7 guys who are not only All Pros but outside of OBJ are Hall of Famers-and he has Hall of Fame talent.

Sorry, but no fucking excuses. And for everyone pining for Donald to win a Super Bowl all I have to say is that it would be nice if he showed as much passion in these big games as the people on this board. Show the fuck up in these big games Aaron like the rest of the all time greats do.

Yeah I actually thought Morris called a decent game. Not sure how you coach around softness like that. Did you see how many times we met them @ the LOS or behind it tonight? It was literally almost every play. Someone coming free and just missing the tackle.

People can blame Morris, Stafford, and McVay all they want. This game was lost in the trenches and piss poor tacking. End of story.

When you play a bending soft
defense, your players mentality becomes soft leading to missed tackles, etc. We need an aggressive defense. This defense bends, bends, and then breaks too often in crucial situations.

You have a 7 point lead at home, other team on the ropes with no timeouts and 88 yards to go. With only 1 minute 20 seconds to go
The offense did its job at that point for sure.
Gassed? Why wasnt San Fran D gassed when the Rams had the ball all 1st half?
Sorry, but a championship team shuts the door
Cute second guessing there. Rams throw the ball on 3rd and 7 incomplete and all the Monday morning qb's are saying they needed to run the ball

Bullshit. They drop back, throw the ball, it's incomplete. They punt anyways, and all that's happened is the Niners get the ball with 1 timeout instead of 0.

oooOooOooOOOOOooo, it saves Jimmy GQ from having to spike the ball one time. So huge. Insurmountable.

Big fucking deal.

If I'm given the option between "game over or game almost over with opposing team having 1 timeout" and "not game over and the other side has no timeouts", I'm going to choose the former every time. It'd be one thing to play that "burn the timeout" game in the 1st half when they weren't moving the ball, but to do it after they had just been smacking you in the face for 28:30? Fuck that. It was a dumb call. It was a dumb call when he made it. It was a dumb call after it happened. It was a dumb call when the game was over. It will always be a dumb call.

He's needs to go for the throat. It would show his team how badly he wants it and would have ended the game if we got a 1st down. He pussied out if you ask me.
Oh i agree 100%. I thought for sure he was going to at least throw a screen or something on that 3rd and 6. ***That play right there is why you trade for Stafford.*** He was money on the previous drive.

McVay doesn't have a killer instinct, IT SEEMS, and rarely makes a move to hold a team down and finish it. End of the first half failure is a good example. Should've run it TWICE in that setup.. and gone for the kill.

He had a sick pick today but I actually think Ramsey has been kinda “meh” these last few weeks too. His body language has sucked too.

the reason mcvay didnt go for the 1st down is because.

1. the oline had been getting blow up all day.
2. the defense should win the game in that situation 95% of the time.

I will oversimplify it
we could not establish the run ( creates the 2nd half effect)
They established the run (creates 2nd half effect)
If that balance changes so does the result

That was like watching an NY Jets or Detroit Lions loss
You fucking said it! Disgusting! Big time teams don’t fold like that-especially with 3 Hall of Famers on defense. Fucking beyond embarrassing. Especially at home. Can’t even defend it.

A sack keeps the clock running.

A first down should win you the game 95% of the time.

Also, not to defend McVay, but Stafford was still kinda gimpy from getting his ankle rolled on the long ball to Kupp. I wonder if that hadn’t of happened if McVay woulda called a deep boot on first or second down.

They couldn't run the ball in the first either. We simply shit the bed throughout the second half.

Honest question: With the 9ers DL getting tons of pressure, how many screens did we throw today? I remember one on a broken play after Stafford escaped pressure. Outside of that, I don't remember another.

As far as Stafford on the deep throws, I think he is still having thumb issues. He had surgery in the Offseason, then hit it on a helmet in Pre-season. Might have hit it again mid-season. (only speculating).

The Offensive line was Terrible today. I think Stafford played well under the circumstances, but Man the 9ers D-Line got a Shit-Ton of pressure.

Didn't like the empty backfield (Shotgun) on the 3rd and one. Hated the lack of Screens, and absolutely hated the give up-run it 3 times and Punt philosophy at the end.

BUT, 14 teams are now 0-0. Nothing matters now but next week. Go Rams.

I agree with you that McVay doesn't seem to have a killer instinct. It seems he takes the passive approach at end of games.

But it's completely fair to question McVay's play calling.. his move at the end of the first half? Every guy on this board groaned when he went empty on that play.
End of the day, 88 yards, no time outs, 1:20 on the clock, leading by 7
No excuse for letting them score
