Rookie year sounds like a reason for forgiveness and hope to me. It's year 3 for Everett. Thats why I compared it to the 1st down drop instead. Because another incredible talent in year 3 also dropped a pass on that play.
And yet noone was wishing Kupp had better hands his rookie season. Noone (except maybe a few) even remembers those plays, bc Kupp has had plenty of opportunity to allow us to forget those drops. Everett has been an afterthought on this offense the last 2 seasons, and its not bc of his hands. Wishing he had better hands is premature at best.

Yeah, his opportunities have definitely been limited. That was a TD that they called down on the 1" line tonight. Remember we are all a bit drunk (well maybe not all) and bearing the shame of a loss to a division rival. People aren't thinking things all the way out right now. In the moment I was super upset with Everett for (in my mind) "costing us the game"

Give credit where it's due. The Hawks are a damn good team. Losing to them in their house is nothing to pull your hair out over. It was close like I thought it was going to be and in fact ended the way I thought it would (see prediction thread) only I thought Greg would make that kick and IMO 8 of 10 times he does. Nothing in the division is settled yet. The Hawks still have to come to our house.

The o-line shows signs of coming together. Shoring up the edges was key and the obvious move after Sunday. Running between the tackles also an obvious answer to the stacked fronts. I'm glad to see the McVay is now beginning to use the talent on this team in the form of both his TE's. This was Everett's break out game. He's now a weapon they need to defense. The dude is the beast I knew he was from the day they drafted him. He's becoming a complete TE who can block as well as catch.

I think they just need to finish strong until the break, and then really look at making some serious changes. I think with the long week McVay can focus on redirecting this offense starting with the o-line. Inside zone and gap blocking is what they need to prioritize in their run game. Kromer needs to re-tool his front. Running more than outside zone will only add to their arsenal and expand the offense. This team can be a very good between the tackles if they focus on that type of run attack.

This team can still finish 13-3 or 14-2. I love how they came out and played like what we have come to expect. The came off a tough loss and played a good team down to the wire on a short week. They have just gotten tougher to beat and its for real.

I am going with 99 out of 100 times he makes that kick in that situation (I'll wait until he proves me wrong).

It is hard to overlook that really lousy call on Matthews.

That was a textbook pressure technique that forced Wilson to throw the ball away.

Totally shoulder-to-shoulder hit.
Bad calls happen. If we need the refs help to win a game, do we really deserve to win?

Maybe true if he doesn't flub a 3rd and 10 perfect pass into a late game Interception.
Hero to goat in 1 play .
come on man no ones perfect. Not only did he redeem himself the very next drive with a few massive plays, but he was a huge reason we were even in position to suffer a heartbreaking loss. Cut Everett some slack, dude straight balled and he is NOT by any stretch of the imagination the reason we lost that game.

Rams are an amazing team. By far, the best game Goff had played in a long time. The Rams are a bloody fighter, that took an eight count, got up off the mat, and kicked ass. And we all knew they were coming back down the field and there was nothing the Chickens could do about it. Zero! Rams looked like the Packers or the Pats, not the old Rams. So, the kick is missed and we lose the game, but, I have to say, I don't think I have ever been more proud of the Rams. We are going to be fine.

This is the most ok I have been with a loss in a while. Yes, I am disappointed with the outcome, but I saw a lot of things I like. The offense finally had that feel to it in the second half. The defense played well most of the game, but Wilson is just a heck of a QB. He can make plays out of nothing, and every defense will struggle with his threat to run. There was some really weird plays in this game. The TD in the corner by the Seahawks, nothing you can do about that. The interception by Goff, nothing you can do about that. Overall, I feel better about this team than I did after the 3-0 start. I know Allen had a big mess up, but I thought the Oline looked pretty good. They will continue to get better as the season progresses.

I didn't say we needed the refs help to win, dude.

Is it too much to ask for them to make a proper call when they're standing right there?

Three of the officials are supposed to be looking in the backfield and should have been looking right there and they ARE allowed to pick up a flag.

I agree it was a lousy call. But I do think it was the power of the hit that triggered the flag, Matthews has a way of punishing QBs when he gets to them and it's why the refs flag him so consistently.

After last year I think it's time for Clay to accept he needs to do it differently. Get your hands up instead, wrap and twist or whatever like AD does but quit with the high risk pops that can draw flags.

Never said he did . He played great , but we all know how things can change on one play . Still had a chance to win the game . I told my son that I don't like when GZ kicks from the right hash and of course he misses . That one hurts

In certain ways I'm glad that call happened. The Rams still had opportunities to win after. Shuts down the BS narrative of refs

And unlike aints fans, we can accept the Rams still had 3 opportunities to win.

1. Stopping them after the roughing call.

2. On the next offensive possession.

3. The gift playcalling on Seattle's last drive after the lucky INT.

Plus it was hilarious everyone was whining about that facemask no call on the Rams final drive, and Clay Matthews was forgotten.

Take your lumps, shit happens. Move on.

Since we are getting comments on the bad call on Mathews I'll pitch in mine as well. It was a bad call. You think one of the refs would have been able to see it was a shoulder to shoulder hit on a running QB and wave the flag off. I'm all for protecting QBs but, when you run out of the pocket you lose your protection unless you slide feet or head first. The Rams could/should have won anyway. The Rams and their fans have to accept it and move on.

Edit: Hard legal hits should not be flagged out of the game.

Yeah I'm not bitching about bad calls after the NFCCG. We're not Saints fans lol

On the positive side for the Rams.

1. TG showed some life. I wonder tired he was when they took him out in the RedZone after those big runs.

2. Better play from the offensive line.

3. Goff got better as the game went on. Gave the Rams a good chance to win.

4. Everett and Higbee are making a nice pair of TEs. McVay decided to get them more chances.

5. Rams can mix in the 12 P with good results that loosen up the run game.

bitching about bad calls is A-okay in my book.
If everybody stopped it would only get worse.

There is a giant difference between complaining about a bad call and doing what Saints fans did.

Cooper Kupp is one of the best WRs in the NFL. 100catches for 1,300 and 10TDs incoming.

I'm starting to become of the mindset that Kupp is our BEST WR ... and I don't mean to take anything way from Woods or Cooks.
