That is some funny shit. Obama had two terms to admit this shit was real. And he cracked jokes about it. Had the entire Biden term with his hand up Biden's ass like a puppet to admit it, and didn't bother. Now he's reading the tea leaves and knows that the other side is heading to a disclosure (rumors are this summer on the birthday of Roswell) so he finally opens his mouth.

What a dickhead. Seriously man. Fucking politicians.

But honestly it's probably better to see it happen this way, in a gradual sense. So people can get used to the idea. It would be really cool if it could happen without any stock market crashes or rioting or madness. I mean it's possible I suppose. I just don't have a whole lot of faith in humanity at the moment. :laugh4:

Agreed with you on that point, man. The older I get, the more I think humans are full of shit. Too many of us, anyway. Our history is pretty bad.

Regarding Obama-- I think it's too soon to take any conclusions from that little interview clip. I honestly hope somebody follows up and asks him thorough questions so he can explain better what he meant.

It MIGHT be that he's expressing his own personal opinion that he thinks we've been visited by aliens, but he can't claim that he's seen DEFINITIVE proof of it. Again, I'd like to hear him explain it more thoroughly.

I've seen previous clips of him implying something to the effect, "yeah we have a lot of videos that just don't seem explainable."

Sounds like he's still claiming that he's not aware of any government agency that has proof of alien life. That's how I interpreted his joking demeanor and the "not in Area 51" comments, anyway.

EDIT: Just now saw Obama's comments clarifying what he meant. It's there in the comments below the Reels section. Obama's clarification:

I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it's gotten attention let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there's life out there. Well love or hate him he is intelligent. I don't read him as the kind of dude who says things without thought. He's too smart for that, I think he understands that what he says has impact.

But don't want to make this about Obama. I just find the timing of it very funny, seeing how there's so many rumors going that they're planning a Roswell birthday speech (8th July).

Hope we get to hear the truth though. Seems like it's the right time to do it. Though it'll probably be a speech about swamp gas. :laugh2:

Images taken by the Mars rover, the latest being a few days ago in a region where there are foundation-type wall remains worn by time and weather on the ground. Looks like a different ship in the hull ratio to the disk, but both are clear images taken of a sky where there should be nothing flying around. Let alone disks with no flight surfaces.

Just a guess, but I would imagine that alien species who are old enough with sufficient technology would inevitably possess the ability to deliver payloads thorough bent space (wormholes). Thus obviating the need for delivery systems like bombers.

This is why I had to laugh when reading the accounts of some of the older leaders in their mentality towards aliens and stocking of extra nukes to deter them from settling our planet. If they are hostile then nothing we do is going to matter. They can make McNuggets out of us if they want. Of course we'll still fight because nobody wants to die like a coward. But I really hope they're some form of benevolent.

The universe is too vast to pretend like life doesn’t exist outside of us. Whether that’s microbial, plants, insects, animals of other forms or whatever. Whether that life is intelligent on our scales is a huge matter of debate.

And if they are, any alien race is going to face the same exact problems we have with physics when it comes to constructing an FTL engine that would make visiting us possible. The odds that another intelligent race has developed AND that they’ve also solved all the issues associated with interstellar travel, starting with generating enough energy to power an engine capable of even relativistic speeds, let alone light or faster than light, are beyond mathematical comprehension.

Those are very very good points:

But we have to keep in mind that an intelligent life may not be as barbaric, and in general not as stupid / greedy as the earthling majority, basically a civilization that gets dumber and greedier every day.

We have to consider there are intelligent life forms that work together for a civilized / unified cause that may allow them to have multiple technological breakthroughs on a regular basis that don't involve or come from war (like our planet).

What's is going to need to happen on Earth is for it to go through a complete transformation, basically a one world government that is based on sharing ideas that is designed only to better / move the planet and its occupants forward. We are so far from that and we get further from it every day.

I would dare to say on a scale from 0 to 10 on how the universe may judge a collective civilization, we are at about a 0.5...... Basically we suck.... lol

Technological advances have the ability to change the rules of the game. Just because the almighty humans don't have the ability to travel by bending space, or because we have not yet figured that out, does not mean it is beyond mathematical comprehension. That is a typically egotistical human take, and sadly one which seems to consistently be embraced by mainstream science. But mainstream science is often wrong. Just take a good hard look at history, it's a long list.
 
Meh. I'm not buying the idea that we have been and are being visited by some intelligent life force from another planet. Nothing about the idea really adds up unless you REALLY accommodate the idea with so many excuses it finally makes sense if ALL excuses hold true. I don't however, doubt there is other life out there - possibly even intelligent life.
