Interesting.

While he was trying to convey a desire to take on a new challenge of getting another team over the hump, his specific mention of AD seems to reveal something else. When you’re used to being “the guy,” it’s tough to accept being number two.

Be careful what you wish for, Von… the “Donald effect” is real (ask Clay Matthews, Dante Fowler or Leonard Floyd).

Only one player has won a SB with 3 different teams-- Matt Millen, with Raiders, SF, and WAS.

So Von is trying to be the second to do it, I guess.

Sounds to me like he's trying to rationalize his 100M business decision by saying he "wasn't content".

not clay matthews. he certainly got a few sacks but the rest of his game was woeful. i don't think he saw the field again after the rams kicked him to the kerb.

My natural inclination is to say "screw you" Von, but I won't. Thanks for the few months and now I don't care about you. I think you will come to find out that having AD on your team got you paid. Enjoy the money and the snowstorms.

Lets see where his stats land.

Von has gone from this;

agree exactly, but Clay IMO still had more left than he got credit for.

Donte Fowler was not all that & Clay was the guy putting pressure & asked to do more things as a LBer.Teams schemed more on him as Donte was just a pure pass rusher.

Hollins is going to be better than most think. He has only improved &
held down that ROLB/Edge ok.

Looking back at that 2019 (team)defense there were some question marks that get overlooked.

I’ll just say Clay & Weedle we’re both excellent Rams in 2019. Clay put that hit on Nick Foles, but for some reason Matthews got hurt in 19”.

Smart & Gaines playing late against
the 9ers cost The Rams(Wade).Add Jalen & Rapp either or messed up twice. Raheem always says stats are for losers. That was a case there.
AD99 should have been in the game twice on a rotation late in the game & wasn’t. We all saw what happened once you have teams with there back against the wall & AD99 is in the game.

Buffalo Bills are very good and Von is just increasing the drama for the Thursday Night showdown. Lets run right at him.

Just my two cents on Von Miller.

Great Football Player. Still an impact-player. Huge factor in the Rams winning a Lombardi. Genuinely nice guy.

NOT a deep thinker.

I don't assume that what Miller says in a June press conference, is what he thought in March when he signed with Buffalo.

Understand that tape can be edited but when I watched the video that was posted in March when Miller made his decision, he seemed like he was leaning too heavily on his agent and father. It seemed clear that both men were directing Miller to choose the Bills; and it surprised me that a 33-year-old, eleven-year-vet was not being more proactive about his signing decision.

And, looking at his contract. Although it's 6 years / $120M, Miller figures to actually see about $45-$50M.

Be careful what you wish for, Von… the “Donald effect” is real (ask Clay Matthews, Dante Fowler or Leonard Floyd).

Floyd was the smartest one of those three in parenthesis, he clearly understood the Donald effect and has maximized his own value because of that.

Matthews wasn't bad as a pass rusher for us, but man he was terrible against the run ... rushed himself right out of so many plays.

I call BS…

Miller took the offer for the money the Bills offered, pure and simple. And who can blame him?

But please spare us the spin, man. No need to insult our intelligence.

Agreed this adds to the Opening game hype. I will say In the behind the scenes video on his decision it looked like his eyes were blinded by $$$ signs (being pushed by his father and agent) from the smoke&mirrors 6 year/$120m contract. He will be lucky to see half of that.

And I will repeat this a million times he wasn't their first choice. They panicked once Chandler Jones signed with Vegas. The whole time all we heard here was bills maffia and the bills how they were after Chandler and begging etc. Once chance said hell no they quickly pivoted and overpaid. However always close with best of luck not against us and Thank you. Oh and stop with the bullshit bro just come out and say I couldn't turn down money like that.

He needed to rebound from his other media session when he said,”air really hasn’t sunk in that I am not in LA”

His contract video said it all. His heart was in LA but his Dad and agent told him his brain needs to choose the money.

Have fun in Buffalo Von. You won’t have AD to draw three Olinemen up there. Plus it’s not a great city. At least the people are nice.
