This game was huge.... Rams absolutely needed the Cards to lose. Yeah it's too early but the Rams now technically own their destiny for the #1 seed.

Ertz looks like a pain in the a**. And good lord is Murray a talented little bugger. Here's hoping that ankle slows him down a bit.
His ankle slows him down every season. He’s not as durable as Russell has been.

Can McVay commit to a slow clock control ground game like this, against Arizona? Or any team for that matter?
Has he ever? Maybe in the 2nd half if he's got a lead. I believe we've seen him do that before too...a few times.

Gotta take care of business this weekend or it's all for nothing.

That first down spot on the 8 at the end of the game was some first class BS. The line judge that actually watches the line and spotted the ball, it called it short. Then the referee (official supreme ruler) 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage runs up, signals first down and picks up the ball and tosses it to be placed for the snap.

How can a guy behind the play overrule the line judge who is specifically watching for ball placement when the tackle is made right in front of him and he has the best view?

If I had to bet the referee owed someone some money.

I feel like he had a solid enough gameplan. Aggressive but he got the run going too. Those early turnovers and bad defense changed everything though.

You are likely correct. But I still pose the question. Could McVay ever commit and execute such a gameplan?

We've seen it with Akers vs NE. Akers is every bit as physical a runner as Jones.
I don't think he can do that with Hendo though. Maybe if he gets Sony heavily involved.

And we get CJ Anderson back on the team...
