I'm happy for Von and have no hard feeling towards him. However it's gonna be great when the Rams steamroll the Buffalo Bills in week one showing the world once again why they're the Champions.

I don’t recall seeing anything detailing the Rams offer. Do you have that information?
Rodrigue has referred to it... Demoff did in a podcast a couple of days ago. They didn't go into specifics, but the gist I've read and heard is that it was at least one full year of guaranteed money more than the Rams were willing to do.

First of all I really like the Bills. It was my fathers favorite team and I lived in Buffalo for a couple years when I was young. I’ve even been to a couple Bills home games and love the loyalty, passion and generosity of their fanbase. I’ve stated before O think they are the best fans of an NFL Team.
With that said what will need to happen in the 2022 season for Von Miller and the Bills to consider their contract together a success? I’d say at least a trip to the Super Bowl for the Bills and at least 10 sacks during the regular season by Miller along with agreement that Miller improved their run/pass rush defense significantly. In addition Miller has to make it through the regular season without any significant injury time. Thoughts?

Looks like we had a decent offer and not a ceiling and the Bills came in and over shot over our 16 mill per year average.

With Von, it was the money but equal to that watching in his interviews at times you can tell him not being a big fish but playing second fiddle to AD caused a bit of distaste for him.

Probably 60/40 percent of the reasons to part ways,

Agree that it was about the $ but the Average-Per-Year can be miss-leading.

His contract with Buffalo is 6 years / $120M. So that's an APY of $20M. However, when you look at the contract terms, payout and guaranteed-$, it appears that Miller will pocket about $50M over the next three seasons.

Curious to know what Miller would have collected over a three-year-period under the Rams' offer

You know, I really was bummed when we lost Von. But I’m looking forward to the young guns and what they can offer now. The young guys will be motivated to perform, especially now that there is plenty of competition among them.

I still believe Von lived in ADs shadow and that played a big part in his decision. Plus the possibility to win 3 Super Bowl with 3 different teams would be historic.

I think we will be fine.

Here's my take on Von Miller... at 33 years old... he probably thought he was almost done. His numbers were down from his previous "superstar" days, and Denver traded him for peanuts and, IN ADDITION, had to eat his contact. So everybody knew he was not the same player that he used to be.

He comes to LA, teams with AD, and boom... he starts playing like the old Von Miller again and definitely helps the Rams win a Super Bowl. He loves LA, he loves playing with AD and OBJ, but the Bills come calling with a mega-deal and his ego makes him believe he is the old Von Miller again. His agent and his father start telling him he'd be crazy to pass up that money, and he ultimately agrees to go to Buffalo.

He signs the deal, then has remorse because he never wanted to leave LA and the Rams in the first place. My guess is that we will see the guy that left Denver playing for Buffalo and definitely not the guy we saw in the playoffs. He doesn't want to be in Buffalo, so he will just go thru the motions until injury or the retirement bug sets in.

The Rams paid a premium to have the Broncos pay that money. That’s the only thing I’d argue with much here.

Do we believe his actions or his words? He never wanted to leave Denver even if they weren’t very good but he seemed to embrace his role in LA and the chance for a ring. There seemed to be a real connection with AD as someone who was also a true defensive superstar. He encouraged Donald to show everyone how important a ring was to him and that everyone would want it for him as well and that’s how it played out, nobody wanted to let AD down. I guess now it’s even more obvious that Donald is the heartbeat of the defense, it’s inspirational leader, someone who’s lived through Jeff Fisher, the SB loss and the playoff loss vs the packers when he was hurt. Von has more rings but was never going to be more than a sidekick, a hired gun, so he left. Von gets to be in Buffalo through ota’s & minicamp & training camp and could establish himself as possibly their best player which was never gonna happen here.
Von was a great player and might still be, but every sack he gets here was going to be in some way because of Donald and either you’re fine with that or you’re not.
Maybe he was trying to justify his move with his comments, lots of guys would be really happy playing opposite Donald and just collecting sacks cuz he attracts so much attention, but all great players have egos, I think maybe Von’s pushed him out of a great situation, but you never know maybe he’ll be the piece that gets the bills to the top of the afc.

He's not on the team anymore so fuck him. He made his decision and he wanted the money and to be looked at as the #1 on the defensive line. I appreciate his help with getting our ring, but this is a new year. I only root for Rams.

Agreed. I think Robinson got the Von contract. Which lead to Woods getting traded and opening up Wagner signing.

So it was Von + woods versus Wagner + Robinson. I think we ended up better off overall.
Exactly and as much as I love Bobby Trees give me Robinson and Wagner everyday and twice on Sunday over Miller and Woods

I posted similar couple weeks ago. Obj I assume Miller but definitely Andre Reed were on Atlantic City and Reed admittedly said he put such a full court press on Obj that he has a good feeling about it that it left an impression. This isn't shocking.
Obj needs to do what's best for him but damn la to buffalo is like banishment and then for one player Von when you have done something special and have created an entire extended family. Maybe the Rams don't feel it's more of a luxury than a necessity and just don't really want him back except Mcvay but he doesn't have final say.
Damn talk about culture shock to a family la to buffalo. Miller too he hates buffalo just wants someone there with him to suffer with him and make himself more comfortable.

Again I say take a hike ringless Andre Reed!!!

We only have ourselves to blame. We have decided to wait until he's healthy before signing OBJ, which is smart for us, but leaves Odell dangling in the wind. I don't blame if he signs with Buffalo, instead of waiting for us.
