I wish I could see/hear the note/conversation/recording that McVay sends the league office this week about the officiating

I'm only upset about losing seeding. The Rams' D shut down both Hurts and Barkley's lanes and escapes, and look stronger in a lot of ways. They had to adjust to beat us in half 2; a lot of talent over there.

Witherspoon was a big loss and we probably need to look for someone.
Pass pro is a concern, and Hav doesn't seem to be what he was. I don't think Staff getting knocked around is sustainable.

I've seen comments about how Shula went into a "soft" or prevent defense when the Rams went up 26-7. At that point, isn't the defense supposed to "pin their ears back and harass the QB" for the remainder of the game? Instead we made Hurts and AJ Brown and Smith look like all stars. WTF happened? I don't know. But losing Witherspoon and Dotson absolutely killed us. Then all-pro Lane Johnson goes out and the Rams D-line starts feasting. After getting abused, the Eagles sub tackle gets pulled and the third-string guy looks like an all-pro. How could Verse or Young not feasted on that guy? Anyway... I''m just starting to get over it. Keep in mind, however, that the Rams will get better after this. They knew they had dominated the Eagles and they blew it. It won't happen again!! These young guys will learn from this.

In before the lock, that was as painful of a loss as I can remember. Thought it was over at 26-7, felt really good

I still ain't over this shit yet. The butt shove should be illegal, yadayadayada, but we lost the fucking game due to attempting 6 goddamn field goals, and 2 of them, well, fuck it, sucked. Put the damn ball in the end zone and we win going away.

Oh, The False Start Special? Not sure they make it to the SB last year without it.

I was pretty sure the holding started then, cause I have never seen the Rams DL so bunched up, I was like there had to be holding but couldn't confirm.

Can we shelve all the talk about Shula as head coach next year? Let's get some consistency going, no way we should have given up 30+ points. McVay and Stafford have hamstrung this offense with poor decisions and really bad playcalling, still!..... and a piss poor oline still!.... rams front office needs to do better.

24 hour cooling off period helps ease the sting. You guys have made many pertinent points. FGs instead of TDs early came back to bite. I still think we are way better than both GB and Philly this year. They will have their road bumps too. Home field throughout the playoffs is still very much in play. Kelce makes that catch last week and maybe Philly loses that one. Agree with bad refs...Philly getting KC treatment this year but one TD instead of FG in 1st half and this would be victory Monday, one of those last 2 FG's is good, this is victory Monday. My glass is still half full, we will pop Indy's bubble next week. Our deficiencies have been exposed in the secondary but I trust the D will adjust and we use home field to our advantage. Go Rams!

I wonder who made the call to go to a prevent defense. I would think the DC would have the say but it's like why make the call to do it so damn early when you were owning them doing what you were doing. I just don't get it. They were attacking the backup tackle effectively and it was like oh we kicked a bunch of field goals, we got this. I am not sure how they thought the reigning SB champs would be beaten by FGs.

AS soon as the switch happened, I knew they were going to march down the field and most likely catch up. I just did not see us getting lucky. I said that in hope that I'd be wrong.

It wasn't prevent as much as it was soft zone.

But still allowed too much room between the receivers and the CBs.

I kept yelling at the TV - play closer to the line of scrimmage.

I saw quite a few 3rd down and long where we were giving up 8 to 10 yards to the receiver.

I would have been okay if they did 5 yards.

8 to 10 yards was too much.

Wow, so according to Puka, his penalty was for the flex.....talk about rigging it for Philly. Reading this shit made me even more pissed off.

We'll be fine.... I head McVay on the podium after the game...

No on learns anything when you win 2 games.
We have a lot to learn from this week. (Understatement, right there)

We'll see, says me..... :laugh1:

It was a total team fail. Stafford had how many chances to put a knife in them with a TD drive and answer in the second half but he was busy shitting his pants. Whole team got iced. It's just like the way the Shitters had us mentally over the barrell prior to the NFCCG in our title season.

Maybe we can knock them out in the playoffs. McVay might be good enough to get that done with this roster. But I think we're too shitty at corner and I don't trust this OL.
