Yeah. I think you're being myopic. The Dodgers have been there for many decades in the same stadium and have almost always been in contention. Same for the Lakers. The Kings have a home rink but rarely does ANYONE travel for hockey. They should but they don't. And NO ONE really cares about soccer.

49ers fans will take over Rams' SoFi Stadium again, per Vivid Seats

Once again, the 49ers' Faithful will invade Los Angeles and outnumber Rams fans at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

It already is time for the Faithful to head to their southern California “home-away-from-home,” and as usual, the stands will be full of red when the 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

Per ticket marketplace Vivid Seats’ Fan Forecast, at least 64 percent of the crowd will be wearing 49ers' red and gold Sunday, leaving only 36 percent wearing the Rams’ blue and yellow. Of course this comes as no surprise to reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa, who also was pleased to see the amount of Faithful in Pittsburgh in Week 1.


“It’s great,” Bosa said Wednesday. “I think we have the best-traveling fan base overall. Pittsburgh was impressive and I think we’ll take over L.A."

The 49ers also will wear their home red jerseys this weekend, making the atmosphere feel even more like a Levi's Stadium game.


A Vivid Seats spokesperson said that a proprietary algorithm that uses more than geography to predict fan affiliation believes that there is a large faction of 49ers fans living in southern California. Of course, this is standard operating procedure for the Faithful at all away venues.

The Los Angeles takeover is nothing new to either team as the SoFi stands have been predominantly red when the 49ers travel south since the stadium opened in 2020. Not only is this fun for 49ers fans, but it also gives San Francisco's defense an assist forcing Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense to use a silent count as a result of the noise.

This showing of 49ers fans in Los Angeles will rival the 65 percent that were in attendance for the 2021 NFC Championship Game, and is more than the 60 percent that showed up for their Week 18 contest just a few weeks before the conference title game.

So you’re saying 65% of the crowd took a Walk of Shame after the Rams dispatched the Niners in the NFC Championship game. What a humiliating experience for the LOSER since 1995.

Either way, I'm in PA. If I lived in LA I'd be at Sofi for all Rams home games. Maybe the majority of Rams fans in LA are lower income and can't afford it. I don't know the reason but it is sad for the players and coaching staff to have an away atmosphere at a home game.

I don't like them either. In fact the only Rams-Niners game I ever attended was with Kap starting. Such a fun game. I must say the Niners traveled that day as well. Man...

I think most of the die hard Rams fans are spread out across the country. I have been to Rams games in DC, Baltimore and Minnesota and I have seen a really good number of Rams fans at all of those games (especially MN).

I have been a Rams fan since the late 70s and I have never lived anywhere close to LA and have never seen a Rams home game.

Sadly long gone are the days when visiting fans had no advantage. When was that last... like 1975? I know the Superdome and Kingdome crowds started the noise factor. And there was no sea of red or any color. Many didn't even wear their team colors.... maybe a hat or beanie here and there from the Sears Wishbook. You never saw fan fights, or at least because there was no social media. I think the Steelers started the sea of color with that damn terrible towel. Or it was the Oilers with the luv ya blue signs. It just snowballed and now we see too many ugly assholes in hideous red jerseys.

Loved the wishbook. In 1976 I got the sweatshirt (Ram helmet logo) and the beanie from parents. In 1977 after the mud bowl loss my step dad (a Vikings fan) gave me that 70s striped cap. Both head gear had that same blue Rams head which I have always loved.
