I've like Turner since his pick was announced. Can you imagine if he hits the weight room a-la Donald, what a complete monster this guy will be? He would be a worthy successor to AD.

I've loved the Young pick as well. I posted how he has Von Miller like upsides. After seeing him play I'm even more excited. He needs to improve his technique and I have no doubt he will and the Rams will have a 12-14 sack edge. They just need to grab a complimentary edge next year for the other side.

The only position that the jury is still out on is NT.

After 3 weeks.. Still looking like an amazing class.

Puka.. a "quiet" game.. 5 catches 72 yards.
Kobie Turner.. just a badass.
Steve Avila.. bad game from Oline, but he still had his moments. His upside is a future Pro Bowler.
Evans is a top 10 punter (and rising) and crushes kickoffs.

Byron Young. I need to take a second here to focus on Young.. he's exceeding expectations, at least through three weeks.
If the tweet doesn't populate.. he's leading rookie Edges in Sacks, QB hits and pressures. If he can keep up his pace, he would exceed 10 sacks as a rookie. That would be pretty incredible.

All this.. and we have multiple other rookies that we're just waiting to see on the field.

I'd take it a step further. Last year's draft produced Durant, Williams, Lake and Yeast. All day 3 picks.

With this year's class we have a group of solid players who should be even better next year.

And Kendrick.

And I wouldn't sell Desjuan Johnson short either; I get the feeling that if he gets pass-rushing reps instead of J-Will and Murchison, he'll produce.

Preaching to the choir here boys

Young is going to be a monster on the DL.
Avila is going to be a monster on the OL
Puka is going to be a monster at WR
Atwell has broken out
Evans is a field flipping punter
Jones is a very good ILB

Waiting in the wings
Tomlinson and Durant will be top CBs
Lake has what you want in a top safety
Williams has the potential to be a very good 3 down RB
Maher will be the Rams K for years
Turner looks like he's going to be a standout DT
Alaric Jackson is only going to get better
Shelton is an under rated center

That is the kind of talent I've seen for months. It's why I'm excited about this year and into the future. This team has a lot of talent it simply needs to mature and develop. This team is on the right track and has that foundation to build a dynasty type franchise around. It's an exciting time to be a Ram fan.
Tutu has been almost like a new draft pick. I was convinced he was a bust after multiple underwhelming seasons but I admit I was wrong. After seeing him make that contested catch against Ward in Week 2, Im convinced.

Tutu might actually be that guy we drafted him to be.

Yes and I think he is a solid NFL receiver now which is great to see. Question is what is his ceiling. I don't blame him for that reversed TD for example, but a top wideout is gonna convert that. He has left points on the field over the first three games.

I am wondering whether he will be one of those guys whose breakout season happens to be timed with his FA year. So as happy as I am to see him doing the job I'd like to see more explosive plays and TDs in these coming games and him being a guy DCs need to gameplan to contain.

Ironic given that he's the most maligned of our most recent 2nd-rounders, and yet appears to be one who's turning into a successful pick.

Remember, Tutu started out with a really poor player mentor in DeJean. Thankfully, he graduated to Cooper last season.

Another great game from the rookies and second year players.
Added another rookie to the "contributing" list today with Desjuan Johnson showing up and making a play.

Puca is turning into a legend. It's wild.. he's on RECORD SETTING pace for catches and yards.. RIDICULOUS. Nothing fluke about what he's doing.. he's a baller.
Avila is a friggen stud. STUD.
Young keeps playing hard and providing pressure.
Kobie Turner had a bummer roughing call.. but he's a baller.

Just an incredible class.

And.. from last year.. Russ Yeast looking solid.. Kendrick having a productive day. Good stuff. Lake looking decent. Kyren Williams being incredibly productive.. Ronnie Rivers playing VERY nice.

Just a ton of fun watching young guys grow.

I feel like Kupp deserves a ton of credit for Puka's early success. I'm guessing that was a pretty unique level of off season coaching and mentoring, and I don't hear it mentioned much.

I feel like it's mentioned a lot!
Maybe I'm listening to/reading different stuff.. or are you just talking about on here?
But, yes.. critical. I will say Puca showed early he was worth the effort, that's a big part of it, imo.

In The Athletic’s new article on best rookies so far… Puka, Avila, Young and Evans are all first team and Kobie Turner had an honorable mention.

That’s amazing for a class with No first round pick.

It’s fun to see smart publications recognize how great the kids are.

Rookies keep growing and we keep seeing more... and the 22 class keeps bringing more.

5 players from the 22 class started or played significant snaps yesterday. Yeast, Kendrick, Durant and Lake ALL in the secondary... and Williams having a career day on the ground.

Avila, Puka, Turner and Young continue to be high-contributing starters.. and this week we saw Davis Allen on the field for the first time.. Zach Evans carry the ball.. and Ochuan Mathis get more snaps.

Crazy.

I think this is Tutu's ceiling. I'm okay with that. I don't love it but I'm okay with that.
