We need a new kicker

Day 3 is a good spot to find a kicker. Zuerline was a 6th round pick if I remember. He had some good years up till the 2019 season where he missed a kick against Seattle that woulda given us 10 wins and a playoff spot. He was clutch in the NFCCG vs New Orleans.

Ironically Greg the Leg will be a free agent this offseason. I'd take him back over this current shit show if we can't find any other answer. He's still mostly money inside of 50 yards.

I'm starting to agree with @El Chapo Jr 's theory that McVay just has to have one guy each year that he (mistakenly) supports. Like Bobby Evans. Or Jamil Demby. Or Tutu in the 2021 draft.This year.... The way McVay talks about Havirisik... even after his release, McVay STILL thinks this guy could turn it around.

McVay is a sure-fire HOF coach. I'm beyond thrilled the Rams have him. But every once in a long while... he believes too much in a player.

Yeah Patterson missed 3 XP's, but in 44 attempts. Havirisik missed 3 in just 22 attempts. Lucas misses twice as often. And Maher has missed 2 XP's in just 15 attempts.

Bottom line, Patterson's stats (FG% and XP%) are significantly better than both Havrisik and Maher. If the Rams beat Detroit and advance, I still hope the Rams sign Patterson the following week, if he's available by then.

Patterson isn't an all-star and there are no great solutions out there. I just think Patterson's stats are better than what we currently have. As for next year, I hope the Rams draft a K.

We will be waiting until the offseason. Alex Felkins from Penn State recently declared for the draft. He was very good for them after transferring from Columbia.

He was 18/22 on field goals and 45/45 on extra points.

Not only does Maher also not have a ring, but he can't make XP's. I'll take the ex-whiner who can hit the easiest chip shot kick every day of the week instead of a completely unusable bum. I could definitely see Maher costing us the game this weekend, and that seems unacceptable.
