It is hard to overlook that really lousy call on Matthews.

That was a textbook pressure technique that forced Wilson to throw the ball away.

Totally shoulder-to-shoulder hit.

Come on man. We cant spend all offseason saying "yeah but the saints D should have made a play!" Then ignore it when its our turn.

Same result as sunday but a totally different feeling afterwards. Seattle is a fucking hard place to go and win and we played, for the most part, really well. I would still like to see the D turn more of their pressure into sacks but on the whole that was good.

That was one of those 50/50 games that more often than not in the past couple of years we have won. We were always going to drop the odd one. I still see this team as an 11 or 12 win team.

No im talking about Kupp missing a beautiful pass in the endzone that absolutely cost us the game in 2017 against the hawks. Kupp's rookie year was filled with amazing catches, but he dropped quite a few 3rd downs and td passes as well.
I’m getting older and lazier so rather than look it up. Are u referring to the slant pass in the end zone that went off Kupps fingertips his rookie season?

Everett did well, as did Higbee I thought. Not sure why they always seem to be compared against each other. We should be pleased we have them both, and hopefully they'll show even more of what they can do as the season goes on.

Also, and I didn't see all the game due to the time it was on here, but I thought we sliced through them pretty much at will in the second half. Only time we struggled was when we were pinned back on our one yard line. We just need to get all facets of the game working well at the same time. It's all about consistency.

Oh and the pass from Goff to Kupp when the commentators thought it should have gone to Everett as he was free was an absolute thing of beauty.

I'm starting to become of the mindset that Kupp is our BEST WR ... and I don't mean to take anything way from Woods or Cooks.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again...Kupp has become a legitimate NFL WR1 (not another Rams WR2). and if he continues the Rams next Pro Bowl receiver.

Also... guess who the leading receiver in the NFL is right now??

As of this morning, @RamsNFL Cooper Kupp leads the NFL in receiving yards (505). Here are the totals (in yards) needed to surpass him the rest of Week 5:

Keenan Allen 54
Chris Godwin 120
Davante Adams 128
Travis Kelce 137
Mike Evans 138
Sammy Watkins 141
Michael Thomas 145

The offense was encouraging, the use of 2 or even 3 TEs was something we haven’t seen very often, but they were terrible on 3rd down. It’s tough to run in the red zone but TG is still a weapon down there. If we can turn those 2 fgs inside the 20 into tds it’s obviously a different game.
Goff’s numbers weren’t great but it seems like there were a lot of balls that receivers got their hands on but didn’t catch, the big int to Everett, the one before that to Kupp, Woods unable to get his feet in. Maybe Goff was hurrying a little after last week getting passes tipped and stripped, But again 48 is too many passes.
If it was anyone else the d line would’ve had a bunch of sacks, hits and hurries but unfortunately it was Russ. AD was living in the backfield, the other guys have to stay patient and not over commit. Is something wrong with Donald and Fowler?
Tackling has never been Peters thing but it might be getting worst, Talib didn’t look so great either but you can’t really fault him for leaving his man on the td, Wilson broke contain, again, and was about to scamper in for a score so he made him throw it, it almost worked out.
This has been a weird year, we thought we were gonna have to rely on defense to win, now it looks like we need to score a bunch.

I, actually saw signs of life, so, sucks we lost, but should have won, and I think we will be OK. For the first time this year..we will be OK.
Pretty much where i'm at. This type of performance and adjustments(offensively) should have happened a week ago vs Tampa though.

11 games left in the season.

I see all of the flaws everyone else does but at this juncture of the season, none of them are so bad that this team can't go toe to toe with any team at any stadium in the postseason.

Nothing has me concerned enough to believe this team team can't finish 9-2 or 10-1.

I'm sorry but the Ram D is soft in the middle and that is SJD. The dude simply can't get off a block for anything. He doesn't even command a double team, the freaking center stones him. Gaines showed more in his 13 snaps by getting penetration than SJD did in his 40 snaps. Time to sit the guy and play Gaines.

I've also seen enough of Fox. His tackles are all on the wrong side of the LOS. Time to play Ogbo for godsake. With Mathews out I think it's time for Ogbo to show what they drafted him to do. Ebukam is the most complete OLB they have and that includes Mathews. Ogbo isn't there yet but he can set and edge and rush the passer and that's exactly what is needed. Ebukam has become an impact player because he's relentless. I see that same thing in Ogbo. The Rams have 3 good edge rushers in Fowler, Ebukam and Ogbo. C'mon Wade turn the dogs loose!!

Well first of all, I never said, "Yeah but the Saints D should have made a play", so I don't know what you're talkin about.

Secondly, it was a 15-yard penalty at a critical time that looked in real time like a clean hit.
And I guarantee you when the referees review the tapes they can have a talk about that being a clean hit.
What?
We're not going to allow pass-rushers to put pressure on the quarterback and force him to throw the ball away anymore?
