One question that I would like answered - why did McVay not call time out before the 2 minute warning.

That would have given us at minimum 7 extra seconds and every second counts at the end of a game.
Because if you call a timeout, it allows them to run or pass.

No it's indicative of the negativity all season. The reactions have been over the top. Our wins felt like blow out losses in the GDTs, so those are no fun unless we win by 30, a missed a FG and we "arent good enough" and yeah, the angry mob mentality is really obnoxious and at times laughably short-sighted and comes off like a little spoiled kid crying at the store because he didn't get a candy bar and an action figure.

We have a good, not great team. So when people make our fansite feel like its another 2-14 Spags team, it really makes my skin crawl. So I am venting about what I need to vent about.

I agree with the over dramatic negativity being annoying.. but Phillips defense has been below average the past two seasons..

It's a hard loss to take because of that bogus Matthew's roughing the passer call. If not for that does Seattle come away with a TD, FG, or turn it over on downs? That was a critical call!

I can take this loss because the Rams played, the defense gave the the chance to win, and GZ had the game on him and it just didn't happen.

The sky ain't falling and the Rams still have control. Just take SF down next game and we know Seattle has to come to town.

It was going to be 2nd and 10 after without the roughing call...

Wilson had like a 250 QB rating all night...…. it was a bad call - but its significance is being much overblown.

And yet ranked 7th going into last night and arguably the best defense playing in the last play-offs.

I don't think so because of the "unknown". Wilson was definitely a player...but the possibilities...fumble, tip pass int, sack or a holding penalty. Given that, it's not overblown. It was a bad call!

This really isn't a vent, though I was a little pissy after the game, But the O-line looked much better, Gurley looked pretty good when he had the ball ( I say give him 25 carries next game) I thought Goff looked good as well. As much as it sucks I have to give GZ a break..... he's came through for us so many times, I just don't think it's fair to beat him up about it, because I know he already is himself. Let's also not forget Wilson is a pretty damn good QB, We'll get better. Horns Up!!

In my shitty opinion the Rams don't play Wilson well under Phillips. They have to rush him but they have to remain in control of where they are and keep Wilson in the pocket. Force his mentally slow ass to have to think and make plays within the pocket. Flushing him out of the pocket plays to his strength. Which is sandlot football. His primary skill is buying time until one of his WR's backdoor a DB. That's all they fucking do and I'm so damn sick of hearing about how good that little runt of a QB is.

Fuck the Seahawks and there 12 man cringy bollocks. The Rams set themselves up for the win and didn’t execute. We’ll be stronger for this. This division is ours.

Rewatching as I missed 3/4 of the game. Followed on gamecast but haven't seen it all...

That Wilson-to-Lockett TD is the most ridiculous kind of bull$^&% of all the ridiculous kind of bull$^&% there is...

Last year it felt like majorly of the time things went our way and there was always a player to step up and make a play at a crucial moment. This year is completely opposite.... so far. I seen a lot of good things in last night's game that inspires confidence. I think it's just going to take time for the play to mirror the talent on this team. I'm waiting for the game that the O,D and ST all bring it. In fact I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

I really like getting the TE involved. This game more than any other. It really opened up the offense from that point on. I hope it happenes a lot more. To your point of mcvay tinkering.

I didn't get to watch the game. But I will repeat myself. Defense needs to get better. Goff is no longer an unknown and neither is McVay.

I quoted (below) all the thoughts that aligned with mine. Great input!

I didn't get a chance to watch last Sunday's game (annual golf trip) but I have to imagine last night was light years better.

-X- said it best, I think. It came down to one FG attempt. Throw all the rest out. What do I want from my team? A chance to win the game in the end. They gave me that last night.

A FG kicker who is amongst the best in the game missed one. How many has he made for the team in victory? He gets a bogey from me.

One thing I heard that surprised me (assume it's true):
Up until last night, the Rams hadn't scored any points in the first quarter. If that's true, they need to address that. Last year, they'd get a nice leg up on the opponent and have all the advantages that gives them throughout the game.

I'd also like to see more of Brown. I think he's a darned good back.

I leave Thursday to head out to CA... I'll be at the game Sunday, rooting my favorite team on. This is a bucket thing for me - see the Rams at The Coliseum before I kick.

I was worried after the TB loss. But I saw a very gritty team play a very good game in a stadium that is hard to play in, against a QB that is playing at an extremely high level.

And they nearly stole the sucker.

I still have tons of faith... now let's kick some Whiner-ass.

=========================================================================================

Roughing the passer was key
I somehow feel better after this loss
seemed to gut it out and had a chance to win at the end.
Ain't even mad. Hell of an effort by our offense.
Oh well, let's beat the fuck out of the Whiners next Sunday
winning in Seattle 3 straight years is a tall task.
Comes down to a GZ miss. First time I've said that since we've signed him.
Its still early in the season
Poor jared ..he had a great game
Nothing to vent about
Even a reliable kicker misses one
Rams played hard.
Team played well, we didnt get a call and missed a field goal to win.
Get them in LA.
Gutsy performance, i think.
it took everything for the chickens to beat us...every lucky bounce and bad officiating calls...rare miss by Legatron
49ners game is huge next week.
The anomaly last Sunday was just that.
We lost by 3 inches.
Our defense will get better.
I hate Pete Carroll
When was the last time Greg cost us a game?
They come out of this game, and will head in to the rest of the season mad as hell now!!
we missed a FG we make 9 out of 10 times
The sky ain't falling and the Rams still have control.

I said it was a bad call.. but if people really think it was what won or lost the game then they missed the real game.

That is the only thing I miss about Ogletree

He was awesome as the guy who watches the scrambling QB

Reeder just didn't cut it last night.

Maybe Rapp would have been better.

Goff played great last night

Everett is a beast in the making and that INT was on him

Gurely looked fine and mcvay used him nicely. I dont know what some people are seeing. They expect him to hit a homerun every time he touches the ball?

Defense played well
You all need to do your homework. Up until that last drive Seattle only had 19 offensive plays. We did give up some points but those were all Wilson the guy is just crazy good

Gz choked plain and simple

I think we have to look at kickers this offseasons. We need someone who's automatic. I know hes got a great leg but let's look at him this year.

Two kick offs out of bounds. He missed a bad one in Cleveland and now this one. Hes not consistent. We pay him way too much money to be missing kicks like that.
I have a feeling the kick offs out of bounds is McVays or Bones fault.

I feel like one of them is telling Zuerlein to kick short so we can tackle them inside the 20. He just is not good at that. Just let him kick it out of the end zone all the time.
