The best way to keep RW from putting up points is to keep him on the sideline while running the clock. If we can limit his time on the field he will feel more pressure to score when he is on the field. I would be fine with 20 pass attempts if it means we are running the ball for around 5 yards a carry and dont need to pass the ball. I would love to see the 2 young RBs bust off some long runs and take it to the house, but only if our D is rested, so they can be fresh to harass RW all day long.
I agree with keeping RW on the sidelines but we also need to put up points and build a 10+ point lead or all RW needs is <5 mins in the 4th quarter.

All I ask for is when Donald grabs the Chi Pet and swings him around like a little kid, he lets go just to see how much air time his body can get.

All good points, but what be noted is the Seahawks average 34+ ppg which is 10 more than the Rams.
But they've given up 36 ppg in the last 3 games, 30.4 on the season....
Is Ken Norton fired yet?
Man, Hawks giving up 365 yards passing per game?

Seattle has the 4th ranked rush defense in the NFL and last in passing. Don’t see your scenario playing out. We will be passing the ball and why not-Goff should be able to shred that secondary.

Starting to wonder if Seattle might stack the secondary with nickel/dime looks and force McVay to beat them with the run. Wouldn't that just set this board off lmao. :ROFLMAO:

If that happens though I think the Rams check into run and mash. Which would be cool too, shortening the game on the Seahawks' offense and all.

On paper it doesn't look like it will matter what they do on defense they're that bad. But then we know this is a division game and they're in 1st place with us coming off a bye. It's likely to be their best defensive effort of the year. Just something else to vent about around here :D

Really need to see a quality passing game this week.
I believe in Sean to call it and Jared to execute it.

I believe our D will give the Hags their biggest challenge yet.

I wouldn't want to be the team facing McVays Rams after 2 weeks and a gut check.

You ever think their rush defense is ranked so high because their pass D is so bad it makes more sense to throw the ball ? Kinda like the 99 Rams D. They got up early so often other teams had to throw to play catch up. 99 Rams D was not that great, but stats said they were.

Yes and no, they are only giving up 3.7 ypc which is pretty good.

Not just threads on this board, I live in Seattle and local coverage is ALL about the Rams O vs the Seahags beleaguered defense. Not ONE MENTION of the Rams D being able to nerf the Sea-skanks.

I believe this is a statement game for our D. Hold the Sea-schmucks to 17 or under (1/2 their avg), and people will finally take notice of where we stand on that side of the ball. We are very impressive on D, especially when aggressive, which is the secret sauce is beating RW (just ask Fisher)...

Also, all the chatter is about how RW always has amazing games after a loss or a bad game (which he clearly had statistically this week with his INTs). What they are failing to point out is the Rams record after losses, and after a bye week.

THIS IS SETTING UP TO BE THE GAME OF THE YEAR (at least for the NFC West). Is it Sunday yet?

I think the Rams D can use this... all year long. The defense is under the radar... go out and smack Wilson around!

Carlos Hyde, Chris Carson have chance to return this week for Seahawks

After missing each of the team’s last two games due to injuries, the Seahawks could see the return of Carlos Hyde and Chris Carson for this week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Head coach Pete Carroll indicated on Monday that Hyde might be slightly ahead of Carson in his chances to play this week, but both are expected to practice and see if they can find a way back into the lineup.

“Carlos will be working this week to try to get back, so we’ll see what that means on Wednesday, Thursday, but he is running and he is working with the thought that if he can make through the week that he could,” Carroll said. “Chris in the same boat really. I got an update just now that he’s got a chance, and we’ll have to see how he tolerates the work—he’s already out running and working on is cutting and stuff like that, so that’s a good statement going into Wednesday, and we’ll see how that works. I had hoped that we would get a look at him last week on Friday, that’s what we had planned to do, it just didn’t work out. So we’ll see as we’re going, it’s encouraging though.”

Hyde pulled a hamstring late in the team’s overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Carson left that game in the second quarter due to a mid-foot sprain. Seattle has turned to DeeJay Dallas, Travis Homer and former fifth-round pick Alex Collins at running back in their absence over the last two weeks. Rashaad Penny remains on the physically unable to perform list as he works back from a torn ACL last December.

An injury along the defensive line could also lead to Damon “Snacks” Harrison getting his first chance to play with the team next weekend.

Nose tackle Bryan Mone was one of three players to sustain ankle sprains in the loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, While linebacker K.J. Wright and cornerback D.J. Reed bounced back from the injuries, Mone is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that could sideline him.

“Bryan Mone had a pretty good high ankle sprain, and it’s going be a problem for him,” Carroll said. “We’ll see what happens in the next couple days, but that was probably the most serious injury that we had—he got caught up and got cut from behind and tangled up.”

The former All-Pro defensive tackle has been on the team’s practice squad for the last month but has not been called up for a game yet.

“He’s available, he’s ready to go,” Carroll said. “The way it looks—we’ve got to have some more information on Bryan’s situation so we can take care of him—but this is where Snacks would jump up right now. This is what he’s been looking for and preparing for.”
