I already stated in another thread that there was only one player in the NFL that I would not be heartbroken if he got hurt.

Guess who that was.
Don't do Marcus Peters that way!

The problem with Dallas winning is that we'd be left with an endless cacophony of pundits and former players just spraying all over the Star like in one of those "cultural anime films"...

It's been 25 years since Dallas has been good and i shudder to think about all the pent up attention waiting for them when they return to winning...

That whole scene is just gross to me... both metaphorically and literally...
I hope the Cowboys get pummeled--what an insufferable entitled, marketing-generated fan base. TB doesn't scare me anyway; I think they basically just got hot at the end of the year.

I disagree, every year the first week a bad ass team gets beat or blowout by another team. If there is a time to do it it’s now, and they have a shot at it with a experienced coach if he throws his tendances completely out and doesn’t listen to Jerry.
It does happen! My second year as a Chief fan started off with a bang, as did my first year. The talks of Brady leading the Bucs to a perfect season are brewing. I've seen it before.

It was September 8th, 2017. First game of the regular season on Thursday Night Football. It was Ring Night for the Patriots. Their previous victory was a historic comeback in the Super Bowl against the Falcons. Talks of Tom Brady leading the Pats to an undefeated title were everywhere. And here comes Alex Smith lead Chiefs...

However, that 2017 Chiefs team had a ton of talent. It was (Eric's Berry's last healthy game.) Chris Jones, Justin Houston, Dee Ford, Derick Johnson, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt.

When I look at the Cowboys roster I'm not seeing anything near that calibre of talent, particularly on defense. So it does happen but not for the Cowboys. Sit the starters.

It’s gonna be a game with a lot of points I think, but the Cowboys D will still be a weakness this season imo and I don’t see them containing the Bucs offense.

Dak Prescott will get garbage time stats as usual. That's it. This game will not be close. I may not even watch it. I have NFL Replay. May catch it later. Not worth losing sleep for a garbage match up, that garbage being DAL.

If DAL played in a real division they wouldn't sniff the Playoffs. Being they play in the NFC Least, they have a good shot at winning that trash division.

Tampa didn't win the Super Bowl as a fluke. They are a pretty damn good team that is well-coached.

The Cowboys have been a dumpster fire for years wasting a pretty decent roster over the years. Their problem IMO has always been coaching and an intrusive owner who is his own GM. This creates a situation where bad management by the FO is accountable to no one so bad decisions tend to be compounded by other bad decisions with no end or ultimate resolution.

I don't like either team, never have. My dislike for the Cowboys dates back to the early 60's. I would like the Cowboys to win simply because it could affect playoff seeding and my distaste for Brady knows no bounds. I would love for him to be brought down this season.

The Ram/Bucs game week 3 will be a very interesting game. The Bucs are basically the same team as last year. The Rams who beat them last year are improved in key areas. Their QB is better, Michel is far better than Malcolm Brown who started. People forget Goff outplayed Brady by a wide margin. It was Ram penalties that kept Tampa in the game. Ram receivers are improved, with a better QB. The Ram OL with a year of experience should play better. If the game was so evenly matched last year, I think the Rams outgun the Bucs this year on both sides of the ball.

IMO the Bucs, Titans, and GB are the biggest games outside of Seattle and SF. The Titans will really test the Ram run defense. Both the Bucs and GB will be a challenge for the secondary. By the end of week 12, we will know how good this team is or isn't. They will have faced their toughest opponents of the year except for Baltimore. The Ravens are like what Seattle would be if they had a defense.

When the Rams get to the Super Bowl no one can say they snuck in through the back door. They are going to have to beat some very good teams to even get to the playoffs. The first-round bye is nice but overrated. GB had the bye and didn't make it to the SB. KC had the bye and got blown out in the SB. Tampa didn't sneak in they earned their ring. That's what I see with the Rams this year.

Tampa had the 4th ranked offense and the 6th ranked defense. But what the Super Bowl showed is that it's not about rankings it's about matchups in each game. Right now the Rams match up well against anyone on both sides of the ball. There isn't a team in the NFL that clearly outmatches the Rams this year on both sides of the ball. If you want rank expectations IMO the Rams are a top 5 team in offense and defense. If they lose they will have to be a part of that loss with mistakes (key penalties, missed opportunities and turnovers). When the Rams play their A-game in all three aspects (offense, defense, STs) they will be damn hard to beat.

My hope is for an unbeaten season, but my realistic expectations are for a 14-3 regular season finish. That would put them in contention for the #1 seed or at least #2.

Yeah I'm a homer but I think I'm realistic in my assessments.

Idk man it’s like the Jets beating us last year. No way do I think they have the talent we do but they had a hell of a game plan to take advantage of our weaknesses.

It was Sam Darnald vs Jared Goff, correct? Prescott Vs. Brady has a completely different feel to it.

I'm sorry, but this is the most ridiculous argument I've ever seen regarding any sport, professional or amateur. You're advocating a team to sit their starters and essentially just roll over to take an L week one, and that's just fucking stupid.

You know who else didn't have a snowballs chance in hell? A bunch of college kids going against some of the best professional athletes in the world who played the game, a team that was a four time defending champion, hadn't lost a game in over a decade, had previously smashed all star teams in the professional sport the college kids were playing, and as a cherry on top absolutely embarrassed the kids just a few weeks earlier 10 to 3.

Nobody thought the kids would win.

You may have heard of it though, the miracle on ice.

Advocating? Nah, I want DAL to get beat down with their broke QB in there. (I hope WAS wins that division again.) Now that Zack Martin (DAL's best player for years) won't be available he's sure to get hammered.

DAL's 2nd string would bring home the loss just the same. That's the point. Saying DAL should literally sit their starters is an overstatement, that's called hyperbole. You didn't pick up on that but that's ok. I didn't expect a wealth of intelligence to begin with.

Don't sit there and act like I'm the dumb one because that argument is stupid. Half the board here wants Dallas to lose as well, but that doesn't make the argument about sitting starters any less bad.

If someone asks you what you do for fun and you answer 11 raspberries in a straight face don't get upset when they think you're a dumbass. You've been on this board long enough to understand the blue font function, this is a you problem.

The emotional maturity of a teenager is not a good look. Perhaps you should take 5. I'm sure DAL will play their starters regardless of what I say. When I wake up the next morning and see they lost it will be of no surprise at all.

I will also be checking the the injuries. If I see Prescott or any significant player on there the case is closed. They play the Chargers in week 2. They need everybody to beat them. I got DAL starting 0-2 either way. Doesn't matter.

You know this is a Rams forum right? The concept may be foreign to you, but most of us here don't jump teams, I'm quite confident that nobody will care much about Dallas's record or injury list. If you don't have a point, trying to double down doesn't really get you anywhere.

is cee dee lamb going to be the best wr in the league by the end of this season?

.
He could be, honestly. He already had a great rookie season, and is looking better by all reports. Too bad the Cowboys will only win 8 games, though.
