But what have we showed …. That we are not a good football im sorry but that’s just how I feel the offense is not good line can’t block no explosive players, no speed at wr or rb and don’t say they got tutu … tutu be watching the games just like us … the defense is a work in progress …. We’re just a mid team this year and that’s ok…. We barely beat or struggle with bad teams … After i seen how easily Miami beat patriots compared to how we beat them was all I needed to see
Thing is - we should have beaten Miami too.

Yes (it also means a slightly easier schedule in 2025).
Theoretically sure but that's not really guaranteed heading into the offseason draft and free agency. Every year division winners regress and other teams rise. What is it a 25% of playoff teams change yearly or something like that?

I don't know anybody that's saying we're world beaters. But not good? Man that's making the International Pessimist Club wanting to give you an award.

Agreed - theoretically and on paper. There are also injuries which can turn a great team going into the season (e.g. 9ers) into a paper dragon.

You see what you want to see and it's very clear from every post you make that nothing said by somebody else will change that. The Niners, Packers, Lions and Vikings games are all examples of good teams. Especially when you factor in the injuries to Kupp and Nacua and the OL and our ability to battle through. But again if you don't want to see positives you won't see them and nothing I or anybody else will change that.

Personally, I do not agree.

I have some wonderful memories of borderline-Rams' playoff-teams making the post-season; and then, surprisingly, playing-well. Sometimes that experience can help propel a team and its younger players into greater heights in the future.

Amen.
Remember the 2017 Rams? First season under McVay and they went to the playoffs. They wilted and looked out of place, but the culture was born.
The following year they were battle hardened and made it to the SB.

These young guys from the last two drafts are the future and the talent on this roster. The sooner they get their feet wet, the better.

If the Rams can gel, they might win the division. Why would that be a bad thing?

Yeah I think over time and participation here on this board the posts illuminate us on who the fucking complainers are. The ones who only show up on gameday threads to shit on the boys.

For the rest of us, discussion of all aspects of the team are in play as they should be. Only discussing the good things is a fucking retarded idea.

Back to this year's team what is ironic is they are stronger throughout than they were last season. But their schedule has provided better opponents I think. This Philly team is in playoff form and we felt that. The fear was their OL would lean on us and they did. That OL is more powerful than our DL and we really didn' t have a chance to win that game. There is no way we could replicate the easy yards they pick up on the ground vs that defense.

If our offense had a fucking OL then we could have hung with them in a shootout but these boys are simply not up to snuff. Also I don't think this unit as a group play up to their talent snap to snap, game to game. They're up and down as fuck. And they're not gonna do a damn thing in the playoffs vs teams like Detroit, Philly, Green Bay, etc., who will all beat their asses in the trenches.

I never like to say "season over." I am typically relentlessly optimistic but this team does not have what they need. They are lacking at too many critical spots. Our OL is the biggest problem. Our secondary is not going to figure shit out either this year as they're a corner short and the others can either be beaten or are inconsistent. And we don't have enough beef on that DL, as well as lack speed on offense so we have to dink and dunk our way downfield due to that limitation and no protections.

This team is done. Even if they make a run and get into the playoffs it's going to be a quick exit this year.
But wouldn't keeping the Whiners outta the playoffs make many happy? I know it would for me. The Rams are definitely not a serious deep run playoff contender at this moment, but if they can make the dance then I don't give a shit about whether or not they are one and done. If they are, its what we expected so no disappointment there. If they pull an upset or 2, I'd be ecstatic. It's been a rollercoaster ride for sure this season and will continue to be. I'm here for it all, good and bad.

Sure and I agree.

But the moment that playoff failure is cemented my hatred of the shitters means that if we both miss the playoffs then I want the Rams to draft before them. So it never ends. :laugh3:

Rams goals each year
1) win SB
2) 9ers don’t win SB

After securing one of the two above - draft before (& much better overall) than the 9ers.

Rise & repeat

If we miss the playoffs just 2 words for this draft, Ashton Jeanty. Best RB prospect since Adrian Peterson. Resign Alaric Jackson or sign another LT, and buy a CB1. Draft a WR with speed in the 3rd. Wait 1 more year for a QB. Jeanty would make this offense roll. KW could make a nice change of pace or 3rd down back and Corum would provide insurance for both. Time to quit fucking around with the running back position, draft a stud equal to Saquan Barkley. Or maybe I'm completely wrong, don't give a fuck, just my 2 cents worth.

I would not be upset with Jeanty. He looks like an elite player, and that is what we need more of. If he runs well it'll be interesting to see where teams slot him though. Personally I'd say an elite is an elite so he should go top 15 at least but with RB you just never know man.

This is why I also won't be upset if we end up picking top ten. I think this roster needs it.

But what about his usage in college he bound to get hurt (knock on wood ) 37 rushing attempts in a game is crazy

I don't like high mileage on backs. But first is there a direct correlation with that and injuries? And secondly maybe a guy with mileage is a player who is blessed with good genetics and has high mileage because he can handle it.

Bottom line though is I don't expect a back to play for 15 years. It's a low shelf life position. But if the impact is there with the player it is valuable.
