With that said, I think he ends up with ATL.
Best spot for him IMHO, an offensive head coach, an outstanding owner in Arthur Blank that can partner with Watson & aid in assist in rebuilding his image, plus, Atlanta is the biggest city in the south trumping New Orleans & the Saints don't offer much in Head Coach now and Offensive Assistants.

Also I did call this early, so I will be honest, there is that too.

Frank Reich will be on the hot seat if they trade for another QB and it doesnt work out. Cant imagine he'd want to hitch his wagon to Baker Mayfield. Yikes!

<Phone rings>
Person answers: "Umm, hello??"
Reich: "Hey Andrew, its Frank here over here at Lucas Oil. How you feeling these days? Ya know the new thing is to come out of retirement"
Andrew Luck: "Yeah uh Frank, hang on a minute here, its going to sound like I hung up but you just stay on the line....."
What better option do they have right now? No 1st RD pick, not much on the open market.

I think he should already be on the hot seat myself.

I thought you were calling for Carolina? (Which still makes a heck of a lot of sense)
I was all over the place, but when Atlanta was rumored I did some research that Watson was from there and I really respect Arthur Blank as a person & owner and felt for Watson, it would be good for him plus the Falcons had some assets to offer. Also Falcons HC Arthur Smith is an offensive guy, so that also is a plus. Overall, I hope things work out for Falcons owner Blank, just not against the Rams.

Plus ever since the 2018 Championship Game, I have not been a fan of New Orleans, their owner, their fans, so I hope he doesn't end up there.

SF has got to be kicking themselves trading all those 1st for Lance. If they don’t keep Jimmy… they’re starting a rookie.

I don’t know about Watson in Atlanta. I guess its a good spot for him?
Yeah, isn’t it great!?! Knee jerk reaction to the Stafford trade.

Watson is a good place to start with a rebuild, if the are smart about it and don’t pull a Jacksonville and start overpaying before the market is set.

Dont know. Maybe they really like the Ehlinger kid they drafted? I was surprised that they got rid of Eason who at one point was pretty high on the Colts future hopes list, could be they wanted this kid to move up.
But Baker? Ugh.... I'd rather roll with a Teddy Bridgewater who will give you all he's got and not make any headaches

IDK, I'm not big on Bridgewater, excellent backup that's it. Agreed you get drama with Mayfield, but I would take him over Bridgewater, which to me, is like eating dry toast.

Too funny. The Bridgewater example was predicated on the Colts being highly enthusiastic about Ehlinger, if they arent, its a whole nuther convo.

YES!!! The moment they paid 3 #1s to move up for Lance, I was giddy... why? The ONE thing they were out of now was the Watson race and I couldn't be happier.

Watson with Kyle Shanahan would be dangerous... basically a better Kaepernick and we saw how a competent coach could use Kaep...
