I didn’t like where we gave Henderson his first carry.

Wasn’t it inside their 10yd line?

Number one, I don’t trust a rookie’s hands just yet relative to NFL contact... and two, it would have been nice for him to have a little more space (out at mid field) and a less obvious run down for the first one.

But that’s me second guessing because it didn’t work.
This occurred to me too.
Strange time to do it.

My 20 year old daughter agreed. She thought it was a really unnecessary risk as did I.

I actually thought it was a good call - 1st down, 5 yds to the goal line, late in the game, & we have the lead - if he didn't make it we have 2 more chances to punch it in. 3rd & goal would've been a bad spot. Even any other time would've been riskier - 1st & 10 from the Rams 25, & we need to get down field, are you risking losing a down on him if he gets bottled up? I'd rather get Gurley / Brown to get it down the field then run Henderson when we're within FG range.

I am not worried about Goff.

His timing was off all game.

Throwing high, behind , overthrowing, and not seeing some really open receivers.

He just didn't have it today.

But he still made some really good throws too.

As to the defense being gashed by McCaffery, it really seemed like once Weddle was out of the game, that's when Carolina was able to move the ball.

I think Weddle is going to be the key to this Rams defense. Other than two drives to about the Ram 30 yard line, Carolina didn't do much on offense while Weddle was in the game.

I sure hope he is okay.
I think Goff just didn't get enough sleep. Anyone who has gone west coast to east coast on short trips can relate. He singled out the time change as a factor in his press conference while looking a little bit like a (sleep deprived) zombie. Goff will be more than fine against the Saints.

My 2 cents. I'm in Hawaii so I have to wake up at 6:00 am to see the pre-game show LOL.

The Rams, although not running on all cylinders, basically dominated that game. If you minus the punt block and the late TD, Carolina and Scam Newton had no chance to win. Even at the end, they scored just after the 2 minute warning so after we got the onside kick, the game was essentially over.

The Rams will clean up the punt blocking scheme and hopefully next week we will pay back the cry baby saints with our own payback. :owned:

I just watched the first 3 defensive series on the all 22 and Donald was getting blocked by 2 or 3 guys on almost every play. And the two times he was single blocked, they ran away from Donald on one play and Cam threw a quick out on the other play.

I didnt either. Gurley is so good in the redzone.
When I saw Henderon come in I was surprised. My immediate thought, was that the play was going to be a pass.
Which it wasn't
