I know that you jest, DYVKX.

But, believe it or not, Daniel Jeremiah on Path actually said last week that Elliott just might be the most talented player in this entire draft.

Obviously, he's not a Ram target. But damn!

Maybe a team below us might be tempted to trade up a short distance to get Elliott?

I mean, Gurly proved what a weapon that an elite RB can be. Hmmmmm...

Don't know if teams want to risk trading up for running backs in the 1st. The Chargers did it last year with Gordon and it bit them in the ass.

I don't care.
If he is out of trouble and attends camp and on time its all good with me.
If the Rams find a better replacement that is fine too.
A young guy doing something stupid with his free time. Not a big shock.

Dude has talent. Sucks he makes poor choices like this. But he's a grown man, so no sympathy.

I wonder if this means they'll sign someone like Matt Forte or Arian Foster as a vet backup along with Benny

Rams: More details on Tre Mason arrest emerge
by Vincent Bonsignore

http://www.insidesocal.com/nfl/2016/03/06/rams-more-details-on-tre-mason-arrest-emerge/

Rams running back Tre Mason was taken into custody Saturday in Hollywood, Florida and arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, marijuana possession, reckless driving and not registering his car.

In a statement, the Ram expressed disappointment.

“We are very disappointed to learn of an incident involving Tre Mason in the Miami, Fla. area Saturday afternoon. We are in the process of obtaining more information about the facts surrounding this incident and will have no further comment at this time.”

The story was first reported by WPLG Channel 10 in Florida. According the the WPLG report, Broward County court records show that Mason had less than the 20 grams of marijuana on him, which carries a misdemeanor possession charge.

According to the Hollywood (Fl) police report released to the Associated Press, Mason was subdued with a stun gun twice when he refused to cooperate with officers who were arresting him in South Florida.

The report indicated Mason refused orders to get out of his Porsche sports car Saturday afternoon after he was pulled over for going more than twice the speed limit in a 35-mile-per-hour zone along a Beachside road, and refused to give the patrol officer his name or provide identification. The officer smelled marijuana in the car.

“I warned the defendant if he did not identify himself he would be subject to arrest and he smirked as he was making eye contact,” Officer Lester Cochenour wrote in his report.

The officer called for backup and warned Mason he would be arrested if he didn’t provide identification, the report said.

Upon informing Mason he was under arrest. officer Cochenour attempted to removed Mason from the car by taking his left arm, Mason braced himself against the car’s floor, seat and steering wheel, according to the report. Another officer joined the effort to get Mason out of the car, but he still resisted, according to the police report.

“The defendant was warned several times in a composed voice to stop resisting, exit the vehicle and if he did not comply with arrest, a Taser would be used,” the officer wrote in the report.

A third officer arrived, and when another effort failed to remove him, Mason was stunned on his torso with a Taser. He was stunned again outside the vehicle in his pelvis when he refused to put his hands behind his back as ordered, the report said.

Mason was then taken to a hospital for medical clearance since he had been stunned. While he was there, bond was posted for him so he was released from police custody and never had to go to jail, said Jaime Hernandez, spokesman for the Hollywood Police Department. Hernandez did not immediately know how much Mason’s bail was.

Mason, 22, has a home in Delray Beach and went to high school in nearby Lake Worth.

Mason, a second-round pick in 2014 from Auburn, was also reportedly taken to a local hospital after the arrest though for what has not been disclosed.

Mason struggled last season in his second year with the Rams, and faced a key offseason trying to get back on strong footing with the Rams.

Someone mentioned what "dicks" the police are. Clearly Mason was the beginning, middle and end of the problem here.

The police show amazing levels of restraint with self-loathing saboteurs, with Mr. Mason being the latest to not want a quality life. The police reluctantly oblige. They are usually A type personalities, but otherwise good people.

For every Bad Cop, there are morons like Tre, invincible in their own minds.

See ya. Maybe you can be a Roadie for your dads band.

Not saying anything about this particular case but when Rialto, California, put cameras on their cops all of a sudden the officers' use of force dropped 60%. Public complaints dropped 88%. They knew everything they did was on film and they couldn't get away with shady actions as easily. Every single police officer I've met has been corrupt in some fashion. It's a bigger problem than people realize. There are a lot of good cops out there but there are a ton of bad ones too.

Yeah that's was me, but I was talking about Broward County in particular. And that's because they are. Not all of course, but there are a few that earned a reputation for using force without it being necessary as some of my friends and I could attest. That was a long time ago; but as someone already pointed out, incidents like that have started to drop now that they're being watched. I have a lot of stories about those guys from years back, and I'm sure they're not isolated incidents, Nationally speaking, for that era.

Looks like it was all Mason's fault, but the story constantly reads, "according to the report". I can also tell you stories about "reports", but I don't think I have to if you watch the news.

Tazed in the nuts?
Seems necessary.

I have to admit, my first gut reaction was to slam you for this posting. I respect what cops do, and feel like they wade into the cesspool of humanity everyday and often get slammed for trying to deal with situations that none of us have ever done.. I think a lot of the supposed victims do sh*t that no one sees on camera as well...But, it protects cops and civilians to have video of every situation...So thank you for the post.

Fisher repeatedly made it clear during last season that he saw a split in carries of 20/15 (Gurley/Mason) as being an ideal scenario in a game. Translation: Mason was still a huge part of the game plan. Plus I genuinely think he can be a threat in the passing game too.

To see him potentially throwing that away with stuff like this is a real shame. I agree with some of the others on here that its down to his mental approach after Gurley got drafted. I know he had an injury as well but that happens to every one in the NFL.

I personally hope he uses this as a wake up call because I really do believe he can still be a big part of this team and we have enough gaps to fill (including re-signing some of our own) without him adding to that list.

I was not caring if he came back this year anyway...He seems to be the kinda guy that needs a lot of carries to be adequate, with fumbles mixed in. Cunningham is dynamic when he fills in, and I certainly would take him as my #2 back over Pead..err..Mason, any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Yeah. It is good having the cameras. I am not downplaying your experience. I'm sure you are sincere. Accountability is good for the cops.

Mason just seems to be self destructing.
