people complaint that Mcvay's wasted timeouts lead us to not being able to challenge are wrong by the way.

Unless he gets 4 time outs.

The play happened on 4th down and he had already started burning timeouts with 3:10 - so his timeouts would have been gone after 3rd down even if he hadn't used any.

I don't like blowing timeouts - but not sure anyone can give me a game this year that lack of timeouts had anything to do with winning or losing.

Has it been 24 hours yet? Can we lock yet another bitchfest about attendance that nobody here can either do anything about or apparently understand why it's happening and get over it!

Im sorry, but when a team leaves a market empty for 20 years and the market itself is full of people from somewhere else, this is what you get. Never mind the fact that a large percentage of the people from somewhere else are from countries that dont give a shit about football. This will not change unless the rams have a very long run of great success and are here for decades.
If this was that important, the Rams would not have been to 2 SB and won one.

Just so we are clear. I am a huge ram fan. I by gear and watch every game. But if I had season tickets i would gouge the fuck out of steeler fans, philly fans and especialy Frisco fans.

Lord knows they can use Rams fans there
The finger pointing is consistent blaming it on Rams fans that sell their seats.

I blame it squarely on the fans that do not buy them.

Why don't they? Can't be price. Visiting teams are ponying up the bucks. And plenty of tickets sell for under a hundred bucks.

Once a year I flew half-way across the country to see the Rams play in the Doom after they left LA. I do not get free airline tickets for those that make one of many assumptions on this attendance issue.

I fly into about half the home games for which I have season tickets and paid dearly for the SSL's for the right to those seats. I purchase those airline tickets as well. More than a few of us Rams fans are on those flights. I fly in from the Bay area and there are always more Whiner fans for those games that are on those flights. They all paid the price. I am required to purchase the season tickets, in advance, for those seats. Many thousands of dollars. I sell those I do not attend. Is it not fair to put a fair market price for the tickets I do not use? Does a fan really fool themselves in thinking that they would not when they are not in the same position? I have given some away as well.

There is irrational knee jerk reaction that somehow one can control who securely can sell to Rams fans only. Nothing of the sort exists.

I emphasize "securely". I would recommend no one buy from a random private party. No matter how safe it feels, it only takes once to never do that again. It happens every week at our home games. Ticket exchanges are the only "secure" method for the transaction. And none exist for team only specific transactions. And those exchanges charge fees. I will lose money this year on my seats.

I understand the frustration but it is not why the Rams lost yesterday. I wish the crowd was all Rams fans more than those that go on an anonymous forum as this without putting the effort into going to games. Sitting on a couch being a hypocrite does not change a thing.

The only reason the crowd is the way it is because the opposing teams want those seats more. More than those bitching on this forum about the situation.

Thats all I want to say about that.

GO RAMS!!!

It is on my bucket list but losing my job will probably take me awhile to be able to afford going there
Sorry to hear that.

It was on mine as well and, three weeks ago - against the Eagles - I was able to make it happen! The stadium does not disappoint. Very well laid out and easy to navigate.

There is one serious, sad truth about going to an NFL game today:
It's EXPENSIVE!!!

Our seats were at about the 30 yard line and on level 7 (the highest level up). And they were still over $350 apiece!!

I don't know what it costs for season tickets at SoFi, but it has to be CRAZY expensive.

I live in Dallas and a couple of friends of mine have Cowboys season tickets. Also, very expensive... but probably nowhere Rams season tickets.

They pick out the three games where they know the opponent's fans travel well and sell them on the secondary market. Those three games pay for their entire season ticket cost.

Does that make them "bad" fans? Not to me... not when the cost of season tickets are in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Fact is... these ticket prices are outrageous.

The only "true" fans are the ones that can afford to lay out the tens of thousands of dollars and go to every game.

Know what we call them? These "True" fans? Millionaires.

There were more Philly fans at the game I attended... and by a good margin. Some Rams season ticket holder saw that game on the calendar and circled it for sale. And, it probably paid for a good chunk of the total cost of the season.

Want to blame someone? Blame the NFL and it's owners. Greedy people that they are. And the King of Greed? You guessed it - good old Stan The Man.

Good news is... he got his Championship. Bad news is.. he screwed the people of St. Louis doing it and is pick-pocketing every Rams fan in L.A.

Point is acting like McVay is squandering some great talent in Higs is ridiculous. I think we need to stay out of fantasy land in our venting to some extent.
No, not a star. You're absolutely right about that. But he is a guy if properly utilized can be more than an after-thought.

Yeah - look at the Dodgers and Lakers - they definitely have home town fans at their games

Rams may have to wait awhile to be like the Dodgers and Lakers

But you better go to the playoff game at SOFI or I will curse your name just like I did the other guy who sold his seats against SF on this forum.

not that i want to engage in this argument.. but one of the reason the rams left was because no one was going to the games.

However i still prefer the team to be in LA eventhough I'm from the midwest.

It's better for many reasons.

Sounds like some people hope/expect that we should be seeing the Coliseum circa 1975 when the Rams were the only pro football team in town.

Life changed for good in terms of diluting the market when they went to Anaheim and the Raiders first moved in.

Sorry to hear that.
Yeah I am being laid off due to being too old and making too much at my current position. Unfortunately VA is a right to work state and I do not have any legal ways to deal with it.

So sorry brother.

I am being forced out in a couple of years and not allowed to work for any airline. Per federal law.

It is what it is but I know it sucks.

My company that I used to work for hired a permanent pilot and would go to the Carribean once in awhile and other locations.

He would be required to stay at that location until the owner left the place.

So basically a free vacation for a day or two.

Great to see you posting!!!
Thanks! Been a long time, eh? LOL

Getting up there in age now... funny... some of the passion just isn't there like it used to be. That, and lots of distractions. Five grown kids and three grandkids now. Still love my Rams - watch them every week and went to that game a few weeks ago. Just that the wins don't give the same highs and the losses don't hit me as hard. Like I said, old age LOL.

Hope all is well with you. I was up there on The Shore (Mantoloking) in July for a week.

Sorry, NOT true. There is a real reason behind this metric that makes the comparison apples to oranges.

I had season tickets back in Anaheim and there were LOTS of fans there and in LA for decades prior. Towards the end, attendance fell off the cliff because Georgia (and Shaw) made horrible moves in order to get the Ram attendance down so she could move the team to her hometown. That doesn't do a lot for fan loyalty and creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. Watch Major League, that whole plot was based on her.

When she finally hit the league minimum attendance so she could leave, the other owners STILL voted her down, and she had to pony up a huge bribe to each owner for approval to move back "home".

Unfortunately, we still have a decade+ of this home team issue at a minimum. We'll never be like the Dodgers or Lakers, but to get back to Rosenbloom days would be grand!

I don't know if he would have used the 3rd time out since he still would have the two minute warning and a time out to be used if he got the ball back on that 4th down play. However, we will never know if he would have or would not have.

Surely you can’t compare the Dodgers and the Lakers to the Rams. The amount of home games surely keeps the cost down in baseball and basketball? I could be wrong though.
