Watch: A huge fight broke out among fans at Rams-Chargers game

Fans were finally allowed to attend a game at SoFi Stadium for the first time on Saturday night as the Rams took on the Chargers in Week 1 of the preseason, and things got a little bit too heated in the stands among a group of fans. A huge fight broke out in what appears to be the lower level as a handful of guys unloaded a flurry of punches on a fan.

It left the fan’s face bloodied, as can be seen in the photo above.

Two other fans were also going at it nearby before the two fights spilled into each other.

It took security a surprisingly long time to come over, with nearly a minute and a half passing before someone arrived. It’s unclear what started the fight.

Great:eyeroll:

Way to represent Rams nation in the first game fans were allowed in the new stadium.

Hope they all got arrested and banned for life.

Geeez people need to remember that preseason is meaningless to everyone except the players.

I used to go to an occasional Lakers game but that was when they were back in the Forum. Jerry Buss was a business client so I got free tickets. Never had a problem.

I went to a few Dodger games and the last one some drunken yahoo tried to pick a fight by hitting on my GF in front of his wife and kids!! Never went back to another pro-game in LA.

Went to several Charger games in SD and never had a problem, though there were some in the parking lot. I used the park and ride to get to the games and it was the best way in and out. Kroenke should do the same at SoFi. I lived in La Costa at the time and the park n ride was just down at the I-5 and La Costa ramps which was 5 minutes. Free shuttle service and free parking LOL. The main thing is that I avoided any potential problems that way. I could have a few beers (my wife didn't drink) and it was quick, easy and safe. The bus left 20 min after the game ended and the pickup was 70 min before kickoff. Usually a 45 min drive down back then.

I would never go to a game here in AZ because everyone is drinking and packing guns. When I lived in Seattle I came down to a Husky game in Phoenix and there was a shooting in the parking lot between drunken armed fans. Never again.

I have a few observations.

1) play stupid games win stupid prizes. Starting a fight with three people means you’re gonna get your ass whooped

2) Only cowards jump people

3) they’re lucky that guy didn’t die getting pummeled like that.

4) Unacceptable it took that long for a stadium response
