You know, I'd wish for once an athlete would just straight up admit that shit directly. I'd respect them much more if they did because at least they are being honest.
TBH reading around here since he picked Buffalo I don't care. The amount of pissing and moaning and talking shit about him makes me root for him more. It's like we didn't win the Super Bowl and Rams fans have nothing to root for.

I really do not understand the angst.

There was some luck in his position and he capitalized on it.

No doubt the Bronco fans should feel more disgruntled. He plays like around half a season for us and gets that kind of coin he would have never seen if Stafford/Kupp and Donald does not win that game for us.

I see us doing fine without him.

Yeah I'm not necessarily just talking about Von, but just in general. These players just say whatever BS reason they signed with a team and it would be refreshing to hear the honest truth from time to time. I've moved on from Von and happy he helped us get a chip. Now I wish him no further good luck as I only wish that upon our Rams.

Politics brother.

We all play it at sometime.

I believe the Rams will add a vet Edge player (likely by trade or pickup cut player vs Free agency). I don’t see them overpaying so someone like Clowney would be eliminated but what if the Rams requested Donalds input in selecting the player. So say the Rams boil it down 3 potential targets. Allow Donald to express if he has a strong opinion for or against any of them.

Yeah I know but when you already signed on the dotted line, it's not like they are going to take the money from them. Besides, it would add to my collection of legendary gifs for an athlete being ballsy enough to say he went to the highest bidder because he believes he's worth that much lol

"One thing about the Rams vs. the Bills is the Rams are built for right now but that organization will struggle to maintain this level of success five years from now. I’m not sure that’s true for the Buffalo Bills who are already Super Bowl contenders (+650) and have a young enough team to stay in the mix for years to come".

Lemme guess, specifically regarding team age, if the Bills offered $95M over 6 years, you'd still do that deal??

Another ’behind the curve‘ thinking talking head.
My advise to the author of that article is ‘go back to sleep.’

I don’t have a problem with him saying that about 5 years from now.. that’s when it’s fair to wonder what Stafford looks like.. Allen will be in his prime.

But… if Snead & McVay are still around? The Rams will be a contender.

Oh… and if the writer thinks that Miller went to the Bills because they’re a better bet? He’s a fucking moron. Miller went because it was more money on a contender

Makes you wonder if all the AD and McVay retirement talk had an effect. Otherwise this line of thinking makes so sense given how competitive we've been for the last 5 years. Stafford is only 33.

One last point and I'm not sure if anyone brought this up yet but this is likely the last time Snead makes a big mid-season trade for a guy on the last year of his contract.

Luckily a 2nd and 3rd is a cheap price to pay if it ends in a Super Bowl but that is an insane amount to pay for only half a season, no matter how good the player is. We traded for the guy with a long term extension in mind, but the problem is the player obviously has a say in that and Miller kind of fucked us there.

If we were at least getting a 3rd round comp pick back like we did with Sammy Watkins or Dante Fowler that would lessen the blow but the problem is we can't get more than a 5th round pick because he's old apparently.

I doubt we give up that much draft capital without some contract guarantees in the future. In almost all of our other recent trades we've either signed the player to a long term extension or gotten some decent compensation after they left, this is the first time they've really gotten burnt by a player.

So to go from zero snow in Los Angeles to 80+ inches of snow........and 34 days of rain to 160+ days of rain. Well, he did play in Denver so he must like the elements.

To say the Rams will fall off a cliff ignores the ruthlessness of Les Snead, and his aggression. He will make sudden moves that shock us to improve the team. It's what scares me when I think of AD staying a Ram until retirement, because that type of sentimental thinking goes against who Snead is as a GM.
