A few times for sure, but if he is rolling to his right, I don't want him throwing across the entire field to Gurley in the left flat, as Moose was suggesting, during the broadcast. That is a recipe for a quick Pick-6

There is always someone “running wide open”; probably a bad idea to throw it there.

Today was all good, again we survived a road opener without starters playing preseason

Of course there was gonna be some rust

Huge to escape with a W

Bring on the whiny bitches from New Orleans

Gonna be some bitch slapping next Sunday at the mausoleum...count on it

Good: week 1 road win against a good D. Littleton and the D played well.

Bad: calling 2 timeouts with 53 SECONDS left before the half, when Carolina has the ball. Allowing them enough time for a fg.

Ugly: I'm a huge fan of Goff, but he was more than off. There were no less than 3 INTs dropped. Rusty is an understatement. He was just plain bad. No excuse.

He was rusty, but I will take a rusty offense Week 1 over injured starters, especially when 'Rusty' is 30 points.

Enjoy the win fellas!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed beating the kittens at their own house. A win is a win is a win is a win. But it’s going to take a few of those to get the taste of the super bowl out of my mouth.

It didn’t bother me about guys being open when rolling to his right or left and they’re on the other side of the field. It bothers me when he has Kupp completely by himself two separate times and just blatantly doesn’t see him. I think saying rust is kind of a cop out personally. Goff has been playing football his entire life. I’m just curious on what he saw in those plays. Either he didn’t know them or he’s strictly doing what McVay says.

I only followed the game thru NFL Redzone so did not see the game live - but - Calling all available ILBs - can you start on Monday!!! We have got to do something about this Run D. Christian McCaffrey is very good but how much of his yardage was his doing vs Rams D un-doing?

I hear you, and want him to play better also. However, 2 things...

1. As far as the bolded statement, there is also the possibility, that on those couple of plays, at full, NFL Game speed, he just didn't see those guys. I guarantee, you can find 3 or for plays in every game, by every quarterback, where they miss wide open receivers.

2. I don't think you will hear Goff use rust as an excuse. I don't think I've ever heard him use anything as an excuse.

But hey, a win is a win, and we have a tough game next week, which is, I think, why people are apprehensive. We all know the Saints are coming with guns blazing next week.

Run game was great, and pass rush was very solid. Happy to see TG back doing his thing!!

Special teams was bad, but that is a very rare occurrence. Goff was surprisingly ugly but have a hunch he'll bounce back big next week. Today was pretty brutal though.

the good: we won
the bad: on the east coast
the ugly: at 11am kick off

Some rust. Nothing shocking. Rams look like a team that will continue to claim its place as a conference champ and repeat SB contender.

10am kickoff.

Even more ugly.

The Unnoticed Good: JoJo's 16-yard punt return that helped lead to the 4th quarter TD when Rams were up by only 3 points.

The Bad: Goff was pretty bad.

So were the special teams except for that punt return.

I am not worried about Goff.

His timing was off all game.

Throwing high, behind , overthrowing, and not seeing some really open receivers.

He just didn't have it today.

But he still made some really good throws too.

As to the defense being gashed by McCaffery, it really seemed like once Weddle was out of the game, that's when Carolina was able to move the ball.

I think Weddle is going to be the key to this Rams defense. Other than two drives to about the Ram 30 yard line, Carolina didn't do much on offense while Weddle was in the game.

I sure hope he is okay.

That plus they were playing a lot of dime which probably also contributed.

I'm also ok with giving the Panthers some cred. They really have a nice run game.

Can someone tell me why SJD is starting at NT? This guy gets no push and gets blown off the LOS and can't tackle an RB. He is single blocked by a center and he can't get off the block. Why don't they start Gaines? SJD is a starter by seniority not because he's any good. It's not just Goff look at all the dropped passes. They were playing a lot of zone defense in the secondary because they were mindful of Cam's scrambling and McCaffrey's running. I think the whole game plan was simply contain the Panthers offense and simply outscore them. An ugly win is still a win and that's all I care about. IMO this was their preseason game. Hopefully they'll be in full form next week when they face the Saints.

The O-line played as well as they thought they would. I'm not so sure that Allen gave up QB pressure. I would need to see it again but I think it was Blythe. It looked the same as in the New Orleans game last year. Regardless Noteboom looked good as well as Allen.

I liked the way they rotated Brown and Gurley. As I thought Henderson is going to have problems trying to run as a regular RB from scrimmage. This is why I always thought they would be using him differently to get him in space as in the jet sweeps.

Jojo still sucks and they need to play Webster next week. Every time they kick to Jojo I'm afraid he's going to fumble.

All that said I'll take the win and be happy for it.
