Looking forward to the annual Olympic games disk throw from Apollo Donald and his magic green disk.

It would also be nice if Ramsey knocked DK out.

Knocked him out? Please don't say stuff like that. It's bad karma and I don't want to be known as the fanbase that wishes injuries on other players

As this weekend proved there is no team on the schedule that the Rams can't beat. It also, validates the perception that the Rams do indeed hold their own destiny in their hands. As long as they simply play clean games, IMO they outmatch in terms of talent any team left on their schedule.

Can they run the table? IMO absolutetly. Will they? Probably not as this team is still growing and as such they are at times their own worst enemy. One thing however, I think Goff needed this bye week and should come out of it ready to play his best ball. That said, I am assuming of course that the coaching staff has taken care of business during the bye.

Fuller and Burgess proved they are the real deal. Lewis is flashing, and Hill to his credit is playing his best games of his career. Is it enough to keep him? Probably not but that said he would hold very good trade value. Why do I say this? Because IMO the Rams have too many other people in more crucial positions to re-sign and the market for CBs is always outrageous.

This team is a contender, but it simply must play to their potential. McVay must tweak his offense to provide a quicker passing game. That will in turn provide benefits in the vertical passing game. Henderson, Akers and Brown have shown they can be lethal when properly used. The only thing lacking in this run attack is a true FB.

So what does this mean about the SeaHawks game? It means there is no reason they can't dominate this game. Their defense is a shell of their former self. Run the ball and control the clock. Limit Wilson's possessions. They have very good WRs and TE's but are hurting at RB. They are a one-dimensional team. Unless they can start getting their RBs back the Rams should sweep them.

The Cards are a far more balanced team. They have a decent defense, 2 good WRs and a decent TE. Murray is good but he's no Wilson or Mahomes. Press him play tight coverage and he will turn the ball over.

The key with both the Cards and the Hawks is to control the clock. McVay needs to quit outsmarting himself. If the run game is working then he needs to be prepared to ride that horse until they stop it. His pathological need to have a perfectly balanced game is part of the problem. One bad run and he goes away from it. His offense is getting stale and he needs to rethink it.

Staley needs to stay aggressive. Bonamego, needs to really work with his guys. If there is a real weakness IMO it's on STs. Time to gear up for that Super Bowl run. It starts next weekend.

Everything in the division is still on the table - this match up favors us. However in the NFL you never know.

shit the Cowboys almost beat the Steelers.

Agree with everything but Hill. He's a UFA next year and the trade deadline has passed @oldnotdead

Unlikely we find dollars to keep him and I hope he gets a modest payday next year (~~$8M/yr), he deserves it!

All good points, but what be noted is the Seahawks average 34+ ppg which is 10 more than the Rams.

It will come down to the Rams D against their top WRs and containing RW from taking off. Murray had over 100 yards alone yesterday. RW can do the same so please focus on the rush.

Most of the threads concentrated on our Offense I feel if we are going to win we must stop them on Defense.

We can't wish Seahawks players will get knocked out?
What's next, giving them credit when its due?

Do I want them actually injured? No. Do I wish ill will or bad health towards them? No.
But football is a violent sport and they will be all too happy to knock our guys out so yeah, I say screw the Seahawks, GO RAMS,
KAMFO!

And when you go against the worst pass defense in the NFL and one of the worst defenses in recent memory you take advantage of that. Cam Newton threw for almost 400 yards against them for crying out loud.
Exactly. And what fans tend to overlook is pre-snap reads and their importance for how the Rams adjust at the line. Seattle will probably load up vs the run all week in practice and make that their rallying cry in this game. The Rams will throw the ball when they see a loaded box plain and simple. If they run into loaded boxes vs Seattle then they risk getting blown out because Seattle's got the kind of offense that can hang three TDs on you in a five minute stretch even after you've kept them down so three and outs by our offense will be more dangerous than usual.

Their secondary is shitty and will keep them from doing what Miami did, but that doesn't mean the Rams can disregard the basics. Running into loaded fronts is poor offensive coordination.

IMO the Rams will move the ball well on offense with good balance in this game, and Goff will get in rhythm early. Hopefully our defense can contain Wilson and that attack but I figure we're looking at a high scoring game (for us). Defense will probably give up some points in this one.

A win over the Seahawks would put the Rams in the driver’s seat

The Rams may have been on a bye this week, but that didn’t stop them from watching their standing in the NFC West rise after the Seahawks, Cardinals, and 49ers all lost in Week 9. As things stand, the Rams and Cardinals are both 5-3 but the Rams remain behind them due to a 0-1 record in the division while Arizona is still 2-0. The Seahawks — whom the Rams play this week at home — are in first with a 6-2 record, but are 1-1 in the NFC West.

If the Rams are able to take down the Seahawks this week, coupled with a Cardinals loss to the Bills, the Rams would be thrusted into first place with a 6-3 overall record and a 1-1 division record, which would be tied with Seattle. It’s a tall order, don’t get me wrong, but it’s well within the realm of possibilities for this team.
And now for today’s links.

Agree. That Wussel makes plays and the Seahawks can score quickly. Our secondary is built to shutdown guys like MetCalf, time to go do it.

Not just threads on this board, I live in Seattle and local coverage is ALL about the Rams O vs the Seahags beleaguered defense. Not ONE MENTION of the Rams D being able to nerf the Sea-skanks.

I believe this is a statement game for our D. Hold the Sea-schmucks to 17 or under (1/2 their avg), and people will finally take notice of where we stand on that side of the ball. We are very impressive on D, especially when aggressive, which is the secret sauce is beating RW (just ask Fisher)...

Also, all the chatter is about how RW always has amazing games after a loss or a bad game (which he clearly had statistically this week with his INTs). What they are failing to point out is the Rams record after losses, and after a bye week.

THIS IS SETTING UP TO BE THE GAME OF THE YEAR (at least for the NFC West). Is it Sunday yet?

Good. I was worried we might get relegated to CBS and get Romo telling me the basics of football in a condescending way.

The best way to keep RW from putting up points is to keep him on the sideline while running the clock. If we can limit his time on the field he will feel more pressure to score when he is on the field. I would be fine with 20 pass attempts if it means we are running the ball for around 5 yards a carry and dont need to pass the ball. I would love to see the 2 young RBs bust off some long runs and take it to the house, but only if our D is rested, so they can be fresh to harass RW all day long.
