Are there any actual assets that other teams would buy?
I dont mean this as a joke, but Rams got a 6th round pick for Woods, who would garner more than that other than the cornerstone players (Stafford, Donald, Ramsey, Kupp etc)
And I still can't believe that we gave up Woods for only a sixth.

It's unfortunate to see Saffold starting for the Bills. Rams made some not so good choices this last off season. Should have saved the money spent on Robinson and Wagner and used those resources on the O line. Kept Woods. Why lose Woods?

Awfully optimistic to include the word playoffs in your thoughts.
I would say it's optimistic given how the Rams are currently playing.

However, I also think it's very possible given that at the moment, two 4-4 teams would make the Playoffs.

I highly doubt we’re making any trades at this point. I’d be surprised. Frankly, we need draft capital.

Rams line did some good things in the game in the first half. After the half the shitters started dialing up extra rushers and that shut our pass game down.

I think quite a bit of this loss was Shanny adjusting better. Rams gonna need to prep for that better too or Stafford is gonna get a lot more blitzes in the coming games. Last season he destroyed those.

Maybe I'm missing something but once you go down this road you can't turn back can't have one foot in the water and one out.

If you keep the picks fine but 2nd 3rd rounder all pro difference makers very unlikely so if the picks become the way you need to start selling off pieces that still have extremely high value and now that you have the NFL hooked on your way you go against the grain and collect mad picks for stars that can put teams really over the top. You cannot just hold the picks and wait 2-4 yrs to develop the core players will be gone or severely on the down swing.

Or other option you stick to what you have been doing essentially with this window and use the picks for foundation piece or two.

I sincerely think we have reached the fork in the road I don't think you could have Coop Staff Ramsey AD etc and draft players by the time they develop these guys are done.

I'm ok on in whatever they choose however I will say again I believe we should stick to what we do and at least go down fighting then if it doesn't work you start the tear down.

I don't believe you can have both on the windows these players have if they were each 2-3 years younger maybe then you could do a retool on the fly not the case here.

I also find it odd that tutu didn't play at all when he could have easily ran some jet sweeps seating how KC scored on like wt 2 or 3 of them or deep shots same with Van. I feel some combination of not all will be gone Tuesday but maybe I'm wrong

Just from the conversation...

Here it is, still October, and we are talking about picks. This can't be a good sign. :(

Respectfully, I disagree. We don't need draft capital. Look at the contracts on this team and the ages of those players.

Donald: in his 30s
Stafford: 34
Kupp: either approaching 30 or already there
Ramsey: approaching 30
Wagner: in his 30s

These guys will be gone soon and we'll be blowing it up anyway. No time to :
1. Hope we hit on a draft pick
2. Hope that draft pick gives immediate returns so not to waste the remaining years of the players above.

We need to do what we've been doing. Using the draft picks to bring in players who are ready to go right now (Chubb, Hunt, etc.) Because when Donald and Stafford retire it's a rebuild regardless.

Saffold has been flat-out bad this season.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

Normally I’d say not waste picks. I like picks.

But with the age of our stars. I do think we are stuck. Almost have to sell the next few years out for now. Go for it this year and next year. Yeah that likely means we suck in 2024-2025. But as someone said, you can’t be partially in and out at the same time. I’d rather go for it and then tank a couple years to rebuild; then be middle of the pack late seed team out in first week or two of playoffs each year.

I’m not advocating selling off. Just asking. But yeah, aside from the big names they wouldn’t get much.

And Snead’s early round draft record isn’t great anyway. I think they’d have a very very long rebuild.

Can’t say I disagree, I just don’t think we’re actually going to make any moves. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be happy if we make one and it provides us a sorely needed boost.

That said, we need draft capital to be able to make the types of trades we’ve made in the past.
