Could have been hosting the Championship in late January, BUT the moment was a little too big for 'em.

So, it'll be another slog through the Playoffs for a game or two, then Rams'll lose a close one in frigid Philly or Green Bay, then we can spend another offseason patting ourselves on the back at how close we came to beating the NFC rep in the Super Bowl on the Road in cold weather.

3 blocks in two games. The last two attempts blocked. One time its an anomaly. Someone missed a block. Maybe the kicker kicked too low. Usually corrected after that. Two times in two games you gather them together, look at what went wrong and correct it. 3 times, two in a row and its officially a problem. If it happens again next week McVay's gotta step in and raise hell. Heck, he should raise hell today with special teams.
On the last one, Davis walked back two blockers. I thought Limmer was a strong man? You just can’t let that happen!

Also, I sadly, am not so sure we will beat the Eagles if we meet them again in the playoffs like everyone else seems to be. They don't impress me much. We always out play them. But what they are amazing at is not shooting themselves in the foot over and over and over again. They do make mistakes. No team is perfect. Barkley dropped a pass near the end that could have sealed it. But they really are great a keeping catastrophic self-inflicted wounds to a minimum. If only the Rams were so lucky. We pissed this game away just like we did our last meeting with all the turnovers. If we meet a third time, why would the outcome be differerent. I am getting tired of moral victories vs. Eagles. "We should have won". "We had them beat". "We were the better team". All true but who cares if you get the L?

We need to clean things up. Badly.

McVay getting cute and not continuing to use what was a strong rushing attack.
Stafford missing high on throws & appears to be force feeding Adams.
Rams forgot about the TEs again.

Still screaming at those 3 man pressures Shula called.
Darious Williams should have never even sniffed A.J. Brown.
Apparently our first round pick was just made to give the defense a look in practice. I think I saw one, maybe two passes to the TEs today.

They did a good job adjusting at halftime. We didn't do shit.

The only hope will be for these teams to be somehow eliminated first

I Dont Believe You Will Ferrell GIF
Whatever.
You were probably one of the ones jumping ship each of the last 2 season when the Rams started slow.

It's 1 game so as far as it's impact on the season goes there is too much football left to be worried.
On another note I saw so many other tings that are a concern and really deflating as a fan of our team and a fan of the sport

Its a long season. We're gonna win more games. 2-1 isn't a bad start. But those blocks could be the difference between playing Philly at home instead of on the road which would be more likely now.

That won't be our last lost. But its still a hard pill to swallow knowing we were in control and gave it up. I blame Philly's first TD drive in the second half. It sure looked like the defense took the foot off the gas thinking this game was won. Then couldn't get it back when they needed it. I hope they learn from it.
This. Losing this game at Philly wasn’t unexpected. Losing the way we did being out scored 26-0 is what hurts. Like you said a win could be difference in rematch at home or back in Philly. And even if in Philly despite us winning that would give us huge confidence. Winning in the snow at Philly is very difficult. Have to play the Eagles, the weather, and the refs.

And the Eagles are 28-5 at home since the start of the 2022 season. Including 5-0 in the playoffs.

It's not about how the Rams respond, or almost winning. It's how they've lost something really valuable they can't get back. A tiebreaker over Philly that potentially could've forced the Eagles to come to LA in January.

I don't want to go back up there to win a playoff game. That doesn't favour the Rams.

You had to know it was all talk by the league. They know they can't see the play. They should have called false starts the first couple of times no matter what just to keep them honest.
Sure they can. I saw the first one real time, and said right guard jumped.

If you can’t officiate it, why is it a legal play?

Have you guys not learned anything about this team. They thrive on failure to push them forward. Don't give up on the SB till it is over.
