I think most of us were stating that is the one area that we are concerned about going into the season.

And we were right.
Tell me about it. I got to say as a fan, that it's frustrating when you know where your team needs help in a certain area but yet the team refuses or plain just doesn't see it themselves.

I think it's a money issue. they have cart blanch up to a point. then the spigot gets turned off. that's why we don't have a good Oline, rb or cb1. amazing they can be in the mix but just not enough to get over the top. imho. go, rams.

Maybe the Rams look to sell. Not because they’re not contenders, but because they want to keep stockpiling some picks.

Depth and TE’s we don’t throw to for example.

I think DWill and Durant have looked okay, and even better than Forbes, but they are too small for someone like Kendrick Bourne or AJ Brown. They are serviceable for WR2 and slot. We just need another physical big body.

I remember when someone was saying we should trade Ramsey and dump his salary, and roll with the cheap small guys. This proves that big corners will always be needed.

You'd think, (well, I would anyway) that with 17 players per team stashed away on practice squads, that of those 544 players - there would a couple of serviceable corners....

Anybody hear of Rams having interest in Jeffrey Simmons? There was a rumor a while back about Titans willing to move him for a 2nd rounder. Today I see Rams supposedly have interest.

Not sure if they have interest, but I have interest! Simmons is a beast. Fiske has certainly fallen off from his good rookie season. Not sure I've heard Fiske's name this season. Would love to see Simmons on this front. Will even help out secondary since the QB should be running for their life.

I'll tell ya, it's unfortunate we committed to Kyren. Because I'd love to see what McVay could do with Breece Hall.

It's tough to spend a second on a guy at a position where we're so strong, but Simmons is a special player.

Man that makes no sense to me.

Simmons is a terrific player but his 2025 salary is $17.5M ... that's more than the Rams' current cap space.
Plus, the Rams need to preserve their cap space in 2026 and 2027 ... Nacua, Turner and Young are all in their third years ... and Simmons cap hits the next two seasons are $26M and $28.5M.

Then there are the snaps.
On many defensive plays, the Rams only play 2 defensive linemen, with 2 Edge players, 2 LB and 5 DBs.
How could the Rams find enough snaps for Simmons, Ford, Turner and Fiske? Forget about Tyler Davis ...
he would never see the field.

Adding Simmons would be making a Team Strength even stronger (which is nice) but it would be at a major cost of valuable resources ... draft capital and salary cap space.

Fiske has not been much of a presence but I think Fiske is playing at less than 100%. Remember, he was injured in Game 1. He's only playing 50% of the snaps, which is less than last season.

I think he is playing hurt.
