I'd make teams that have COVID outbreak play the schedule with whatever scrubs they can find off the waiver wire. That should help to rectify any teams who might have loosened constraints irt their players in their facilities. Now that's not to say the Titans loosened things up, maybe they did a good job and 4 individuals still got the virus. But either way just play the sched until there's only two teams standing and let the whiners try to sort it all out down the road.

I have to think teams that are stocked with team-first types who love the game have the advantage this season. Because chances are they'll do the best job following guidelines and avoiding getting this shit and missing time. So IMO the Rams, who probably have a higher collection of those types of players than an average team, are well set up this season on top of some of the good things we've seen on the field.

This could still end up being a great season so I'm hopeful. Even if I am afraid they're gonna scrub it at some point if they lose control.

I'd like to remind folks who are looking to duke it out here over corona opinions and doctors and expert witnesses and all that bullshit that we have a long and rather tedious thread elsewhere for all that. :beer2::cool:

Teams that have players that had covid in the off season will also have an advantage. But I agree they should play the games using the extra bodies that were allowed on the PS for this very reason.

I always felt for the NFL to really stack the deck in their favor of crowning a season champion in 2020... They would have built a schedule (perhaps even reducing the number of games, if necessary) with breaks forced into the schedule to "catch up" when they have unforeseen disruptions for CoVID.

In other words, pre-planned breaks in the season used for the catch up games.

It would be great to have built that plan for 16 games, perhaps extending the season in some manner to build in the breaks...

And... certainly breaks are not the silver bullet, as the same team could get shutdown 2-3 times... so it's not perfect, but it gives the league options to keep things on track.

The way it sounds... this game needs to be jammed in. I'm not sure how sustainable that is.

This Covid S@#@ is new to everyone, just gotta adjust on the run Imho.

It's just a game, let's protect the Players People 1st Imho.

I thought the reason for the larger PS and the changes to the IR rules were to ensure that teams could still play games in the event a team has an outbreak. We will see in another week or so if any of the vikings players contracted covid from their game against the titans. I would not be surprised if no vikings test positive. Hopefully that will eliminate some of the fear of spreading the virus during game play.

Have any vikings players tested positive? I havent seen anything saying they have. That would be good news in that playing in a football game against players with covid does not mean you will get covid. Titans players that tested positive had to have been contagious during the game.

After the Chiefs/Patriots game Gilmore hugged just about every prominent Chief out there including Mahomes.

Yeah.... I love my NFL. This is not looking good right now.

And yeah players hugging and fiving after the game.... epic fail.

I commented to my wife first week when I saw that. I mean yeah they are smashing into each other all game - but it's not really necessary to hug it out at the end of the game....
