Basically, my point is that telling people to talk to their representatives is an unrealistic solution in this situation. The people have spoken but the legislature has been dragging its feet for years.
What other remedy is there? Breaking the law? Revolution? Not being condescending here, merely asking.
Don't want to get into politics in the forum but it seems that we have a system were we vote in representatives who make the laws which are then interpreted by judges as either being constitutional or unconstitutional. We are not a strict democracy but a republic. The majority does not rule here.
If Tre Mason wants to smoke pot or use medical marijuana, he should do it in a state were it's allowed. But then he would also have to deal with Goodell and the NFL because it is still deemed a no, no, right or wrong.
Full disclosure; I smoked pot until it was coming out of my ears during my twenties. I stirred it into my food and drank it in my tea and out of my hookah pipe. Yuck!!!
So did my wife and all our friends.
I drove around like that and was lucky enough never to get busted. Back in those days that was a much more serious offense. But then I decided it wasn't worth ruining my career, my health, and my marriage and stopped. I can understand these young guys smoking doobies but not at the risk of losing hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars.
Btw if I don't reply until tomorrow, don't be offended. I'm off to bed.
