Would like to see the mention you are talking about. There has been no switch last few weeks ...
B. Young is more of the cover OLB. You’ll see Hoecht rushing the passer more & see him on the Right side vs. the left.

Young has been basically just a pure pass rusher. They’re switching it up more as well, not being as generic or basic.
—This is basic due or due,so will see if we can see it or not ?

Leonard Floyd type role,& hopefully not playing like George (rip). Taylor Rapp made a nice INT besting Jalen in Miami.Floyd had 10 1/2 sacks this season.

Hoecht 6 sacks. — B. Young 8 sacks

He's not doing it any more than he has all year.

Rams have always done that. They don't play left and right. The do that with the safeties -- they don't have a strong safety or free safety, moth have to do both. The backers switch sides according the strength of the offense. The same is true of Aaron Donald and Williams, they switch sides based on strength. Nickel defense is a little different.

There has been no change in the scheme that I can see. They are doing what they have all year.

This one is complicated --- there were times I saw Floyd predominantly on the left and Hollins and all the others on the right. But there were other times is was the same as now. I don't know the percentages when they did left- and right- but it wasn't every game.

You are right on all this.

This is why the Rams need to beat Detroit...but even if they don't THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT YEAR.

Moving on...I really believe if the Rams beat the Lions, they will beat the 9ers. I fear the Lions more than the 9ers because the Rams know the 9ers...they don't know the Lions and that can bite you!

This draft class is the best I've seen the Rams do. Kudos to Snead and McVay...and yes...this is McVay's best coaching year!

Well like you said before. We can agree to disagree. This last game I’m not sure about.I’ll look up & check on my side before Sunday & then on Sunday we’ll see how things play out.

I will say that play calls get changed & no matter what have to play each play as one. There are no true set rules on not adjusting.
Nick Hampton is getting a little playing time.Troy Reeder was calling the plays against SF last Sunday. — What I’ll say is a inside side line to sideline OLB to go with Ernest Jones next season is a big time need imo.

A cover CB as well. Tell me about Durant this Sunday? Is Kendrick in ?

Baldy knows his shit. Avila might not ever be a superstar but he's probably one of the main reasons for the offensive turnaround this year. Just a wall of a man that you can't get past or through
Played every snap. Incredible.

And what a fun kid.

Yeah, would like to see you post what you are talking about, a clip or a shot ... anything would be helpful

just taking a quick look --- Hoecht doing the same things vs Card and vs Giants

but it is always important to note what is happening in base defense and in nickel defense... but as you can see he's at both left and right. If I were to make an educated guess ... Hoecht is usually left in base defense, but not all the time. Essentially Floyd's position. He was mostly left, but played both.

But in nickel defense, Hoecht is playing some defensive tackle in the overloaded fronts. Floyd did a little of that, too.

DL is hard to figure out ... because they move around a lot

Another team that had an exceptional 2023 draft was Green Bay.

1.13 Lucas Van Ness edge
2. 42 Luke Musgrave aTE
2.50 Jaylen Reed WR
3.78 Tucker Kraft TE
5.159 Dontayvion Wicks WR

There were other picks, but these standout.

That the Rams did better with no 1st & only one second makes it even more mind-blowing.

I've watched every snap Z Evans has taken this year (preseason and reg season) and I haven't been impressed by anything he's done. Hope I'm wrong, but he looks like a bust to me.

Rest of the draft has been a home run.
RB is a draft every year and bring in a few UFDAs every year kinda thing. It's not that big a deal that he didn't work. (Sure, we can give him another year).
