Here's my problem with Wade saying "my bad," is he has been a DC or HC for 40 or years. He should have seen every scenario possible. Plus he has had a year and a half with this organization and he essentially got all the type of players he wanted in the off-season.

He miscalculated the pass rush. He has not drilled down imo on tackling, and FS play. Feels like he is phoning it it. McVay seems way hungrier. He too got Cooks added to a team but the offense is living up to their reputation the D is not.
I disagree. I don't think Wade has gotten ALL of the players his defense needs. We had to shuffle around the salary on the defense along with replacing Tru and Sammy Watkins with limited picks. We signed Suh and traded for Talib and Peters, but unfortunately we were left with 3 new lb starters and an injured guy that's playing out of position. Sorry but lower mid to late Rd picks aren't going to come in the NFL and contribute right away.

We hoped that the Dline's dominance would hide our raw lbs this season until we can finish it next year, but that has not been the case. Outside of Donald, no other lb or lineman has shown they can win a 1-on-1 matchup consistently.

When he won in Denver, he had Von Miller and Ware, and rushed four a lot of the time. Suh is not getting in the backfield as expected. With our 1st Rd pick, I expect us to draft an edge guy or cb.

I sure hope some of you are right about Talib.

I just do see how any CB is going to vastly improve a suspect run defense (190 yards rushing given up last time at Seattle).

Nor do I understand why we traded a much higher draft pick for Peters, than we did for Talib, if Talib is the clearly superior player.
Peters is a younger cheaper player. That is why the higher draft pick.

Looks like losing Quinn was big on our rush even though the pressure is sometimes there you gotta take 'em down more to get off the field.

Well, now we get the opportunity to see how Wade adjusts two big games coming up against two spectacular Quarterbacks, who can also run. Pressure is all on Phillips as when you score 35 points, you should win most games.

I understand they don't have Talib and it reminds me last year, when they lost Kayvon Webster, Wade pointed that out last year as to why the defense struggled and when Webster returned the defense did improve. Now similar with the loss of Talib, but he won't be back until after the bye week, so time for the defense to step up before his return with the hope that with Fowler and now Okoronkwo, the Rams can control the edge and put more pressure on Wilson and Patty Mahomes.

Well said coach Den. It appears that Wade has taken a step back this season after the first 9 games.

I will trust in Wade again after we see how he adjusts his defense over the next 2 games. Stop the Seahawks running game and stop the Chiefs elite passing attack.

The Seahawks game is one most of us expect to win even if the Rams don't play their best.

Next weeks game in Mexico vs the Chiefs will tell us fans a ton about Wade's ability to have solid game plan that puts his players in the best position to win.

Wade failed miserably against the Saints late last week and he-needs to prove that today's modern day NFL passing offenses haven't passed him by.

Huge challenge and if not, what will the Rams do? this would be something major for McVay because one of the reasons he landed the position is because of his ability to include Wade as part of the package. If the defense continues to struggle not sure how the Rams handle this. Guess they could hire a defensive guru, pay him quite a bit and call him a "Defensive Consultant or Assistant." But that never works. Wade needs to figure it out or it's going to continue to be this teams Achilles heel.

OMG... the Rams, Marcus Peters, Suh, Wade Philips... let's throw all the bums out! The Rams gave up ONE PLAY!!!!! And if it wasn't for that ONE PLAY, they would by 9-0, and completed a comeback for the ages in a hostile dome against the second-best team in the conference. I still love this defense, and it will get batter. On to 9-1, and a beating of the Hags is what we need. Go Rams!

Snead/Wade entered 2018 season with 6 new starters whereas the offense opened up with only 1 new starter. You might could include RG Austin Blythe but Jamon Brown remained on the team.

NT- Suh replaced Tyrunn Walker/Tanzel Smart
ER- Longcre replaced veteran Barwin
ER-Ebukam replaced veteran Quinn
MLB-Littleton replaced veteran Ogletree
CB Peters replaced Webster
CB Talib replaced veteran Johnson

3 of which were first time starters. Suh should have been an imediate improvement? Both Longacre & Ebukam were involved heavy in the rotation in 2017 of the ER's. Littleton had starts @ the ILB (Barron) & both outside OLB'er posts in the 43 D of Williams. On paper this 2018 defense looks very strong with these additions.

The early UN health situation of starters ILB Mark Barron, OLB Matt Longacre & all pro CB Aqib Talib does play into the ongoing Defensive issues but fact is the defensive players have not made pays missed way too many tackles & proved unable to stop the run on a constant basis. Suh may be an outstanding 3 tech or 5 tech DL'er but going with the plan that he could be a force @ NT post at this time appears to have been a mistake. Hard to find a reason to have LB'ers Barron/Longacre return next season. Paying CB Marcus Peters over $9 million in 2019 to perform like he has done this far is "Not Smart"!

On Suh?? Only reason to want him to return (@Suh's ultra high cost $$ salary) is if they move Brockers back to NT & insert Suh into the DE. Thus making the procurement of a talented Nose Tackle in the 2019 Draft a higher priority. At this time is appars that GM Snead may have not done as well as we thought early on ....on the procurement of Peters & Suh.
