Certainly looks it. Makes sense. They have UAB and soccer playing on that field, so they need to switch it up fairly quickly. That stadium looks like a turf field. If so, should be good for multiple games, right?
Weather Cancellation!
Bandits v Maulers postponed until tomorrow (Monday).
This sucks. How bad could the weather be?
I would definitely go to that and I don't really care about the USFL. That's economical entertainment defined. Cheers! Have fun.I am going to the 2 Saturday games next week. $25 per ticket, 50 Yard line-ish- and you get to go to both Games. My wife and I are pretty excited. We live in Atlanta, so B-ham is only about a 2.5 hour drive.
Glad I can watch this one now. Curious to see what Haley can do with QB Ta'amuWeather Cancellation!

Jeff Fisher is a Joke....I just feel he's lost his fast ball and that was obvious towards the end. He couldn't hire a viable Offensive Coordinator and couldn't get the team even close to being competitive on the offensive side of the ball. Many will thank him for improving the talent, but Kroenke paid him enough and Fisher did not deliver. Good Riddance and turn your damn hat around.Just watched highlights of Jeff Fisher's first game back.... offensive highlights looked verrrrrrrry familiar. Personal fouls turning over scoring plays. Teammates fighting each other on the sideline. Just a damn montage of ptsd inducing awfulness for Rams fans.
All the games are played in a Birmingham hub. The only game I've seen with a real crowd was when Birmingham played. They got about 3 million people watching that game on TV total with a simulcast on NBC and FOX.I turned on one game and there was no one in the stands. At first I wondered if it was a replay of a preseason game then I realized that I never saw a USFL preseason game on TV.
Its nice to have football but so far they aren't getting off to a very good start. I will be interested in the TV ratings.

That was pretty cool. Didn’t enjoy the quality of play, but there are some good takeaways.Having so many players with mics makes it sound like a video game with all those pads crashing against each other.
Yeah, I tend to be looking more at the presentation side of these games. The drone cams could use some work, but I think they have two of those skywire cam things too. The helmet cams have never worked for me going all the way back to the World League of American Football. Now, the quality of play is probably suffering due to that NFL Alumni agreement they have with the XFL now. It'll be interesting to see how the quality plays out with that league when it starts back up next year. That was pretty cool. Didn’t enjoy the quality of play, but there are some good takeaways.
Sure, this league will eventually fold, but we’ll also probably see the NFL adopt some of these things the USFL is doing, like the aerial cameras on the wires the league adopted from the first iteration (or was it from the XFL?). Also, hopefully a few players can get noticed and signed by an NFL team somewhere down the line.
