Found this bit of info on Troy Hill. He really has been playing well since becoming starter. I had my doubts when they signed him to an extension, but he has been a doing a good job.

Good for him!

I noticed in our last game against Seattle.

Ramsey came over and I became aware of his I have a mouth guard but I don't wear it because I am letting the opponent know I am going to be talking at him all game long.

Well in our game against Seattle Ramsey, Hill, and Robey Coleman had their mouth guards hanging off their face masks all game long.

While on the other side of the ball you had Metcalf with the binky. I don't know if it's a real mouth guard now I know earlier in the season I saw him take it out and it was literally a binky.

Since Ramsey became a Ram they are playing more man coverage and the whole secondary is playing better.

Rarely disagree with your thoughts, but here I do. You don't have a season where you shutdown opposing WR's like that by accident. Wade saw something in Hill, and that is why he got the extension. QB Rating against Hill is 63.

Fact is, Hill has been studying this defense for some time now. He plays smart, keeps everything in front of him, rarely makes mistakes, and almost never misses tackles. It's showing for him now.

He's gonna even out dudes. Hill is not an elite CB. And that's ok. He'll probably finish up somewhere in the middle which for him is going to be great.

I guess you would rather have Peters. Not me!

Yea Hill has a history of playing good then bad. Inconsistent. Which is why he’s always been a depth guy.

If he has turned the corner then awesome. He’s been great so far.
Huge matchup vs Gallup which is like a #1 WR.

Hill doesn’t race the #1 WR’s like Gilmore and Ramsey so apples vs oranges when we look at stats.

Not at all. Peters was subpar in this scheme. Hill plays the call and that makes a huge difference.

I’ve always liked Hill. He would flash his shutdown abilities sometimes but was inconsistent. It looks like he has improved his game tremendously and that bodes well for us.

I was never in the Hill camp.

However. He has been playing better than I expected. Which is a blessing.

I agree @RamDino. Hill is trending up.

Definitely a fair assessment. He doesn't have to be elite, he just needs to be pretty good.

A CB that can keep #2 receivers under wraps is very valuable.

Troy Hill is what you wanna see. Waiver wire pick up to starting CB opposite Jalen Ramsey. That’s a sign of a healthy organization. We got guy rising up the depth chart to become solid contributors and role players, like Reader, Evans, Edwards, Hill, Rapp, Christian, Corbett, Higbeast, etc. I mean, not everyone one your squad is gonna be an All-Pro, so it sure is exciting to see guys playing well. I know there has been a lot of talk about contracts and cap space with our premiere players, but it’s guys like this who are doing their job well with mid-level or rookie contracts that make up the rest of the salary cap. The Rams are a solid organization top to bottom. These role players are helping save our season

GO RAMS!

sample size or not ?? It’s about the now.
1. Atlanta playoff game he played well.

2. What I saw last week was great strength on a deep ball INT. The way he caught the ball was pretty awesome imo. I’ve never seen him play this well. I would be the first to light him up on crap defense.

Sample size is his DUI ?? Just shows believing in a player. Time can change minds.

Such great points here .... Look at the Ram roster ... there is not a single position that isn't loaded with young talent, some producing already, and some that is full of potential.

Troy Hill? You mean the guy who put the dagger in the Seahawks with that INT in the endzone?
