Rams are still fine. We just lost to a SB favorite. Only the Lions are better. Win in New Orleans, picture will become much better.
Green Bay, Detroit, and Philly are head and shoulders better than us. We aren’t close to competing with them right now. Maybe when Rob comes back things will look different.

This is the game that showcases that we need an upgrade at RB I been saying.

Gurley
Dickerson
Jackson
Faulk

All except the elite Faulk where bigger backs on our Mount Rushmore of Running Backs. We need a RB like Raheim Sanders this coming draft. Big, elusive, receiving, blocking, home run ability and probably won't be in the first two rounds.

The idea that Kyren is elite is laughable.

Kyren cant do much if the entire o'line gets thier shit pushed in every play.

My idea isn’t about size, or necessarily a knock on Kyren. He could be an elite RB 2 (like Montgomery). But realistically, he doesn’t scare anyone. He looks like he’s running in sand. Give me someone with a second gear, so when they get to the second level they can take it home.

Kyren does a lot of things good, but I can’t say he does anything truly great.

We played Detroit close.... green bay is nowhere close to the level of Detroit and Philly.

Defense will be better next year, but offense needs a refresh on scheme more than a talent refresh.
Just need blocking. All the oline injuries since the beginning of training camp has sabotaged the offense. That and the Noteboom contract.

.

Some of the worst "blocking" I have seen.

Meanwhile hurts got nice and comfortable. And was allowed to run.

Game over.

lets not forget to mention our kicker who looks shakey as fuck.
Yeah seriously we might as well for it unless it’s a 35 yarder or less. He’s got no confidence, and what the hell—we got nothing to lose.

I think there is a very real chance this team goes full rebuild and Stafford, McVay, and Kupp are all on different rosters next year.

This team is not close. McVay isn’t gonna want to stick around for a full rebuild. They might as well blow the whole thing up. Stafford is still really good but if we can’t keep him upright than there is no point in paying him that kinda bread.
I think McVay stays.

Kyren is a scheme back, nothing more. He benefits from the scheme McVay employs, as you say, he doesn’t do anything great. That’s because he’s not an elite back, and only a fan with fan glasses on could say that he is.

Yeah I think it’s pretty safe to assume the guy that was contemplating retirement after winning the Super Bowl would also consider a change of scenery if he thinks things have run their course in LA.

I just never thought McVay was a lifer with this organization. I’ve always thought Snead would outlast him. Maybe I’m wrong, but if McVay thinks this team has no shot at a deep playoff run next year, I think he bounces.
The Rams are in the midst of a rebuild with the defense. McVay is on record as saying that drafting and teaching the youth has re-energized him after he contemplated retirememt. There is zero evidence he'd leave if they rebuilt the offense like they have the defense.

Not so sure about that. Look how Saquon is now. He was in the same situation as Kyren is now. Henry too. Look at the diffrence of them behind great o'lines and bad o'lines!
And u gotta take in account it’s harder because hurts a threat to same reason Henry work so well in Baltimore

Therein lies the rub. Not having Havs killed us, and we've been fucked with injuries all season long on the OL, preventing us from getting the continuity we really need. That really showed up big tonight. I can't blame anyone for that, other than Lady Luck ... that baby door.

OTOH, I'm getting sick of Kyren putting the ball on the ground. I appreciate that he does what he does with the limited athleticism he's been given, but putting the ball on the carpet is unforgivable - especially at a point in the game when it could have given us some early momentum. Really tired of seeing Corum sitting on the sideline. He needs to get more carries, especially if ball security is going to be an issue with Williams.

Oh, about Karty ... next time we have a kicker like Matt Gay who's a FA, can we just go ahead and fucking pay him? Total penny-wise, pound-foolish move to let him walk because we have been screwed at the position ever since. Karty has had some inexcusable misses lately.

Fuck the refs. Also, fuck Siriani for going for it on 4th when he did, low class POS.

I hope so. I really do. But I used to think he would stay because the roster would be in a really good situation and Stafford would’ve just aged out. And it would just be time for a new QB. And the train would keep on moving.

But almost the opposite has happened. He’s got an old QB still playing at a high level, but the roster currently isn’t there to support him. Some really nice pieces here and there, but not enough. If Snead comes to McVay and says “we’ve really gotta blow this up and go full rebuild to be competitive long term”, does McVay stick around? I don’t think he does.

The scheme is fine. They need an offensive line that can do what McVay wants. This o line can’t protect. Which is a big deal when the QB is 36.

Isn’t that the plight of every coach? “If I can just find players that can do it the way I want”. Yeah that’s always part of it. Another part is innovation. Making chicken salad out of chicken shit, if you will. But there’s none of that. Our offense is literally “fuck it, Stafford will make a play” and that’s it.

Our passing game doesn’t scare nobody either

Agreed but his fumbling is out of control. A play or two earlier, if he has speed, it's a TD. Instead he is caught from behind. I agree we need more juice at RB. But hoping for another Dickerson/Faulk/Gurley is likely a fool's errand. Those are all HOF level talents.
Or shit maybe WE could have signed Saquon 303 yards Barkley instead of the 4th Jonas (Jackson) and the 6’7” third string Seahawk TE this past offseason?!
