We couldn’t just lose, no. We had to lose in some embarrassingly comical fashion. These eagles games are a bit personal to me in a way that I can’t explain or expect people to understand. But this one really really hurt me.
We'll beat them when it matters most....its week 3.....

Pissed...
In no order:

1. Matt , not one of his best games. Missed throws he should have made, sometimes he's human.
2. Officials missed a lot of calls. with reviews available? How much do they get paid?
3. our second half was as bad as there 1st half.
4. Good teams find a way to win, and we did not.
5. Maybe a good thing for a young team to get their face slapped, its early.

It wouldn't surprise me. And it would be moreso "you're not good enough right now."

That said I don't think that will happen, because he's a young player who did good things for us at center as a rook. But holy fuck he has been terrible at guard. To the point where they have to be thinking what will we do if we don't get Avila back soon.

Since Dedich is ahead of him on the depth chart he is basically the 2nd iOL depth piece, which is getting into that roster bubble range (what probably saves him is being the center backup). I doubt they could just go find someone better, but if they like someone out there he may be gone.

Well..rethinking what I said, it it not Limmer's fault he is out of position.

If he has value at center then we should keep him.

Everybody in the world knew Limmer was the weak link at that moment. Why in the world did they try to run behind him on a 4th and short??
This his baffling to me.
Being down on the field, managing in game stuff and play calling. I wonder if McVay has someone in the both to get into his ear about some of this stuff or that would be too distracting.

Can't believe how pissed I am. Walked away from phone and computer but this one really got under my skin, I haven't cooled off at all just aggravated as hell.

Worst thing is Indy is a bad matchup for us. Their strength is their OL, which nullifies our strength to some extent. Shit tons of weapons in that offense. They look like they can put up 30+ on anyone. Good thing is their defense doesn't look that great. But it looks like another "playoff" level game for the Rams.
Next three are tough for sure.
I had the Rams at 4-2 after six games, so, still on my meaningless schedule.
Colts are an interesting match up. I haven't watched them much but I do like their roster on paper.
Its at home which is helpful.
Would very much like to keep the running game rolling....the best help for a defense is a good running game.

Then replace or get rid of the holder if true. We need a special teams units where the holder doesn't shit their pants when holding the kick.
Well thats Evans, so the Rams aren't getting rid of the holder.
Teams generally have the punter hold now instead of the back up QB. Used to be the back up QB incase things went south, a bad snap or whatever, he could possible make a pass. But, the punter words a lot more with the long snapper and doesn't take practice time away from the backup QB, so makes sense.

Beau Limmer is a turnstile. McVay is turning the offense into a Puka and Matthew Stafford Show. Where’s Tutu? Why not activate Ferguson and use him?
The issue there is who is back up C?
It would make sense to promote Bowles from the PS as a back up G, but, that means carrying three depth IOL on game day....that is a lot.
Limmer just gets so off balance on his first move DL know if they avoid him locking on with his first move its over, they are by him. He can lock on and be powerful, but, he just cant say in front of guys. It shows, while preseason is useful, it is also a bit of an illusion at times.

And lastly... we are all beating up on Limmer, and for good reason... but Darious Williams didn't deserve to be out there either. Don't know what happened to him this year but he looks terrible.

That's the problem - he has value at center but very little value at guard.

We need to find another player off someone's practice squad that has value at both guard and center.

I have to believe there is someone better out there that is better than Limmer at guard and okay at center.

Between him, Shelton and Dedich it was pathetic out there.
Dedich was good overall and has been since he has been in.
Havenstein was beaten more than Dedich yesterday with passrsush. I keep saying it, Dedich is playing better than Avila was. Let Avila heal up 100% before comes back and see if he outplays him, because, he has not in awhile.
Shelton got pushed around by bigger pass rushers a fair amount per the usual, Limmer seems to have lost it. Or maybe he is just a center who can operate in that phone booth better. Either way, the depth we though was there does not appear to be there......lets not find out about Tackle depth please.
But, as good as the running back were, you don't average 5 yards a carry against the DL without the OL doing some work.

I would just bring up Bowles from the PS.

I was really ticked off on Williams doing the exaggerated push off on the TD pass.

He had a good chance to intercept the pass if he went after the ball instead of faking being pushed off.

I saw all of the interior including Dedich pushed back often yesterday. The backs usually had success to the outside or cutting back.

If Witherspoon isn't there the Rams don't have a CB who can physically match up with Brown. Im surprised it took the Eagles so long to start targeting him. That means more zone coverages, which means guys are open. If the pass rush doesn't get pressure its hard for any secondary to hold up. Take your best CB out of the equation and it is magnified.
