Agree. The difference here is that Matt Ryan is still a franchise QB who can play and will be sought after. Wherever he goes could push another domino to fall and so on.

Colts, Seahawks, Panthers all have cap space.

Panthers were pushing hard for Watson.

Ryan is not the same player, but they seem set to land a proven guy.

Yeah, I trust Allbright; he’s the one who broke the Foles trade to us, after all.

The falcons have some pieces. And Arthur Smith is the truth. I can see why the Falcons would be attractive.

Better than the fucking Panthers anyway.

Also Kyle Pitts ain't gonna be part of the deal. I wouldn't trade him for Watson straight up.

Can't see ATL trading him in division. I think they go for Winston if they don't get Watson or maybe make a push for Baker even though the Dumpster fire Browns said they won't trade him.

Why not? He'll be 37 (closer to 38) come next season and probably gonna retire after a year or two.

I saw today that they have never signed that extension that would result in all that dead cap. They had just agreed in principle.
I thought it was reported that he agreed to an extension last week that would have lowered the cap hit, so that he could be traded. But that extension was never processed so the dead cap would be 40+ mill

IF Watson goes to NO.. they went from like $80mil over the cap to getting Watson. That'd be impressive.

With that said, I think he ends up with ATL.

I'd say if Matt Ryan were to get traded, I could see him going to the Eagles, if they realistically see that Hurts doesnt have it. I'd also think Pittsburgh is a good spot though the signing of Trubisky makes it a bit difficult

Agreed. Perhaps CLE. I think Baker ends up in Indy, and Ryan to Cleveland.

Frank Reich will be on the hot seat if they trade for another QB and it doesnt work out. Cant imagine he'd want to hitch his wagon to Baker Mayfield. Yikes!

<Phone rings>
Person answers: "Umm, hello??"
Reich: "Hey Andrew, its Frank here over here at Lucas Oil. How you feeling these days? Ya know the new thing is to come out of retirement"
Andrew Luck: "Yeah uh Frank, hang on a minute here, its going to sound like I hung up but you just stay on the line....."
