I propose a drinking game:

We gather all of Fishers' quotes this week of what he's going to "fix" or "work on", like blocking or penalties. Then next game, every time that part fails again, we drink!

Special Team illegal block on a punt return, drink!

Sam Bradford checks down unnecessarily, drink!

Whatever he says he gonna fix.

Should make the chat room veeeeeery interesting.

I fear we'd all pass out before the end of the first half, tho. :hehe:

Drinking "Game"...

I can't even imagine watching a Ram game without continuous drinking of alcohol right now.

It's no fucking game... it's necessity.

My only vent:

The team came out with a lot of spirit and fight and they still laid a huge fucking egg. I did see a few positives but so far we have played 2 decent quarters in 4 games. And sorry. But if this is due to execution problems, I still put it on the coaches. There is talent on this team. A lot of it. Maybe not at RB but who knows really. I really didn't see a hole for DR to run through AT ALL so I can't really put a whole lot of it on him.

My impression is that Schotty just isn't a good OC - he just isn't - and Walton is in WAY over his head. Not sure we really need Walton with all the other former DCs and HCs on this staff.

Right now, the only people carrying their weight IMO is Snead and KD. Fish has ultimate responsibility for the product on the field. And that product, no matter how you slice it is just plain bad in all aspects.

Thinking back on it, it should have been a bit of a tell that all the O and D linemen were huffing and puffing like I've never seen in preseason. I thought at the time I was just noticing something I hadn't in previous seasons. Now I have to wonder if the whole player's coach thing is biting us. Maybe Fish was also too concerned about injuries that he didn't work them hard enough? I don't know but whatever the case, our O-line is weak and our D-line is constantly being manhandled. Either that or EVERYONE is out of position and constantly being fooled.

Bottom line is that this coaching staff is at fault for most of what I see. This is clearly my opinion. But NO ONE aside from maybe Quinn, Tree, and Jenks are playing well. And Jenks seems to be playing fairly well despite looking lost out there. (Yeah - he's making mistakes. I see that too.)

We're all frustrated. But these are our Rams - and this is the state they're in. I will rout for them till my last breath. But for fucks sake, could they please stop ripping my heart out?

BTW... I will be gone a lot over the next month so don't take it as that I have lost my want to discuss my team.

Take care my Rams bruthuhs.

Do you believe she cursed us? Remember she had told Chip to not fire Linehan. It was the old womans dying wish, I knew
Chip was in the line of fire, But we won just 2 games after that. Vs the Cowboys and Skins If I remember.

Do you believe in that we're cursed

I'm at work and I can't even restrain from posting this.

WHY IN THE FUCK DO YOU DRAFT TAVON AUSTIN IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO USE HIM???????!!!!!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!!!??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!????????!!!!!

More venting when I get home. I must say though, this is one of the worst hangovers I've ever had. I'm not even hungover really, just emotionally fucking drained. I cannot believe... On Thursday night football, in front of that crowd... That was your chance... That was your chance to start selling tickets again, to start making the Rams relevant again... Not even competitive at all.

What a fucking shame

My life is so dam chill and somber during the most exciting and overall best time of the year. Fall is my favorite season, football is my favorite sport, the trees are turning to their beautiful fall colors... and my Rams suck on an epically dissappointing level. It's ruining a lot of happy shyte for me. At least I love my job and have some sense of exciting importance in my life because my team certainly can't fill that void. All the high hopes gone by week before week 5... dang guys. This is worse than 2011 because nobody saw this coming. Dang, it's just not adding up. It makes me wonder if we should traded Sam and took RG3. I still wouldn't do it but it just goes to show how desperate I am for the Rams to play opposite of what they're playing.

Here's something I want to vent about.

We have more Seattle and 49er fans coming to Bradford's defense as a QB than Rams fans. I'm seeing them on all sorts of websites say that Bradford would be a top QB if we tailored an offense to his strengths, and if we had taken RG3 we would be even worse because we'd be sticking him into an offense he doesn't excel in a anyway.. And that the problems on offense start with our lack of run game, and Bradford can't do it all himself.

That's disappointing that our rivals have to defend our QB because our fans aren't doing it. It's also disappointing that everyone is trying to blame Bradford when it's the least of our worries. We haven't had a run game at all, which means that teams are just playing the pass, and yet for the first 2 weeks we had a top 2 passing game. We've dropped down to 12th the past two weeks (still best in our division mind you) because defenses are respecting our run game even less than before. Again though, people are trying to blame it all on Bradford.

Is he regressing? It seems like he is at this point. Is it because he lacks the ability? I don't think so, I think he lacks the support. No run game, shitty pass protection the past two weeks, and uncreative plays that don't get his receivers open in space.

Okay, guess I'll just throw everything against the wall here !!

First off, it wasnt me this week. I burned sage, washed all the bad luck out off my previously worn jerseys, work hard all day with out looking at the clock, spun around blind folded three times while hitting the vape  , had all the right snacks out, all to no avail. The I told the wife, shit forgot to takes the dogs new Rams collar off...he has had it for 3 weeks now. Wife said it is all on the team, has nothing to do with us !!!

Anyway, was pointed out elsewhere that during the breaks in action last night, they were showing the "smack cams" from preseason on thr Jumbotron. Kind of funny showing that crap as the RAMS are getting their collective ASSES handed to them on the field. Maybe next year Fisher should actually have the players do some TRAINING while at camp, and stop the dicking around

I'm with you BC.

Bradford had a bad game, as did the whole team. But I can't throw this at the feet of Sam. That's the easy way out.

The issues are much deeper and I think everyone, even those hating on Sam, know it.

I am also not ready to give up on the season. Things change quickly in the NFL. A win and momentum can be a magical thing.

But I share a lot of frustrations with Rams fans right now. I see a lot of the same disturbing trends. I see what appears a lack of ability from the coaching staff to make corrections.

I hope it changes sooner rather than later.

Sam did NOT play his best. He still played pretty good.

I'm not sure who blew the TD pass but that could have been a game changer.

There were so few down field attempts, I just don't get it.

I remember a long attempt to Austin that should have been
PI. I remember one over 20 yards to Givens.

Dropped passes again.

I thought Sam looked absolutely terrible all game long. Sure he had little protection,no running game, questionable play calling etc...but he looked extremely overwhelmed, indecisive and very inaccurate from the get go.

That early TD miss to a wide open Pettis(?) set the tone for the rest of the game. You just CANNOT miss that throw, even if you've got pressure in your face. Bradford has made tougher throws than that before with pressure.

wait!......."But I thought...."

Wait! This cant be happening.

It CANT be HAPPENNING BECAUSE I THOUGHT.....

But I thought....this team was using a "vanilla offense" in pre season, in fact EVERYONE on the Rams team said so during pre season interviews.

But I thought.....Sam would have a greater feel since he had the offense installed for the 2nd year in a row....at least that's what everyone said this off season...

But I thought..... this defense would be lights out because....well because it SHOULD BE. At least that's what we all thought we all knew.

I thought Jared Cook was a target...... (no comment)

I also thought Tavon Austin was a target..WAIT! He actually IS a target. Just not catching anything outside 2 yards.

I thought we had a team and I thought wrong.

What did you guys think?

Most diehard fans were worried deep down in the pre-season. Sure as shyte they were correct.

Moved my own thread here. It sounds more like a rant:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.stltoday.com/sports/columns/bernie-miklasz/bernie-ability-to-adjust-is-what-sets-cards-apart/article_221c5720-b93b-5538-9d05-b90719d43816.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.stltoday.com/sports/columns/ ... 43816.html</a>

On special teams

The Rams have the most special-teams penalties by an NFL team this season, with 11. They were tied for the most special teams penalties in 2012, with 28. So in 20 games under assistant coach John Fassel, the Rams’ special teams have been flagged 39 times for 328 yards. No other NFL team is even close to being that undisciplined on special teams.

On refusal to go up-tempo

Jeff Fisher’s stubborn refusal to let a stagnant offense run the no-huddle attack to perk things up is simply baffling. But Fisher tries to justify it by saying that when you run the no-huddle and go three plays and out, your team’s defense has to come back on the field without much of a break.

Info for Coach Fisher: The Rams already have 14 three-and-out series this season, or nearly 28 percent of the possessions. And the offense has had only two series that lasted more than five minutes. So the Rams defense can’t rest, anyway. This is more about Fisher’s old-world mind-set and inflexible attitude.

On Schottenheimer

I don’t have enough space to cite all of Brian Schottenheimer’s failures as offensive coordinator this season. But let’s go with this one: His strategies are squandering the speed, skill and versatility of first-round draft choice Tavon Austin. Schottenheimer hasn’t shown any ability to get Austin free on the perimeter. Austin is averaging an astoundingly low 6.2 yards a reception, 3.7 yards at the point of the catch, and 5.6 yards a touch. He’s played 195 snaps in four games and is averaging only 33.5 yards from scrimmage per game. It’s a remarkable waste of an asset by an offense that’s short of assets.

Marshall Faulk said it on the NFL Network at halftime of the Rams loss to the 49ers: “It’s something in Brian Schottenheimer’s offense that gets his teams off to slow starts.” That’s a true statement. Over his six seasons as coordinator for the NY Jets, his offense averaged only four points a game in the first quarter, which ranked 22nd among 32 teams. As the Rams’ coordinator since the start of last season, his offense has averaged 2.8 points in the first quarter, which ranks 29th.

That early TD miss to a wide open Pettis(?) set the tone for the rest of the game. You just CANNOT miss that throw, even if you've got pressure in your face. Bradford has made tougher throws than that before with pressure.

I rewatched the early TD miss. He was under pressure and had to throw before Pettis was even looking. Meaning either he threw it to the wrong spot or threw it there too early or Pettis was in the wrong spot or was late.

What's my vent?

Fisher seems out of touch with the game and his team. Schottenheimer is in way over his head. Walton is showing some improvement but still not quite getting it done. Sam is regressing.

I have another. On the bright-side, at least it's taking longer for us to go 3 and out. Fisher was right, if we run the hurry up, when we inevitably go 3 and out, it'll be quicker. Lets lengthen the process. Kind of like how you don't rip the band-aid off quickly, you slowly peel it off.
