Fiske has not been much of a presence but I think Fiske is playing at less than 100%. Remember, he was injured in Game 1. He's only playing 50% of the snaps, which is less than last season.

I think he is playing hurt.
Hope that is the case, he is invisible out there.

Simmons might be the best DL in the league. Let Fiske get healthy and then rotate in. Simmons would change our defense from nasty to league best potentially.

Plus, Simmons is a natural at NT or 3-Tech, so we could play Fiske, Simmons, and Turner in our base D. Or we can bring Fiske in on passing downs and use Poona Ford in our base D to strengthen the run D. Will give us a lot of variety and depth on the DL. Nasty rotation. Simmons is a game-wrecker, so I understand why they'd be interested. He's not just a gifted pass rusher. He's a lot like Jared Verse. Uber physical dude who will bring it against the run and pass. But you only make this trade if you're going to keep Simmons, given the compensation. There's an opportunity cost to that.

I think that's a very short term view. If they add Simmons, it might cost them Turner or Young.

If the Rams were to add a stud at a position of strength, I would prefer it be a WR because Nacua plays like a fullback and Adams is not young. Don't see either playing seventeen games.

Simmons only for 2nd rounder? Shit! If we can somehow get him. Whos gonna be a Cap Casualty though is the Question!

We need to find a Proper Center to be honest! CB I think we are SOL on that til the draft, unless we get lucky!

Another point on Jeffrey Simmons.

The Titans are in good cap shape right now; and are in Great Cap Shape for the 2026 off-season. Why would they trade a top-tier defensive lineman, who just turned 28 a couple months ago and should be in his prime for nothing more than a draft choice that figures to be no higher than the mid-50's?

If Simmons is That Good ... and, I think he is ... he garners, at least, a 1st Round draft choice.

I'll tell ya, it's unfortunate we committed to Kyren. Because I'd love to see what McVay could do with Breece Hall.

It's tough to spend a second on a guy at a position where we're so strong, but Simmons is a special player.
I see the allure with Simmons. But the way that will translate is another team with a greater need up front will pay more than the Rams will.

The player on that list that intrigues me is Mark Andrews. This is because he represents more of a buy-low opportunity. But I think he upgrades us over Higs on the inline, cements our targets over the middle for the playoffs, and he may have more left than people think. Dude simply lost his mojo when he fell out of favor with that playoff drop. I think McVay could tap into that shit and we could send them Parkinson back as a role player option or move him prior or cut him and be much better off.

Problem is we really need a corner and I don't want to squander picks. If they can find a good corner to settle this secondary down we will be in business. The offense will get figured out.

Also it would be good for Ferguson to be able to pick Andrews' brain on the TE craft. Nothing against Higs, but Andrews is more of the upside I am hoping for from Fergy.

I would be happy about Olave, wonder what the asking price is for him. Truly would like a good center or CB as first priorities, but, Olave is a good young WR (unfortunately with a concussion problem).

Darious Williams played good ball yesterday.. Durant seemed to be fine. I'd still love another corner.
Ya the ONLY 2 positions we have any business trading for at the deadline:
CB & OC
Unfortunately pickins are slim at these 2 positions.

It is somewhat surprising with Snead as the GM that this position was not really addressed during the off season.
How would you know that? We would never know how many inquiries they have made about any number of positions. We only find out after a deal is successfully completed. We never really know about the unsuccessful attempts.

If he's available for a Day 3 pick or a pick swap, I'm down with an Andrews trade. Think we need to deepen our group of weapons.

Im all for the rams getting someone as a solid 1b as long as they're not paying a kings ransom. It's gonna be tough tho. After how the rams played last week teams are gonna smell blood in the water and ask for steep compensation
They always do and usually get it.

I agree that CB is a hole, an obvious weakness on an otherwise very good defense. Make that move if it’s there for sure.

But honestly, If the Rams are buyers, I’m with @Allen2McVay

Address the offense. Still too slow, not enough game breakers. Other than Nacua there is no one that scares defenses. I think we have some good depth at RB, WR and TE, but we still need better/more dynamic players/weapons for Stafford to go to, and hand off to. A lot of “solid” players currently here.

I see the same needs we went into the offseason with. Too many drops from Adams but he’s been a nice addition. Still need a game breaker WR3. Not sure Tutu counts. Not enough touches.

Our TE room looks like a bowl of grape nuts. Slow, just “okay” hands, decent blockers. Absolutely nothing special.

I’ve already beaten the horse with our RB’s. This is where you want a true weapon to compliment Stafford’s elite arm.

Or, add a vet OL. Add some exp depth.

I don’t see much out there. Maybe should’ve been more aggressive on draft day to acquire a dangerous skill guy. Lots of those rookies are producing at a high clip for other teams.

This is why I think I’d sell at the deadline. Grab some mid to late picks for a Higbee or a Corum or a Parkinson or a Whittington or a Tutu.

Make room for Ferguson, Hunter to get in there and do something this year and finally address the skill positions next year with extra picks. Although…I’m not sure this regime knows how to HIT on offensive skill positions with high picks.
