burrow. They do have two with the Lions. One with the Packers. But both the Packers and Vikings offenses are suspect. They can be shut down.

Whatever the case tomorrow is a game we have to win. Our opponent is starting an aging quarterback who hasn't played this year. And wasn't very good the past few years when he did play. Which wasn't much. 20 games in the previous 4 years. If he beats us then we aren't good enough to think playoffs anyway.

Totally agree. I could make an argument for winning against SF but dont see a way they take out Baltimore unless Lamar slips in the shower on game day or something
Why ? Is Lamar some invincible legend or something? Our defense contained his mini-me last weekend. Make him one dimensional. They lost Andrews. Their defense is really good but if we play to our ability and stay healthy I think we can pull it off. The main thing is McVay has to stick with a balanced approach and not let Stafford get roughed up
