Rams are now the team of envy. Somehow, hitting on many quality draft picks that make a difference for the franchise and a quick turn around when losing good players to free agency and retirement.
Plus flat out releasing players so they can prolong there careers somewhere else.

—You look at the track record & the players that have been Rams under Les Snead !! Sean Mcvay adds the other elements.

*your post sounds good in general, but looking deeper The Rams really were successful this season & continue to believe in there process.

—Just me as a Rams Fan(GM) Draftnik Fan who enjoys the development of players who almost Always Drinks the Kool-Aide looks at things differently & as a whole.

—I’ll stop at that for the most part— continue down below.

Yes this Bryon Young story is awesome & my friend is a Bears Fan!! I loved the story & the players as a draftnik.

Young IMO was a 1st. Rd. Talent & a PLAYER I circle!!! Les Snead is so AWESOME & Thorough. He finds these players & circles players values in the draft.(can go on about it)

My friend said DA BEARS draft that kid out of Tennessee & he was stocked.Thought he had the most talent in the draft.I think the Beats could have had the OT from(I believe) Northwestern?

I told him he wasn’t the best player on the team & I really liked Bryon Young there DE.

Well interesting enough is that there were 2 Byron Young’s in the Draft. No one knew who was drafted 2 or 4 picks before The Rams at 70 by LV Raiders Byron Young.(BAMA)
Once the smoke cleared I was STOKED!! At 77 The Rams selected Byron Young (Tennessee)

Just to add Byrne Young Alabama was The Number 1 pick.

Going back to my original post is RAN FANS(most) can stink!!

My point is watching the Draft(s) this season Ram Dans talk way to much crap(you tube) these want to be Writers.

Stinson Bennett is a Ram who knows about, but is one of the players The Rams we’re high on.Jyst because he wasn’t successful & had bad luck in his life get way to down on Players.

Kendrick is another example.Bryon Young has done everything RIGHT,but he is even an example of how Fast FANS turn on there players.

Kobie Turner is a Player that’s not getting enough credit either.
He was drafted at 89 - 12 slots after Byron Young & his production as a DT(rookie) IMO is unreal.Dude goes sideline to sideline like no one else.
(Why did the Steelers leave AD99 singled up) I just think he brings another element The Rams haven’t had since AD99.

-The coaching staff has to be given a lot of credit.Raheem has put a good group together, but Eric Henderson was a Ram before he got here & he’s real hands on & ONE of The BEST!!

I guess I’m the wet blanket here when it comes to our rookie punter, Mr Evans. I like the kid and see so much potential, but he desperately needs someone to work with him. He’s not flipping the field like he should/could if he had more finesse.

What has been underscored regarding the Rams struggles this season is the their TOP. They are generally good, and it goes hand in hand with their low pct. of 3 and outs. The problem is 2-3 first downs when you’re starting at/behind your own 20 barely gets you to midfield before you have to punt or worse, you have a kicker who struggles with kicks over 50 yds. This is what the Rams should be doing to other teams. Evans has the leg, he just needs to control it.

Out kicking coverage or lack of hang time, I dunno, but there have been too many decent returns given up. There have also been some missed opportunities to pin a team deep. Last game, for example, Evans booted a 68 yard kick into the end zone. Net 48. A 60 yarder would have been a helluva lot better. I/we were fortunate to have seen Johnny Hekker literally win games or keep the Rams in them, despite no serious offense. Evans could be something similar, but he’s got a ways to go.

In general, the STs have been lousy. I don’t know much about our STs coach, but I’m not impressed. Nearly halfway through the season and the kick coverage is shit, FG unit is shit, punter is kicking the crap out of the ball over the field without any real strategy, and there is absolutely no return game. When you have so much young, raw, talent, coaching matters. He’s not getting it done IMO.

…but I do agree on the other players you mentioned. Those guys are doing a great job. You can already see they are legit pros.
He has a better average, net and percentage inside the 20 than Hekker did as a rookie.

AND… he’s aces on kickoffs.

Well then, I guess it’s just shitty coverage. After today’s game it’s even clearer the bigger issue is rotten STs all the way around. It’s obvious when you see a Bones coached unit on the other sideline doing it right.

Young and Turner had monster games.. Nacua and Avila were fine.. hard to judge with that QB.

What could have been..... If the Rams had nailed the backup QB pick, we'd be celebrating this class even more today. Unfortunately, they missed.

I thought it was Avila’s worst game.

Nice to see Davis Allen make a nice grab. Rams have a keeper there, for sure. He's just gonna keep growing.
Avila kicked ass for the most part.
Young was very solid.
Kobie Turner... wow!! He's turning into possibly the greatest value of this draft.. that's including Puka. A penetrating defensive lineman like that who's also strong as hell? Sheesh!!!
Puka was quiet, but made plays.
Tomlinson got some run. Wasn't good.. but let's hope they can get more reps for him in coming weeks to see what he's got.
Saw Mathis on the field.. didn't see him do anything.
Ethan Evans wasn't busy, lol.
Desjuan Johnson had a sack!!!! wooooo!!
Zach Evans got a carry.

What a crazy, crazy draft class.

Kobie seems kind of like a poor-man's Aaron Donald, and I don't mean that in a bad way, just that I don't think his ceiling is in prime AD territory. But he is proving to be a very disruptive, penetrating interior DL like AD is. And as a bonus, he gets to learn from AD.

But whose ceiling is AD? I don't mean that sarcastically.. agreeing with your take.

He's just soooooo good. And Bobby Brown, Williams and DJ were all solid today as well.

But.. Turner is a DUDE.

I want to give a shoutout to the 22 class here as well.. for not having a pick until the third.. they're doing pretty good.

Russ Yeast had a nice game.
Quentin Lake looked real nice last week but got dinged up.
Derion Kendrick looks like.. maybe.... mayyyyyyybe.. he's turned a corner. If he can significantly reduce the penalties, he'll be a solid player.
Cobie Durant played today.
Kyren effing Williams!!!!! Nuff said!!

Bummer Logan Bruss was hurt/bust.

What a crazy, crazy draft class.
It keeps looking better. I would love to know what changed in these last two classes with draft philosophy. It cannot just be identifying leadership qualities.

I’ll be very interested to see if it continues. If Snead keeps hitting on the picks this will be really fun.

Still looking great. Puka, Turner, Avila, Young, and punter Evans all looking to have those starting positions down for the foreseeable future. Desjuan Johnson got a sack. Mathis was in a few plays and his speed sure looks good. Tomlinson plays like I was afraid he would... too small and gets penalties trying to fight for position. Hopefully experience will get him in less compromising positions. Overall, still a homerun draft.

Tomlinson is a cocky bastard which is fine by me. You need that as a corner. Just clean it up.

With more playing time he should become more disciplined, I'll tell you this he looks awful sticky.

The boy can play, no doubt. Excellent ball awareness too. And it's not like he was facing scrubs at TCU. It was good to see him out there.
